    Lovely to see you! Oh my what beautiful patterns you’ve discovered, I really like them all, but if I had to choose, the china blue sweater, and the striped, but all love the batwing, wide intricate pattern sweater. The Boucle clutch is so unique, I suppose you would have to source a frame with clasp for the closure, can’t wait to see which one you will start. Happy knitting New Year! Suze. 😊

      Thank you for watching! I think the Porcelain Sweater is one of my favourites too - I'm trying to find the yarn for it as I type this. The clutch is very unique. I think a haberdashery around the corner may have the right bits of hardware for it. It will be an interesting challenge to line it too. Happy New Year!

    Thanks for sharing your Winter ideas - love so many of them....and might try the NORD pullover. BTW I made two Jeol sweaters - amazing pattern. Did one with a tan top and charcoal bottom and the other a grey top with charcoal for a friend. The chevron takes a great deal of concentration, so I am not sure I am going to try the Obba, but it too looks amazing. Plus I noticed there is a cowl with the same chevron pattern. Love your program. You are so detailed in your description which makes such most helpful. Can't wait to see what you create first. All the best, Kare

      Thank you for watching. So cool that you made two of the Jeol Sweater. Such a stunning pattern. I'm about to cast on the Obba right now and hope that it doesn't take me forever! Happy knitting :)

    Hi Isy, I really appreciate your aesthetic of knits, gorgeous choices! Surprisingly, we almost get the same list of plan❤ I already finished my Porcelain Sweater, that gave me definitely a pleasant process. And thank you for recommending Nord pullover, I was looking for a simple and classic pullover and now I decide to dive into it immediately. Obba sweater caught my eyes for a while, I'm not so sure about the size, seems like it has a very baggy shape. Love to see your sharing for the next time😊

      Hi! Thanks for watching - so glad you liked the list. I can’t wait to start the Porcelain Sweater. It looks so perfect! I hope you enjoy the Nord Pullover if you decide to make it. She is one of my favourite designers. Happy knitting! 🧶

      Hi! I will be back very soon - I took a little break from knitting to rest my hands and think about my spring/summer plans. I've got a lovely Whitmoor Cardigan on my needles that I can't wait to share. Hope you are well and getting ready for summer knits.

      Hi! Thanks for watching. No baby knits yet as I do not have a baby to knit for or on the way. But I love the idea of knitting something so tiny.

    Hi again ! I noticed that many patterns are not on Ravelry…? Is there a way to buy them and add to my library on Ravelry?

    • @OrsaMakes
      @OrsaMakes  Рік тому +2

      Hi again. Most of these patterns are available on Ravelry if you do a quick search. I included the original designer's websites as I know that sometimes they pay less of a comission to marketplaces/platforms that way and you can more easily see their whole vision for their brands. I think the only one which isn't on Ravelry is the Others Loops pattern. But I may add Ravelry links too for people who prefer. I also like to keep my library all in one place.

      @@OrsaMakes please do add the addresses because I find Ravelry search bar somewhat weird at times … I wrote the name of jeol sweater and nothing in the search from Ravelry…

      @@helenedumoulin9092 Oh no! Same! It is an unruly search bar. Will get them up in the next hour or two.

    Loved your list! The Obba Sweater however, is sadly not size inclusive at all. It has a largest bust size of 130cm with intended positive ease of 10-15cm so actual bust size of person would be 115cm approximately and below. It's very unfortunate because a lot of knitters were looking forward to this as it's visually stunning but just very disappointing how designers continue to ignore a whole demographic of people.

    • @OrsaMakes
      @OrsaMakes  Рік тому +1

      Hi. Thanks for watching. You make an excellent point. I hadn't realised it was so limited in the sizing until I double-checked while recording . I agree that it is a shame that it is in such limited sizes. I'm very new to the size inclusive discussion and will try to look out for this in the future.

    • @22mononoke
      @22mononoke Рік тому +2

      @@OrsaMakes Thank you! Although I do love it when designers are size inclusive I don't believe in ostracising the designer like some do. There can be many reasons why the designer might not be making larger sizes, such as finances (spending increases I imagine for grading more sizes) or even ability if they are just starting out as designers. It could also be that the look of the garment changes so much on a plus size person that you have to draft a completely different pattern (you see this with thinner colour work yokes which look in proportion for smaller sizes while looking almost like a necklace for a larger person). I just find it helpful having a heads up about the size range when a pattern is shown, especially one as beautiful as the Obba (which I definitely wanted to buy and knit), so that I don't bother looking it up as it's not going to fit me anyway. Otherwise I personally don't have an issue with seeing such beautiful patterns as the Obba as everything in the knitting world is a source of inspiration. Thank you for your amazing videos, they are always a joy to watch.

    Moby sweater is a copy-paste of Skall Studio Oda Pullover

      Hi! Yes, very similiar but different sleeve construction. Love the Skall Studio patterns.

    • @My_slow_story
      @My_slow_story 9 місяців тому

      @@OrsaMakes I get that. Just found it very surprising when I was knitting Oda sweater the shortly after Moby was released.. looking almost identical in panel texture and set up.

    • @OrsaMakes
      @OrsaMakes  9 місяців тому +1

      @@My_slow_story Yes, it is odd. I find a lot of the big designers kind of release versions of similiar designs. I wonder if they sometimes get inspired by the same thing or if it is actual copying. I loved the Oda Sweater but was put off because they don't include yardage on their website. How have you found it?

    • @My_slow_story
      @My_slow_story 9 місяців тому +1

      @@OrsaMakes The ultimate knitting inspiration source. How interesting! I really enjoyed knitting Oda, it's a very simple design with short row shaping at shoulder panels. Overall very satisfied with how fresh it looks despite the cable motif. However, design comes only with two sizes but could be easily tweaked to suit other size demands. Now I am waiting for the release of their Magda design. It's classic, elegant and universal pullover with high ribbed neckline. Shame it was tested last winter and yet not published, but rapid expansion of the brand doesn't make knitting patterns a priority. Hope it will be worth the wait in the end!
