Great video, I used to watch the planes come & go in San Diego back in the 80's , alot of 727's and Fat Albert 737's , DC-9's, DC-10's and an L1011 every now and then. You had a super view back then....you could basically park anywhere along the fence line and watch the planes, now it's all controlled employee parking or something like that.
Suprised to see all the int'l traffic into SAN (been away too long), most surprising was the Edleweiss and JAL flights. Good on SAN, no need for LAX and SFO to have all the fun. Nice video work.
@@davidfoster7173 I know I never said they did. It still flew to SD. I was commenting about an updated video for the end of the year from the original comment
Do you know of any other filming locations at SAN? I’ve heard about the parking garage but I’m not sure if I’ll be allowed to take pictures by the parking security
Nice Dreamliner but Jal needs a more colorful paint scheme B 747 is my favorite. Good job by BA for keeping them flying, unlike US carriers. Corporate greed trumps again
That Hawaiian A330 landing was super smooth
Very nice footage of our dinky but exciting one runway airport. Has to be the most convenient airport in the U.S.!
It has the busiest single runaway in the U.S and the 3rd in the world
Who could ask for a better plane spotting compilation from KSAN than this?
2:57 Delta 747. 😊
I think that Delta was a charter for a football team.
I used to sit at that same spot for hours and hours, watching some of those same flights. Makes me feel nostalgic. Thank you.
Nice video. I knew 767s, 787s and A330 landed there but had no idea 747s and and 777s did.
At 2:50 you can see an Omni Air International 777 just below the JAL 787. Very cool!

Where do you park to see the planes lane??
When I think of San Diego, I think of PSA. Long gone are those days of being an avgeek.
Craig Jackson My fam calls PSA “piece of shit airlines”
I was just thinking about PSA a little earlier when I was watching another video of planes landing at "Lindbergh Field."
When that BA 747 Queen of the skies landed at the end with the setting sun 😎👌 Ooooooooooooooh baby! TOP VIDEO yaya
Hey here from 2021...its so amazing that u got to catch those planes nowadays passenger 747 is gone
Can't wait to see an updated version to this at the end of the year that includes a Lufthansa A340
And air France 777
@@SimplyCali619 the Air France was a charter for a science convention. They don't fly to SAN.

Save the best for last ey'? Nice! Great job on the video.
Amazing quality! I just wish more airlines flew here.
OMG SMOOTH!Look at Hawaiian Airlines landing
Amazing plane spotting
Nice collection of widebody traffic at SAN! Very cool! Liked!
soon Lufthansa with it a340
Oh cool!
Yup! Lufthansa Hairdryers
Beautiful. Love the light at the end.
Thank you.
Great contrast of the DC-10 and MD-11!
Brilliant how you saved the best for last, the 77W and 744 which are about the same size despite that the latter has twice as many engines!👍
Beautiful footage 👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome compilation mate ❤️❤️
Beautiful video!
Excellent compilation my friend
Oh yes widies is what I love here at SAN!
The BA 747s will surely be missed especially at this airport :(
B Lau oh for sure. imagine standing on the streets below while they come in for landing. I wish I did but never got the chance to
Nice compilation!

Nice vid!
Middle Aircraft to Large Aircraft 💖💖
Great video! Where is the filming location? How did you get high enough to be on top of the fence?
First time I ever flew was to San Diego to go to Boot Camp. Boot Camp was right next to the airport.
Wide body overload
Does FedEx still fly md11s there
Nice video and the spotting location!
Thanks!
Very nice!
Nice Dreamliner but Jal needs a more colorful paint scheme

Love your work - liked and subbed!!
Super Video 👍
Great video! Where was filmed from? Would love to go.
Thanks! There is a small parking lot south of the airport. If you’d like more detailed info then let me know!
Lol, and you did, you kept word! Like your videos too.
I Watch some of the planes from the Velo Drone in San Diego!
I wonder why there was a DL B747 @ SAN?
I was on that 747.
Nice compilation. Who is the whit 747?
Dubai Air Wing
😐I live like five minutes from the airport, they're okay to watch when I'm bored so yeah
Where did you film from
So sad that the 747 is now retired
Can a 787-9 fit into this airport?
Yes, the largest aircraft that flies here now is an A350-1000
I did see a 777 before at San Diego airport. I don’t recall the last time I saw it but it can fit some large aircraft.
Please tell me where the spotting location was?!
Parking lot off Harbor Dr.
A330 Butter 1:49
Anyone else wondering about the JAL 787-8 that wasn't supposed to go into service until this week? (at 2:36)
Neato
Yo they stopped flying the 747 and the 777 here it's so dry and boring now 😭
FedEx all in to win
2:50.. 787 and 777 😁
I'm pretty sure Lufthansa operates an A340 to Frankfurt.
No doubt, but this video came out before the flight started. -_-
@@CAaviation125 ah ok thanks for the clarification. Have you seen one yet?
Edit: ok I just saw the inaugural flight lol that's very cool
Sadly, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, I'm afraid we'll only be seeing cargo widebodies at SAN for quite a while. Sigh...
cheer up, that means more tri jets ;D
Come on.....you gotta admit from 1:50 to 1:55ish the Hawaiian pilot wasn't surfin the runway~
