The first National Nursing Home Experience Survey gets underway

Today, the first National Nursing Home Experience Survey gets underway, asking residents from participating nursing homes, and a family member or friend, about their experience of care.
The survey is the first of its kind in Ireland, and aims to identify areas of good care and areas that need to be improved, in order to drive improvements in nursing home care in Ireland.
The survey is part of the National Care Experience Programme, a joint initiative by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the Department of Health.
