I really have no idea why Monique was going back and forth with his sister like that. I would've just blocked them and went about my day. If they called from a fake number I woulda just called the phone company and got my number changed. Like she's 34. All of that rah rah shit was completely unnecessary and I felt bad for Derek because she just wouldn't listen to him and she really could put him in a situation to go back to jail. The sisters want a reaction from Monique If she ignored them they would go away. I definitely think that was his sisters in the car.

if my fiance had to come off as single to a female-dominated audience, it would definitely make me uncomfortable. i am an insecure and jealous person which i'm trying to work on, but i've also seen how some women act in fandoms toward male celebrities and the things they say. some women get really bold and find desperate ways to meet their male idols to make moves on them. i think making it clear that a man is married should be the default in a situation like that - sure, maybe he won't be as big of a "stan attracter" because he isn't "available" to the delusional fans but that could also be seen as a good thing. the fans he _would_ have would be there for his art and not for his looks or with the hopes of getting with him.

Regardless of what someone portrays, if you're going to be with someone who wants to be famous, you have to be confident and trusting until you have a reason not to be. Of course, fans are there for his art, but it's still all about sales, and people want a fantasy. So, of course, some fans are going to fantasize about being with him. We've all done it with some celebrity crush we've had. He could try to build a brand around being a family man, maybe it might make him stand out, who knows. Derek is definitely using Monique to get steady as soon as he’s set off he’s dumping her. And Monique is blind sided by having a man she think “loves" her doesn’t realize he’s using her. I think they can overcome there problems if Monique stop controlling Derek, and if Derek prioritize there relationship more than getting his life set I think they can make it out because I think Derek actually likes Monique.
