I'm 61 years old. I grew up when Elvis was alive and he is by far better than any voice in the world or will ever be. He is the King of Rock n' roll and he was heaven sent. He's the only one that can sing rock n' roll, gospel, country, pop and rhythm and blues. No other artist can do that!!!

I know this song isn’t about a father and son but every time I hear it it really gets to me. My dad passed away 12/08/21. Dad belongs here by my side and I can’t wait to come flying to him and all the crying will finally be through. Until then I’ll try my best dad to take care of mom, my wife and our three daughters. How anybody can put a Dislike???? Elvis music is the heaven melody!!!
No disrepect but some are upset? I can't understand why so many are offended about updates as I am sure even Elvis would have wanted them. If they watch and listen Elvis HIMSELF changed or permitted his sound to change during the years to stay relevant. Thus, we categorize his different sound eras. For example, Elvis was Executive Producer on Moody Blue and had some charge of what was released and that doesn't sound anything like the American Studio sessions of 1969 at which time these vocals were originally produced. As a matter of fact if I remember correctly, Elvis while on stage would say, This is one of the first songs I that I ever recorded. We had a rythm guitar and a steel base and it went like this regarding "That's alright mama." BUT the whole show didn't have just that minimalist sound did it? Should we criticize the fact that he didn't always wear the same Gold Lam'e suit every performance too? Elvis REQUESTED fresh and trend setting designs for the Vegas years etc. This really points to the fact that many think they know Elvis better than Elvis knew himself. I feel sad for those people.

He is not the standard...he is the PINNACLE of talent. His voice was never to be duplicated or surpassed and that with his physical package was absolutely SUBLIME.
No equal, nothing even remotely close...and they broke his mold.
He was and always will be, THE KING. And that's no understatement.
Wasn't just his voice... many people have his voice. They don't have the talent to put it to use. No one has ever had elvis's ability to create this kind of music.
Roy Orbison had a more powerful and better voice according to many great established musicians and indeed Elvis himself but clearly not as many fans?

Of course changes in his lifestyle but he couldnt avoid that. Elvis stayed a good person till he passed. When ever I'm at the end of my rope depressed and want to end it it's Elvis that brings me back. I thank you GOD for this Angel of music. He really was heaven sent. It was Elvis Gospel music that brought me back to GOD.

It's a song from a movie, general overlooked at the time but all but true Elvis fans.. resurfaced about a year or two ago in, getting a lot of play on Elvis Sirius/XM which has led to Dean Z, Cody & others doing it in acts and finding its way on to broadcast fm stations. It's now become an often requested ballad. Great song!
