    This is possibly the best and the most accurate analysis of the GGG v Kell fight. Good job Kenprimo

    You are more fair in your assessment of the fight than other channels who are so called "boxing Channel." Everything you said is true and made a lot of sense to me (subs to you)

    excellent commentary dude impressive GG is a great fighter and you nailed it he is not unbeatable but his career will be over in 2 - 3 years because it makes sense

    a broken orbital could potentially be a career ending injury. His next fight, what do you think the opposition and camp is going to focus on? Breaking that socket again. Look at Margarito. Brooks career is over imo and I just hope the money was worth it.

    Watch his fights against lemieux and Stevens he has a much better defence then he showed yesterday in brawlingmodus.

      agreed, GGG is an amazing boxer and displayed that in the Lemuiex fight. GGG shut his entire gameplan down and out boxed and slipped and moved. I think Brook was an opportunity for GGG to play possum and get these other 60 lbs to step up and I think it worked.

      I agree with that theory too. But, in my opinion GGG just did not respect Brook as a legitimate 160lb to fight safe. GGG himself was inviting Brook to a braw and GGG said himself he want to fight a street fight.

    Golovkin has a head like a rock....so to beat him you better be a heavier hitter than GGG is...Lemeiux gave him some good shots...but didn't slow Golovkin down

    Great analysis! Think if FMJ did meet him at 154 he would get stopped. I don't believe it is possible for a boxer, even with 10x the skill of FMJ to go 12 rounds without getting hit at all and I don't believe FMJ can afford to get hit by GGG. Every punch landed, even just on the arm, would take something out of him until eventually one landed on body or head with enough on it, it wouldn't have to be a really clean shot.

      I think Floyd would not get hit and if he did he can take steam off a punch. If flush a few times he'd be okay. He would only take the fight if he was ready. GGG is not a draw like Canelo. Maybe now he is closer. At 154 Floyd wins imo.

      +kenprimo Good video. I'll have to respectfully disagree with a couple of things though. I do agree that the idea that GGG was "exposed" is absolute nonsense. He wasn't trying to box at all against Brook...he even said it himself after the fight that he treated it as a "street fight" not a world-class boxing performance. He had no mindset on defense whatsoever. It's funny because the GGG detractors have said on a few different occasions now that GGG was exposed lol. It's silly. GGG has literally let his opponent hit him with some shots in a few of his fights. One thing I disagree with is that I believe that GGG has a lot better defense than he's given credit for by a lot of people. He's certainly not a defensive wizard by any stretch of the imagination but when he want's to, he can be pretty responsible defensively. Obviously not in this fight with Brook but it was clear that he wasn't concerned about being defensive whatsoever. GGG is second only to Andre Ward in punches landed to punches landed on him ratio (I can't remember the correct term for it). The second thing I'll have to disagree with is in regards to Floyd Mayweather. I just don't think Floyd would beat GGG. I don't think that he could avoid Golovkin for 12 full rounds and that's exactly what he would have to do in order to win. I know Floyd is highly skilled defensively but GGG would walk right through his shots and with his ability to cut off the ring so well I think it would be just a matter of time until he caught him. I see it playing out a lot like the Brook fight. Floyd would probably outbox GGG for several rounds but towards the mid rounds I think GGG will have started breaking Floyd down and he would finish the job somewhere in rounds 8-10. Just my opinion though.

      +kenprimo btw have you heard the interview where Darnell Boone said that GGG punches harder in 16oz gloves than Kovalev does in 10oz? Boone also said that he thinks GGG would beat both Ward and Kovalev and that we haven't even seen half of what GGG is capable of in the ring because he's not even had to employ a lot of his skills yet.

      I understand Golovkin has a lot of mythical lore surrounding his power. Yes, he has freakish power. The fact is he was buckled by Brook. He has the power to hurt Kovalev or Ward. But they also can hurt him and Ward is a great boxer and Kovalev is very good. If Brook can buckle Golovkin, surely Kovalev can, maybe Ward. Regardless, Golovkin obviously does not want to fight bigger men, simply because he has opportunities and has chosen not to. If GGG thought he could beat Ward they would fight. The reality is he doesn't think that. He wants to fight guys like Canelo or chase Floyd (a true 147). His power is his strength so guys his weight or lighter are more in his favor which is why he just fought Brook. And his after fight comments were "he's not a middleweight." Of course he wasn't. He was a 147 lber.

    What would happen if Canelo landed all those punches Brook landed? Also -- do you think his wild punches are okay for who is considered the top p4p?

    • @takedowns101
      @takedowns101  8 років тому +1

      that's a very subjective measure. And no, of course it isn't good to throw wild punches as a top p4p. he's the most popular KO artist right now. Is he among the top pound for pound? Well, hes been at 160 a bit knocking everyone out in his path. His style may be a bit reckless at times but it for certain is highly effective. That is clear. His technique or his way is a better technique then the more technical way. He clearly has stronger punch technique than most in the game. The way he uses his body to get power in a shot is uncanny compared to most boxers. This is a technique he honed rather than precisions punches. It balanced out for him for now.
