      Listen... listen... all right, I will tell you the truth, most definitely, I'm a fighta and to be fair it's clearly something that should happen, I will take that into consideration... So I've had a hand injury. But listen, the money they wanted to give me were stupid. Because listen right, listen money is the easy part, it's the easy part. Pay me fairly and I will fight. To be honest I will fight but I don't have a good day today, I have a shiiit day today, honestly... Fair and square....

    • @beebking613
      @beebking613 8 років тому +1

      I was thinking the opposite. Granted, you do never see GGG marked, I agree with you on that, but I was expecting him to be way more marked up than that. Brook isn't a concussive puncher but he hits hard enough and he caught GGG with plenty of clean strikes to the face but there's virtually nothing on him apart from some slight darkening under his eyes. Very slight.

      Rabbinho Rossi I assume you've seen this press conference? GGG's promoter indicates that GGG was mostly well leading up to the fight so it literally doesn't matter what everyone else speculates.
      GGG came out on fire in the 3rd, he wasn't taking it easy; he literally got backed up for the first time in his career. Credit where credit's due.

      True but the 'injury' was caused by the punching power GGG possess not from a clash of heads, a thumb to the eye etc

    • @rustyspygoat4089
      @rustyspygoat4089 8 років тому +2

      Besides the eye injury, you could see Kell was slowing down and not able to get out the way of heavy punches... It was a mater of time before KO was coming

    • @rustyspygoat4089
      @rustyspygoat4089 8 років тому +2

      I agree Brook was frustrating GGG as GGG was trying to get Brooks respect by pressing him but was getting caught plenty. But what I saw was Book's punches being absorbed comfortably by round 5 and GGG was stalking Brook down as he was tiering and getting hit with big blows (you will probably excuse it for the eye injury) but the canelo vs khan fight is a good example of the power puncher taking over in the second half of the fight...

    This fight panned-out precisely how anyone who knows anything about boxing and who didn't buy into the Matchroom/Sky hype knew it would. Brook gave everything in a gallant losing effort, but Golovkin ultimately proved too big and too good. Golovkin would do the same thing to Saunders. Canelo might last a while longer.

      10 seconds of brook action and all of a sudden GGG was in trouble/exposed. At the end of the day brook lost period. people said the same thing when Monroe fought him. Everyone knows GGG will eat punches from a guy who's power he doesn't respect. why do you think he jabbed the shit out of lemieux? because he knew lemieux had power and it would be stupid to trade with him. So he got him tired and broke him down. nothing new. it's just part of the "Big Drama Show". GGG wants to please the fans when there is no real danger from his opponent.

      Kell deserve a lot of credit. He stood and bang with GGG but GGG was owning the fight and only coming on stronger when it looked like Kell was beginning to fade in the fifth. It would have been bad for Kell it was a good stoppage from his corner. I gave Kell the 2nd round only out of the 5.

    No way In hell did Kell expose GGG, because Gennady himself said that he didn't want to box with Kell he wanted to a street fight he wanted to go Head to head, he didn't want a boring fight so he took some hits, and stood there. Now if Gennady wanted to Box Kell that would have been a different story, doubt Kel would have done as well. Like how GGG boxed with Lemieux a heavy hitter.

      On fight night GGG typically weighs about 169-171. On fight night Canelo typically weighs 168-175. GGG dehydrates to 159 for weigh-in. Taking off another 5lbs when you already have a single digit body fat ratio is difficult. Canelo's ability to drain is at the top of the sport, and with age he'll lose that (and already is starting to lose that). Getting down to 154lb for GGG would be very tough on his body and would leave him weakened for the fight. Canelo poses a strong enough challenge that it would be unwise to do so. The only time GGG has mentioned 154 is in fighting Floyd, because: a) If he got lucky and caught Floyd with a few punches over the first 6 rounds or so (which is as many as you would suspect he could land on an even more apprehensive Floyd), he could SERIOUSLY hurt him (or drop him, which is victory enough); and, b) the extra $10 million purse would be sufficient pay for the draining (especially since Floyd's power is of zero concern, as opposed to Canelo who has better power than Floyd).
      There's the long answer. You probably know that though, but figured I'd remind you. Golovkin's last 400 or so fights have been at 160lb. Canelo weighed 174 on fight night with Angulo in 2014. That's heavier than any known fight night weight of GGG's professional career.
      Clear? If Jacobs can beat GGG then we'll find out next fight, since it will be mandated. Don't be surprised when Jacobs passes up on the opportunity.

    GGG is the mini-Klitschko of the 2000's. I know Klitschko's older now and a little over the hill, but in his prime, both Klitschko's were skilled and strong enough to beat any heavyweight in history and, between the two brothers, held every fucking heavyweight title for over a decade. GGG is trying to do that in the middleweight division. We're witnessing greatness here in GGG, folks. We may be seeing the best middleweight to ever live.

    End of the rounds when they show the replay, KELL took flush shots, Golovkins best shots to the face and body and never looked in trouble of going down. Even when the corner through in the towel and Golovkin was pouring it on, Kell still stood up strong and still dodged shots too. The weight difference, and right eye damage which comprised his vision was probably a factor. HOWEVER, Eddie Hearn pre fight said, if KELL loses this fight, it's not because of the weight, it's because the better fighter won. So i guess he has to admit that the better fighter won then.

Brooks welldone for taking this fight. You are a great fighter.

    Such a humble guy, he knew Brook was nothing after the first round and allowed his to hit him, at no point did I see him use his boxing skills, instead he thought lets have a street fight and give the fans what they deserve. He's going to clean the middleweight division then super middleweight and lastly i really hope Ward vs GGG can happen.
    Imagine having 375 fights and never being knocked down? WTF? Never mind having punching power, he has a chin made from diamonds.

    Kell Brook was certainly a lot faster than Golovkin. I have never seen Golovkin look so vulnerable, I thought he might have been having an off day or sick or something. This is probably the most I've seen Gennady tested. But he still had the power and won the fight by breaking Brooks eye socket. I think now he just needs to fight Canelo and Eubank Jr and if he beats them he will have had an awesome career.

    You are mistaken if you think that ggg will fight Ward or Canelo just as he fought against Brook... you are also mistaken when they thought that ggg will fight lemieux, as well as fight with Monroe...
    you have not yet understood that ggg is able to adapt to each opponent...
    this makes it a unique fighter..

      Khan is a lightweight who got knocked out multiple times, GGG started career at 141, Brook at 147, same sized guys. GGG is just elite level, Brook is A level, would beat most guys at 154 and some at 160. You dont know shit and you need to criticize people who are ducking GGG at 160 like Canelo, Saunders, Eubank, Jacobs and others!

    Canelo beats up a guy (knocks him out cold) who goes up in weight to fight him, and it is "a clear mismatch"
    Golovkin beats up another guy who went up in weight, doesn't even knock him out, and he's a beast? give me a break!

    although Brook is weakest opponent Golovkin has faced lately due to his inexperience in new for him weight division, Brook is technically best fighter Golovkin has ever faced. we can only imagine what would happen if Brook would be same division fighter or at least more experienced and phisically ready to this fight. it was worrying at times because Brook could get to Golovkin like nobody else could.
    there was no doubt Golovkin would kill Brook sooner or later as well as it was clear that Brook's shots dont really do damage to Golovkin, but the potential of Brook is amazing. no wonder nobody wants to fight him in his natural division.

    GGG fair game he said it as it was Kells a great fighter but he knew he didn't have the power to trouble him, I really think this shows what a great fight Martin Murray gave GGG , the guy didn't get the credit he deserved for that fight, has to be said GGG is in a class of his own.

    Proud of kell he did his best and if he was a true middleweight would of caused serious problems. It was the right time to stop it. As soon as his eye went he changed completely. Kells a special fighter but golovkin is something else. I'd like to see Eubank trade with him would be an entertaining fight but I doubt it would happen. Get ggg some more fights in uk though you don't get that atmosphere anywhere else in the world.

    Golovkin just kept eating those punches and I was pretty worried, I didn't think he could eat them for much longer. I guess if it was Stevens or Lemeioux hitting him that often he would have been in trouble.

    I want an honest opinion from fans that understand boxing and who were deeply studying this contest from when the bell rang and my question is ..What if that socket was not broken or not caught and Brook used to his new weight ? personally I noticed straight away Brook went flat footed most of the time and the moment he went on the ropes ,I made my conclusion after 2 seconds when he went to the ropes that this was not his night .I expected him to box and move.This is why in the first round when he moved a bit ,he could see the punches and made GGG look wild.Also when Brook moves he has good judgement of range.Just study his fights .This is what boxing is about ,move and box,anticipate and have very good judgement .
    Someone a little but sharper ,tougher can trouble GGG like Ward.
    And by the way I love brawls in boxing but applaud the Mayweather style.

    Kell Brook is a very good boxer and will do well in lower divisions, he didnt have enough power at Middleweight to trouble golovkin. Golovkin didn't do anything special but come forward and throw bombs, as he knew eventually Kell would go; no way would kell have last 12 rounds.

  • @isidu4316

    To be honest, it is a picture of sadness, to see Golovkin rather being used for mainly business purposes than real title fights he deserves! The sweet talk of the managers do not hide the fact that Brooks, at no time, had a chance to win the fight and beside being brave to fight, there was nothing else to prove for him in this fight because Golovkin is boxing on a level brook has still to walk a lot of time to reach, if ever . Unfortunately boxing is currently pure politics and tactics about how to avoid certain fighters and keep belts! Unfortunately!

    GGG looks like he was jumped by 3 people. I've never seen him look like this before. Kell Brook exposed his weaknesses for the world to see. If his orbital bone wasn't fractured, he would have lasted a few more rounds. Am I the only one who sees GGG is looking crazy?
