I was a Freshman when Anthony Carter was a Junior in 1981 and went to all the home games. It was awesome! Had so much fun. Don't remember much, but I know I had fun! This is so cool with Bob Ufer calling the plays on the radio, too!

GM isn’t anywhere on my list of top M receivers since 1970 (I don’t even remember any of the wr’s from 67-69 which goes back to my first games starting at 6 yrs old, but I sure remember the great TE Mandich!)
I've been watching some of the highlights from his pro days in the USFL with the Panthers, a true Michigan man in both college and the pros. Was the best player on Michigan's last championship pro football team.
Braylon Edwards was asked if he was the best reciever in Michigan's history, and he said yes. I have to disagree. Bo ran the ball 70% of the time, and AC still had a ton of records. I watched AC play, and I think he is still the best reciever in UM history.
Devota Smith reminds me of A C. He was one of my favorites when I was a kid. Instant Offense! Growing up in the Tri-state area, ABC would ALWAYS show the Big 10. Fun times in the late 70/early 80s.

After returning from the game, my friends told me how Bob Ufer totally lost his mind calling that game on the radio but I never heard heard it until recently on YT. AC had a fluid stride like nobody I've ever seen. Just warming up he really stood out. Bo Schembechler was well known for conservative, running football but he knew what he had with Carter and to his credit, completely changed his style of offense. This was a once in a generation player for Michigan.
My Reason For Loving Michigan but I must admit I for some reason always thought he was from Bama, but doesn't matter because in those days it was all Michigan and Nebraska. The Game was never over with that #1 on the Field . Classy, Greatest Athletic and one thing he done that Bear Bryant always said is when you score act like youve been there before and Anthony always did!

Yes back in the day the big ten was stack from top to bottom. Isn't the same now especially with the divisions split up. U have penn Ohio and Michigan in the east . But I guess they where trying not to have the same teams in the Big Ten championship game every yr. So I guess it's fair in a way.

Greatest of all time, lions was to cheap to send a second round pick to Miami for him, but Minnesota did. You was the best AC. GO BLUE.
He did end up playing his final season with the Lions. However, he was awesome still for the Michigan Panthers!!

AC is the reason I became a Michigan fan… as he was listed 5’11, but (like me) he was 5’8, 5’9 on a good day!
