Quick tip: when you part, go back over the part with gel to get cleaner, crisper part lines. ❤️

My cousin does this... Im not a fan of it. I see that it does help people but It's basically like greasing your scalp with Gel. It's uncomfortable to me and I would think it's unhealthy too 💔

    • @rijohnson5929
      @rijohnson5929 5 років тому +11

@@twittytv8654 it's not unhealthy if you have a gel or jam with natural, water soluble products. I do the same thing and I have regular clients who all have healthy hair growth. You can't do it with "regular" gel...or it gets flaky and ugly before it's even old.

The timing will always depend on the following: clients head sz hair thickness braid length and braid thickness and braid closeness the closer the braids and parts the more braids to do.please consider all of the above when pricing your braids.

I pre separate my hair and hang it on a huge cardboard with hooks like beauty can braid. It saves so much time. Also tame the ends too ahead of braiding time. Got some hooks from dollar tree.

Chuchiee Chinita use the EZ braid prepulled prestretched braiding hair. It's good quality hair just like the Xpressions hair. It's also a lot cheaper. Get you a thread holder from Walmart and put a base on it (I can ship you one if you'd like). Prepare all of your pieces of hair for your braids before. Go ahead and part the rows in the clients hair before starting to braid. I promise you it'll cut some time. Also do the roots first then Go back and braid the ends while you're waiting for water to boil etc.

These braids are large, makes since why it would take 3 hours. When I do my own hair this size takes me 5 hours with staright parting.
I love the expressions hair for the same reasons. You get more for your money!.
I also part the hair in 3 sections to start. The back takes the longest time to do, makes me manage my time better.

Can you make another video showing the actual size amount of hair you use for each braid and the way you started your braids from the roots. The camera didn't show that, your hands were in the way and when you put the expression hair together it was hard seeing how you held them together with one hand. Please just show that in a 15 to 20 minute video. You're wouldn't need to video your client's whole head...just maybe 2 or 3 braids. Thank you Jess, I love your finished look.

It's not the size of the braid that causes damage it's how the hair is pulled & gripped so if ur stylist is pulling against the shaft of ur hair that will make it break off.....as well as different hair stands die off everyday so shedding is inevitable

1mamachunk i part everybody hair the same way unless they state other wise. I usually part down the middle then start on the back I do 3 rows based on person head size each row will have about 4 to 7 braids so last row I normally do 4 and I also do the window method this helps a lot to know how many braid you will do in the next row. When I get to the front I start on the sides each side will have 2 rows first row by the ear 3-4 braids next row 4-6 braids the same on the other side then the middle I do them going back still using the window method I normally do about 4-5 parts in the middle each row contains about 3-4 braids.

maybe you should pre-stretch the hair instead of doing it for every single braid❤️

Pointers...xpressions braiding hair is heavy heavy...using 5 pks still equates as 10 pks of hair...each pk is $5. You save money and your client's neck by just doing the 3 for $5...everyone has their thing.

Yeah she shouldve used more jam or gripped her hair more so that all of her hair could be in the braid

yes it was dry on her edges and the braid was to loose like it was about to slip out

It was fine if she braids to near to the scalp she will have a headache later that’s to much tension that will cause definite breakage.

Melvis Serwaa No maam it would not she shouldve parted it smaller or used some more jam on her edge and smoothed it to where she could be able to grip all of her hair. In about 2 or 3 days some of her hair will be out the braid making it look like she already had them in for a long ass time. I do hair I can post my pictures love.

Took me about two hours over the weekend to do my box braids with relatively small parts. I just didn’t take any breaks 😬

Everyones talking bout "those arent medium" like okay but they still like 30-40 inches braided all the way to the end? I agree that she didnt show any special methods BUT that doesnt make it any less impressive
