on JackSucksAtGeography we upload a range of easy to watch & sometimes educational geography related content. I have successfully learned all 197 countries and flags of the world. I also look at interesting maps to teach us more about different parts of the world and their culture. On this channel I also play Geoguessr.

The Bhutan thing is a map of all countries it has diplomatic relationships with (I think), and the reason there’s so little or them is because Bhutan is in the middle of literal nowhere

2:49 the french one is called "Gojira" and they are incredible. Such deep and thought provoking lyrics about environmental issues and human nature, technical playing and magical atmosphere in many of their songs. The Swedish band is a power metal band Sabaton, and their music makes you feel proud of any foreign nations. Russian's band, Slaughter To Prevail, is actually now based in USA due to the political situation, and their music is kinda satire on stereotypes about Russia (probably the heaviest band on this map as well). Other bands which names I can read are Jinjer (Ukrainian progressive groove metalcore band woth a female vocalist), Nightwish (a finnish symphonic metal band fronted by a woman too) and Pentagram (on of the creators of Doom metal)

While the earliest maps were rudimentary diagrams drawn in caves in pre-historic times, the first proper manuscript maps appeared in the 12th century.
The map of the Holy Land printed in the “Rudimentum Novitiorum,” an encyclopedia of world history published in 1475, is considered the first modern printed map.
A sample of the Rudimentum Novitiorum was sold for £500,000 ($829,000) in 2013.
In World War 2 Stalin and Zhukov were pretty much using soldiers like fodder hence why so many casualties...

here’s a recipe for cookies
225 g of butter
150 g of sugar
150 g brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon baking soda
320 g wheat flour
350 g chocolate chips (see tip)
Approach
Beat room-temperature butter until fluffy together with white and brown sugar. Add the eggs while still beating. Then stir in vanilla essence and baking soda. Finally, mix in the wheat flour and chocolate chips (or coarsely chopped cooking chocolate, see tips). Refrigerate the dough for 30 min.
Form large balls of the dough (about 1 heaped tablespoon of dough for each cake). Put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper (max. 9 pieces on each sheet, because the cakes float out a little during baking). Press the cakes slightly flat with your hands.
Bake in the middle of the oven at 180°C for 12-15 minutes (the cakes should be slightly golden at the edges). Allow the cookies to cool on the plate for 10 minutes, so that they harden slightly before carefully moving them onto a wire rack with a spatula and cooling completely.
Store in a tightly sealed cake box.
Enjoy

@@TheSupremeDemon Ok, so it's just mindless spam I guess. At least it isn't a bible quote for once...
One criticism, everything is in grams which is great, except the teaspoons. Why not just list that as grams too? When I cook, I use a scale and pour out of the container for the required amount. It's very annoying when recipes use archaic, cryptic and outdated units and just don't stick to metric. Just write everything in grams.
Eggs is an understandable exception.
I love your videos inclduing your geography im also learning german!
Kudos to you both! I took German for about three weeks in high school before getting intimidated by the grammar and switching to French instead, figuring that since I'd already learned Spanish the grammar would be easy.
Jack should do the E45 roadtrip
1:31 basically in the UK only parents can hit their children and only as 'reasonable punishment'. Realistically if you regularly hit your child with enough force to hurt them any court will consider that unreasonable punishment so functionally it is banned.
@6:21 I'm pretty sure they've included Svalbard and Jan Mayen to Norway's area in this comparison, which add quite a bit of land. Otherwise Norway would most likely be compared to Oman with Finland and Poland.

Any way here is a brownie recipe
Ingredients
▢ 200g / 14 tbsp unsalted butter (1 3/4 US sticks)
▢ 200 g / 1 1/4 cups dark chocolate chips (7 oz) (Note 1)
▢ 1 cup (175g) brown sugar , loosely packed
▢ 3 eggs , lightly beaten
▢ 1 tsp vanilla extract
▢ 1/2 cup (75g) plain flour
▢ 1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder
▢ Pinch of salt
▢ 180g/6oz dark chocolate block/bar (optional) , chopped into chunks rather than shards, (bittersweet or semi-sweet, cooking chocolate) (Note 2)
ALTERNATIVE STIR IN
▢ 1.5 cups roughly chopped walnuts (or other nuts)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F (160°C fan forced).
Spray a 20cm/8" square tin with oil and line with baking/parchment paper with overhang (Note 2).
Place butter and chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl, microwave in 30 second bursts (takes me 1m 30 sec) until melted. Stir until smooth.
Add sugar and vanilla, mix, then add eggs and mix well until smooth and molten.
Add flour, cocoa and salt and stir until smooth. Stir in chopped chocolate, pour into pan.
Bake 24 minutes for really gooey in the centre, 28 minutes for fudgey but still very moist (my favourie, shown in video & photos), 32 minutes for moist fudge-cake-like. (See in post for toothpick testphotos).
If you didn't use the extra chocolate for stirring in, reduce cook time by 2 minutes.
Rest for 10 minutes before lifting out of the pan. Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting. Store in an airtight container for 4 days (bet they don't last that long!) or freeze for 3 months.
Recipe Notes:
1. Chocolate - Use cooking chocolate chips from the baking section of the supermarket, not eating chocolate.
Also use cooking chocolate bars for the add in chunks (though eating chocolate will work here too, just that not all types/brands will melt so you get a smooth molten ooze like you see in the video)
2. Lining pan - Have overhang so you can lift the brownies out of the tin.
3. Baking measures - Cups, tbsp and tsp measures differ slightly in size between countries. For most recipes on my blog, the difference is not enough to make a difference, or the difference is relative and consistent across all ingredients in a recipe. Where the difference DOES matter, I specify the measurements for different countries, like I do for my Chewy Oatmeal Raisin cookies. For this recipe, it DOES NOT matter so you can use cups or weights per the recipe, no matter which country you are in. The only exception is Japan, please use the weight measures, not cups.
4. Storage - airtight container for 4 days, refrigerate only if it's very hot. Or freeze for up to 3 months.
5. Nutrition per brownie, assuming 16 pieces, without extra chocolate stir through.
NUTRITION INFORMATION:
