How much for that 400 air breather 73 Ford did you cut the front end off. Four-door and towards the end. And with Blue parrot 2 barrel or four barrel? If that's not enough information and we'll just wait for you to find another one.
This man is definitely a hard worker. I was interested in a car i think earlier this year and he got me pictures of it faster then I thought. We didn't make a deal but I'm hoping in the future we can because I'd love to be able to check out his collection. Wishing you and your family and Happy New Year and hoping your dad is doing well and taking care of his self
Life is really taking a toll on him. Especially with his dad being hurt and he has to run the whole situation there. It'll get easier and just gonna have to take a deep breath and recharge his own batteries instead of having everybody thinking he's a grumpy, old guy and he's a young man. It will get better for you. Silas, it will. God bless and happy new year
Thanks Silas, I amazed at how many cool old cars and trucks you get and the ridiculous amount of scrap at the never ending farm cleanup! Keep on crushing!!
Back to the Farm Clean Up - Loving it and more Progress ! Crushing some Farm Equipment - nice one Silas ! A very Busy Video and very Interesting ! Many Cheers from Australia !
Love the video with all the different things. Maybe next time that you are trying to find something in your yard, use your drone and see from above. Probably only a couple minutes or so to find something that you are looking for.😅
Thank you for your beautiful video, Silas. And congratulations on your wife. I hope you had a nice day together. Just a few more days, and it will already be New Year. I would like to wish you a very happy new year, with all the best and health, and may all your wishes come true. 🎆🍀🍾
People must be smileing all the way to the Bank, with you paying them to clean up their Farms. But i enjoy watching you and seeing so much steel laying around.
It’s a very competitive market. If I don’t pay them 20 other guys will. Very little profit in scrap these days, which is why we go through tons of volume.
Looking at that farm clean-up I can't believe that they saved so much junk in those fields. Was the farmer originally planning to scrap a lot of that stuff down the road and never got to it? At least you got what you wanted out of it, Silas, and getting that land cleared is certainly a job and a half when you're doing it by yourself. Maybe you could hire an extra pair of hands to help out with those jobs that you feel are pulling you from the real important ones. Thanks for a great video. I especially enjoy, not just the crushing cars and junk, but also the exploring of the farm and seeing what's there. Take care of yourself, Silas.
Silas, if I could leave the state I would come and help out. I'm a bored old man that can do everything but climb. But I'm here in the state for a bit so it'll have to wait. We could work out the labor to your advantage I'm sure!😁😎👍
Happy Birthday to Mrs. Silas... as for the constant phone calls.. I operated a business alone for years.. thank God for Voicemail .. if I was busy I ignored the phone and called the serious ones back when I was able.. they are the only ones that will leave a message and a return number..
Happy B-day to your wife. ( realizing it could have been months ago ) Man I wish I was a lot closer I'd buy that 65 Impala take the parts I want and then sell it back to ya.
Other than the basic frame and rubber, they are mostly aluminum. About the same yield as a transmission or aluminum engine. If they have steel wheels or small engines I don’t put them in there.
Yes, I’ve seen that a few times. Pretty expensive but it can be done. I was referring to the actual ground tho. Once you remove the house it is almost impossible to ever have a house there again. People looking to buy 10-30 acre hobby farms are having to pay huge money these days due to scarcity.
Hello Silas. I have a question for you and that is do you still work at your yard in town. I ask because you have not posted any videos of you working there.
They do make Rollback trucks remote control. Also did u notice that trailer made from an old truck bed parked in front of that apartment U said u lived in as a boy? Do U plan to do a video one day about the salt mine near U?
My grandfather had that same Impala. He traded it in in 1977 for a Volare. Going from an unfettered V8 and a huge trunk to a smogged down V6 and a cramped trunk, he was not happy.
My father bought a metallic green 77 Volare wagon new, with 318 V8 I think. Though I guess it was available with the 225 slant 6 also, like we had in a 69 Dodge Dart.
@@EfficientRVer I guess it must have been a straight 6, then. All I remember was him demonstrating how while we were cruising on the highway he floored it and not much happened.
Oh boy you crushed a John Deere hydraulic cylinder on the grain drill LoL. . I can't believe no one would give you 300 up here in the northeast that was 800 bucks easy double disc openers the marker tires alone bring 300 if they hold air at local consignment auctions, crazy example of location location location to the value of a piece of equipment.
That red Suburban would have been neat if was in better condition. It was still something different to see getting crushed though along with all the odd stuff. Looks like the farm cleanup is going to roll into next year.
take the pipe and sucker rod to the consemt sale and sell for fence meteral . the bigger short pipe are post for the fence . i haul thousand od ton of it for that perpose alone
Sucker rod usually goes for half of scrap value at the auctions here, as does short pipe. Only full length sticks of straight pipe bring any real money.
I really enjoy crushing random items in the crusher! It's always a unique challenge instead of the same old thing.
Me too!
Does your loader have scales so you have an approximate idea how much you're loading

I get hundreds of emails and messages every week telling me how wrong I do everything, yet not one of them is doing what I do 😂
Just chill sialas got same with aging parents step back & breath then gi back at it cheers 🥂 😊
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch i hope you don't think I'm saying anything bad because you have a lot on your Is shoulders god bless happy new year

That Impala is a 1965 1965 was the last year of the three tail lights in 1966 was like one big tail light built into it
Correct. Then in 68 they went back to round tail lights.
For one year. Then they went to rectangular vertical tail lights. In 69. Also in 67 that kind of weird. @@I.Live4oldcars.prospecting
I'm amazed you haven't had any tire issues out there on the farm with as much stuff that's hidden in the grass !
I searched it thoroughly before starting and marked anything hazardous
The old adage of “time is money” is a ceaseless statement when it comes to scrap ing cars
Silas. You are a true hardcore working American. GOD Bless you.......
May be early but happy new year to you and the family
Happy Birthday to the the wife .
Yes happy birthday 😊
Thanks for saving some old cars and trucks even I know it cost you time and probably more time👍
Good one thanks 👍👍👍👍👍😊

That 66 Chevy would make a good parts car.
What a great weather at that farm, I'm jealous.
Has the railroad had anything to say about the new road arrangement?
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM NEW ZEALAND
You need a wireless controller for your winch. They're easy to install and would be a big help.
Back in the 70's, there was a mini rest area on eastbound K96 east of Mt. Hope.....on occasion, Smokey would set up portable scales......

I do when a job is done
Thumbs up great video, thanks for bringing us along, Happy New Years, an adventure at the end of December
Hello how's your dad doing prayers for him and have a happy new year
I see that you do a lot of work yourself. I would love to see you use a shredder. It would be great to see how you use it and what you shred.
YOU are DOING YOU.... Don't listen to people who have NOT Clue of what they are talking about - GREAT Content.

Its a win win situation
It’s a very competitive market. If I don’t pay them 20 other guys will. Very little profit in scrap these days, which is why we go through tons of volume.
Wonder if you can build some trailers out of those nice grey racks.

I'm so glad you are putting the motorcycles in your aluminum breakage

Good tail lights
Happy New Year Brother Silas. May God's Blessings be upon you in the coming year.
Some builder's have been moving the homesteads to a better locations
It is nice when they save them

Yes you work hard Peace out
That Napa box is cool
Happy B-Day to your wife, great day, BigAl California thanks
I'd sure like to see the shredder in action dealing with those big fabricated racks!
I’m sure the silver ones shredded like confetti. The black ones they probably tossed aside and sheared up
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch thanks.
Well hello there, surprise AMFS! I’ll take it!
65 impala has 3 tail lights on each side.
Me being someone that builds things and fabricates with metal all the time all of those racks should have lots of usable steel out of them
For sure. But I already save too much. I did save a few of each style of rack.
30:11 ,🐇 he made a run for it
Hey buddy
Wahoo a famous UA-camr
Congrats on getting to 130K Subscribers!

They do make wireless remotes for rollbacks and they are pretty reasonable

the first chevy you showed, is a 1965..
You got that right I had 4 1966

Have you thought about turning the wheels off implements in to barstools out scrap?
When you do a farm cleanup, do you get a fee plus the scrap value of what you haul?
No, we pay them for the scrap
Stepped in a Hershey kiss piles😂
pretty sure our local napa had that same box.
