Thanks for posting this Steve. I have the same unit coupled with the matching tuner/amp and a later cd-50 which belonged to my parents. The same belts have turned to mush on mine - all else is in working order. The only belts I can source online to suit the 330 are from Portugal. Can you recommend a local supplier or is this an eBay job? Cheers
Wagner Electronics can supply belts in Australia but you need to work out the length and convert to diameter which is what they sell them by. It should tell you how to work it out on their website.
@@StevesElectronicRepairShop Thanks Steve, Found Wagners and measured the belts using string. One size below that is perfect. For anyone not wanting to remeasure, the sizes are: flat belt 75x0.5x4mm and square is 1.4x54mm for this model. Cheers and thanks
Hey Steve. I like your vids very much. They are very helpful for me, as I repair old decks too. I hope you can help me with your expertise. I habe an Technics RS 671 and the auto stop isn‘t working. It is s combination of magnetic reader and an solenoid. The mechanic seems to be ok and the reader glass is not broken. Could it be the voltagesupply from counter, to reader to solenoid? Best regards from Germany Jens
I would check if the reed switch (the glass bit) actually works with a multimeter. It could be stuck or too far away from the magnet. There is a bit of circuitry involved in the auto stop including an override when its put in pause mode. There are a few capacitors in the circuit that could also be faulty. It would be a case of following the signal through that circuit to determine what is faulty. The service manual is on hifiengine.com

The belt supplier in Portugal is good; I got mine from there.

Thanks a lot Steve. I‘ll try that out.
Hi Steve. I think I found it. A NEC 1096 capacitor was faulty. Now I wait for exchange to arrive.
Best regards
