You make my daaaaaay!!!! Thank you so much! I try to be as helpful as I can. I still have a lot to learn, but if I can share whatever tidbits that I can I’m going to 🤓
I don’t have any wayne goss brushes but I have SEVERAL on my wish list. He is super inspiring and has taught me SO MUCH. I thank him forever for saving me from a horrible nose highlight and contour. Brilliant guy!!
I love Wayne's brushes, they're expensive, but I always get his holiday brush...just love them! My nephew is 3 months old and I take the brush from last yr, then I make sure it's clean and so so soft, then I lightly pass the brush I call the cat paw all over his face and head, and he just loves it, it's so cute!
The 27S also works really well for spot concealing. I love your videos in general, but your WG and Sonia G brush reviews in particular have been instrumental in helping me make purchase decisions in recent months - thank you!!!
I decided to pony up the money and bought his 8 and 19 brushes. They're totally a great investment though because I feel like they do my makeup for me. In like five seconds I've got color and a great looking blend on my eyes! I decided to also buy his 13 brush because I almost always wear mineral foundation. It's supposed to come in Monday and I'm super excited! I'd really like a video of you washing your brushes because I really want to protect this investment 😅
Excellent video. You taught me so much about brushes in general. Never knew the difference btwn natural and synthetic hairs. Do now. Also the tip on holding the brush handle lower down will help since even when I tap off I still feel I'm applying too much product. I have one Wayne Goss brush, the #3 and treat it like the Holy Grail...lol It would be so sweet if Wayne saw this video and mentioned you and sent you a full PR of his brushes! He should! You have a special talent for teaching. Thanks gf. As I said, excellent video ❤❤❤❤,
Such an informative video! Thank you for taking the time to put this together, believe it or not many years ago I had no idea where to start with makeup brushes. You content rocks! . Have a lovely weekend!!! 💕😊🤗
This was so incredibly useful & helpful for us eyeshadow/ WG newbies! Thank you so much! Everytime you say "Number fo!"I just crack up. You are fo sho, one of THE BEST! Watching your reviews & tutorials is always time well spent!
I saved this video to watch again when I’m at home!! My first Wayne Goss brush came in the Beautylish lucky bag and I just fell in love!! I purchased the eye set and the synthetics set. However, I think I’ve struggled the most with the eye set, as they all look so similar I don’t know best how to use them. You are sooo right about the synthetic fan brush for foundation!! AMAZING!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love that you did this video. I’m older so I’ve been using natural hair for most of my makeup wearing life (we used to actually use those sponge applicators), so I know how to use them. But there is a HUGE difference between natural & synthetic, especially with mattes & higher end shadows (PM, ND, or Viseart).
Aldo, I forgot to say THANK YOU!!!!!! This video was AWESOME!!! And thank you for telling everyone about only washing once a month and with a gentle brush cleaner. I have been seeing comments thru the years of people saying their Wayne brushes are destroyed after washing and so they think the brushes are not good quality.
I just bought the Sonia g. brushes because of you. Now I am going to get Wayne Goss’ eye set when they’re available on beautylish! Thanks for the very informative video as always! 💛
I just bought my first Wayne Goss brushes and I came straight here for your video. I love your enthusiasm and will have to remember next time to use your link. I got the newest eye set and can’t wait to get those. You made me purchase the Sonia G eye sets. Both of them. You and Mel Thompson 🤣. I love your videos because of your love of the brushes and the enthusiasm you show when talking about them.
Awesome video, Alicia! This was sooooo helpful for those of us that are stepping up their brush game. Why spend a fortune on an eyeshadow palette, etc., and not use THE best brushes available, to really show off that product AND perfect your application technique!? Right? This video is priceless in that regard. Great job breaking it all down, so that anyone can implement not only those expensive, yet, very, very special brushes, BUT also, technique(s)! You know your stuff! Thank you!💖
Thank you, Jeanne!! I love to learn as well, and to help others better understand the tools that they have is important to me. Thank you for the kind words! Sonia is next 😉
You are so welcome! You deserve ALL the praise! And, YES! I just bought the Sonia G Pro Eye Set, and would love to watch an in depth tutorial on the uses of them as well. Although I watch you use both the Sonia G and the Wayne Goss brushes often; a video, such as this one, for the Sonia G line is much welcomed! Thanks again, and I'll be eagerly awaiting that Sonia G demonstration!
Thank you again for such an informative video. I do not own any Wayne Goss brushes. I do own the Sonia G Eye Pro set, thanks to you. 😘. So I would love a video for Sonia G. Thanks!!
I have been using his #1 foundation brush with the cream blush in the ND Bloom palette........perfection!!!! And if anyone has his Airbrush, OMG it works so perfect for powder under the eyes AND highlight🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 And I def said Number FO with you...😁😁😁😁 Edit: I reaalllllyyy need to stop commenting like I'm having a conversation and wait til the end to say anything cuz you just mentioned everything I did for the Airbrush. Oops!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video ! Thanks lovely. I dint own any Wayne Goss brushes but if I did I'd be super happy !! This video is very informative and I love that you praise good British make up artists, the UK 🇬🇧 thanks you (yep I'm UK!) xXx
Hi Alicia. It's me again and I'm from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Your techniques amaze me. I crave for the Wayne Goss brushes except it is on the more expensive side but the problem is with the shipping and customs. Btw you rock girl.
HEY FRIENDS! If you happen to have the single versions of what’s in the Anniversary II Set, then I’ll edit a conversion list in this comment as I receive your info 🙌🏽 And working on links because they’re being dumb-
I am so glad you did this. Still on fence which brush I want to get some for my tiny hooded eyes. Love all your videos. How you explain and show goodies
Ok. Firstly, awesome video. Secondly, I believe it makes sense that people buy high-end brushes without actually knowing how to use them. It seems weird because people tend to caution those who are new to buy cheaper first so that they can find out what works for them. That way, they can invest they're money wisely down the line (solid advice). However, when you're new you tend to feel like you need to compensate for your lack of skill. So it's tempting to buy things that are touted to make application easier. I definitely did the same thing with eyeshadow. One of my first palettes was viseart because everyone kept saying that they blend themselves. In my mind, I was like, "I don't know what I'm doing so I totally need shadows the do the work for me". And honestly, it was really helpful. Using those helped me to see what good blending should look like. Also, when I finally did come across shadows that didn't blend well, I knew for sure that it was the eyeshadow and not me just being bad at making up. Going in blind on high-end products is definitely a risk though and not something that I'd recommend, but I get why people do it.
What a great point, Marlana! This is true, and something to consider for myself when filming. Understanding a different a perspective on the matter helps me relay the info more effectively as well. So I thank you for providing this insight. And this motivates me more to film more how to’s because you just can never assume. Sonia is next 💕🤗
This was very helpful. I’ve been struggling with how to use WG brushes. I own the air brush, #’s 2, 11, and 24S for face. I am starting to purchase eye brushes and currently have #’s 6 and 17. I have the number 4 and a pencil brush on my wish list. Please do a video like this for Sonia G. I am starting to look at those and considering purchasing. Thank you for creating such wonderful content on YT. Love your personality which makes your videos informative and entertaining
I have 2 Wayne Goss brushes. # 4 and 16. I appreciate all the tips and tricks Alicia! 😎😂😍😊🤓 so informative. I look at them and just stare. 🤤😜😍 LoL. Now I got to put them to work. 😊
I have a small face with hooded lids so I just kind of go down a brush for all this advice. I definitely use the largest brush in the eye set for highlighter. It's such a nice brush for that.
I so needed this video. I have many random brushes, but it seems I don't have a good brush set. I am looking to up my game in brushes. I am on the hunt.
Too beautiful as usual. Great video, but someone needs to come to NY to smack you for that flawless finish! Jealous. As someone trying to put together a list of brushes from all the luxe brands, this was very helpful. Do you prefer Wayne Goss over Hakuhodo or Sonya G? Or do you have favorites for specific applications? Or maybe you’re crazy for them all Lol
Hahahahaha! I’m definitely head over heels for all my brushes but I definitely love hem for certain tasks! I will make a hoe to Sonia video as well as a Hakuhodo brush one. And then I have to make a top pick luxury brush favorite vid 😨
Thank you so much. I'm one of those people that had the brushes but don't know how to use them. I really just got into makeup in the past year and bought them because they were so highly recommended by people like Mel Thompson. But I'm still sort of figuring out what's best for what.
My eyes are very smal and hoodedl, so I like that his brushes are fine tipped and pointed compared to the morphe ones I have. They're also much softer. It's mostly been trial and error to see what works best.
Thank you for this video! I've been trying to search for good brushes. I just own a good amount of Morphe and BH cosmetics brushes. Maybe you can do best inexpensive brushes?
Well this was a nice video to wake up to!! I bought some milk make up setting powder in medium Alicia, based on a recommendation, it’s being shipped and I’m looking forward to trying it! I also got some of the drunk elephant retinol too! As a 38 year I’m trying to get serious about my skin care.
This video was so helpful! Thanks! I recently purchased WG Air brush and I didn’t know how to use it... I tried it with cream highlighter/ blush and It really doesn’t work good with it. Now I’ll use it like you recommended it! 😌
I don’t think I have ever loved a face brush more than I love last years holiday brush!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it is the PERFECT blush brush I was using the 24S for blush and highlight but once I received the holiday brush...🙅🏽♀️ I should have ordered back ups😩
Thank you so much!!! I bought 7 of his brushes & they are still in my sigma brush book! Lol I haven't used them yet one cause they're expensive & 2 I feel like a dummy like all my blending knowledge left my brain & I don't know what I'm doing! 😄 same with my Sonia G brushes!!! She posted on her website how to clean & care for them today!! 🙌 I wish I would have known she suggested to clean them before first use... I used them 1 time for a easy light shadow look oh well ill wash them Thursday! Again thank you for this video! 😘✨🙏
Awesome video! I love my WG brushes and thinking about adding some Sonia G on your recommendation. Just curious, what do you think of Smith brushes? Do you find them comparable to WG/SG? I picked up a couple this weekend and am interested in your thoughts.
I like some of Smith’s designs like their arrowhead shader brushes. Their blender brushes feel like straw compared to Sonia and Wayne’s. I don’t know if it’s the ones I ordered, but after a wash they look electrocuted 💀 The bristles I feel don’t glide on the skin as gracefully as S + W. Smith face brushes as well feel stabby to me. And it’s disappointing because I love the shapes of some of their face brushes, but don’t like how they feel. I know they released newer designs, and maybe those feel better.
I have his Anniversary Set but it’s the Blue Squirrel, would I use those brushes the same way? I also have 2 of his Airbrushes, black and his rose gold, his new Holiday brush too. You are fantastic on explaining how to use these brushes, now we need the Sonia G video got her eye set, I bought it because of your recommendation.😘
Great video! Very informative! I just bought the Sonia G. eye brush set and the face set is still out of stock. So I was gonna try Wayne Goss brushes. I still don’t know which set to buy! Suggestions? Anniversary or the synthetic set? Thanks!
Hi! You have a new sub! I've been watching some of your videos, and girl you know your shizzz! So glad I found you! You are talented and you know your brushes, I'm excited for more tutorials!
I have a video solely dedicated to the Holiday 2018 brush! I didn’t include because I thought it would be mean 🙈 ua-cam.com/video/Q2Dhs0snudU/v-deo.html
Alicia💖, Haha!! I loved the bloopers at the end!!😂😂😂😂. PLEASE keep these going in your videos!!:) This video was AWESOME!! I was on Beautylish this a.m. and I was thinking about purchasing Wayne's brushes:). Most of my brushes are either Morphe, Luxie or Crown. I did received my REPHR brush today and I cannot wait to try that puppy out!! Lol Thank you for sharing your AMAZING brush knowledge with all of us:). I look forward to your next video😙💖😙.
#aliciamademebuyit ugh... i was trying to hold out on purchasing the anniversary sale and was just admiring from afar. Then my daughter (she’s 4 years old) and i found your channel and started binge watching your videos. I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching you and how you share information. You’re correct in that your instruction is different than others. I can tell you’re a teacher. Thank you for taking the time to share your love and information of makeup. Xoxo, muah! pearl
Alicia inspired me to get a Wayne Goss brush😍. I had a love affair immediately with it. I cleaned it first and then I just stroked it on my face for a half hour🤣❤😱
Hi Alicia, your videos have been so helpful as i'm thinking of purchasing some Sonia G or Wayne Goss brushes. I have hooded lids, not too much real estate on my eyelids and am debating between the Wayne Goss eye set vs the Sonia G Sky eye set - which would you recommend? This will be my first luxury brush purchase and I would appreciate the advice! Looking to pair it with the Sonia G pro face set!
I prefer Sonia’s Eye Set over Wayne’s because it offers more shapes. I love them both, but I’ve been using a lot of Sonia’s face brushes because I have more of them. Wayne paved the way for my blending. Ever since I picked up the #3, it was all uphill from there!
I need to know? Which brush set is your favorite. I do want to perchance one of these brush set. Sooooo is it Sonia G, Hakuhodo, or Wayne Goss. I know it's a burdensome question.😉
Hahahaha! Not burdensome at all 🤗 It all comes down to which shape best suits your makeup application style. I think Sonia’s Set is more comprehensive in terms of shapes. I love Hakuhodo’s pointier design, which I think is crucial for small hooded eyes.
Wait!.... What about the 2018 holiday brush!?!?! Did you leave it out cuz its a limited edition brush?..... On a side note Im really hoping to pick it up when it comes back in stock 😬 Ive been on the notification list since it sold out the first time but I must have been way down on the list cuz when it come back in stock I was not notified lol. It must have a HUGE waiting list!! Way to go wayne hey!
Lol you need to give a girl a notice, omg LMAO on the out takes🤣🤣 but I did learned about squirrel hair, I have one and I didn't know what to do with it, love the fact I can use it for highlighter ( don't like a lot of highlights, have oily skin) but I do like alittle.
It’s fun to research about it! Because it definitely gives me a better understanding of what to use with what medium in order to yield the best results for what I need.
The link you included is not Taking you to the beautylish website, they are directing you to the google browser... and in the beauthylish site the eye set are not available 😥
Ok so I'm in the middle of watching and before I forget A) there is no brush #13 right? You mean 16 when you say 13? And B) I wish you could have shown the blending in slow motion also because although I'm learning some stuff my brush is still not dancing around fast like yours does 😔 but maybe I'll get it by the end of the video 🙏
13 exists in an un-dyed design. And I feel watching in real time is helpful, because ultimately you wouldn’t apply eyeshadow that slow. It’s definitely about practice, and developing the muscle memory to know what feels right without thinking about it.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I've been saving to get a couple a Wayne's brushes and this was so helpful to decide. I'm trying to use your affiliate link, but it's only taking me to my browser landing page. It could be that I'm in UK and maybe it won't let me here :'( Anyways, just thought I'd let you know in case I'm not the only one. Thanks again for this and I look forward to your next video :)
I don’t know what’s going on with the links, but unfortunately was only able to capture Beautylish’s homepage. When I captured individual links, it led to a random google page 🤦🏽♀️
@@aliciaarcher don't worry, I'm sure it will work eventually. I just wanted you to get your will deserved coin. After all, your reviews are what helped me make up my mind :)
I love them both, but love my Wayne #16. I would get that single brush, and a Sonia set. Because I love her Pro Eye set, but need a fluffier blender then her blender pro. But that’s just my preference.
Thank you for this- save your $ a little- new Sephora sale coming soon - Now I gotta see if you teach me how to actually use the brush to blend my eye shadow and stuff and this video and I'll get back to you
I went over to your website and looked at your portfolio photographs. Hot Sugar, you are gorgeous! Knowing your drive, I will not be surprised if we see an athletic clothing line from you.
THIS IS WHY YOU'RE THEEEEEE BEST TEACHER ON UA-cam!! Ahhhhh 😍 just what I needed! You broke this down like I was in preschool!🤣
You make my daaaaaay!!!! Thank you so much! I try to be as helpful as I can. I still have a lot to learn, but if I can share whatever tidbits that I can I’m going to 🤓

Oh yes! Now is the time more than evah! Do keep me updated on the mill makeup powder: I would love to know your thoughts!
Wow! I learned so much from this video! I just subscribed a few days ago and I’m binge watching your old videos 😜 Thanks so so much, Alicia 😘
This video was so helpful! Thanks!
I recently purchased WG Air brush and I didn’t know how to use it... I tried it with cream highlighter/ blush and It really doesn’t work good with it. Now I’ll use it like you recommended it! 😌
Great tutorial! ThankYou! Learned some new application tips. 💖
Hooray! Thank you for watching!
This was really helpful, the advice is great regardless of brand of brush. Thank you very much!
This is tremendously helpful- thanks!!!
Very informative. Thank you
Thank you for watching, Vivian!
Thank you for these brush video's. I really appreciate them and they help me with my dicisionmaking (is that a word??😱) what brushes to buy
I love the blooper part. 😍😍😍😍😂
Hehehehe thank you! I have so many of them that I thought it would be a good idea to finally share them 😹
yeeeeeeeeeeeees please share them 😍😍😍❤❤@@aliciaarcher
Great video! Very informative! I just bought the Sonia G. eye brush set and the face set is still out of stock. So I was gonna try Wayne Goss brushes. I still don’t know which set to buy! Suggestions? Anniversary or the synthetic set? Thanks!
Hi! You have a new sub! I've been watching some of your videos, and girl you know your shizzz! So glad I found you! You are talented and you know your brushes, I'm excited for more tutorials!
Love the Bloopers❤❤❤
🙈 Thank you, Lisa!
Amazing video! Thank you!
Thank you, Becky!!!
I loooooove my WG brushes!
That said, I still have no idea what I want to do with the most recent holiday brush. Need to find a task for it! X
I have a video solely dedicated to the Holiday 2018 brush! I didn’t include because I thought it would be mean 🙈

I love your videos, they’re very informative. #bellsquad
Whoop whoop! Thank you for watching!
Alicia💖,
Haha!! I loved the bloopers at the end!!😂😂😂😂. PLEASE keep these going in your videos!!:)
This video was AWESOME!! I was on Beautylish this a.m. and I was thinking about purchasing Wayne's brushes:). Most of my brushes are either Morphe, Luxie or Crown. I did received my REPHR brush today and I cannot wait to try that puppy out!! Lol
Thank you for sharing your AMAZING brush knowledge with all of us:). I look forward to your next video😙💖😙.
Awesome! I’m setting up my wish list. 👍😁
YUS!!! Thank you for watching!!!
Xoxo, muah! pearl
You are gonna have to stop enticing me with these brushes.... 😩😩😩😍😍😍♥😂😁
I know, right!
I’m sooooweeeeee! If I were to recommend ONE: the #16 hands down. If you’re obsessed with eye makeup!
Great video!!
Thank you, Malini! My friend here in NYC is named Malini as well 💕💕💕
Thank you so much I needed this lesson today.
Have you tried any Scott Barnes brushes? I keep hearing about them.
I haven’t: I have a few that someone recommended that I look into. I’m not in a rush because the collection right now is good 🙈
Sis I’m in love with your channel been a friend for sometime. Your so bomb 💣 love your content.💕💕💕💕
Amazing review !! Thanks 😊 💋
Wayne Goss numba fouh!! 🥰🤣
Do you equally like Sonia G and Wayne Goss brushes or is there one you prefer over the other?
Can you use the #8 for nose contour ( I use the Juvia stick foundation to contour as well).
I didn’t include it because I thought it would be mean to do so 🙈 I have a video solely dedicated to the holiday 2018 if you want to take a look!
no.13 is tea dyed goat, that is why it can be used for wet products.
Love this video thank you so much
Awwww yeah! You know I'm gonna have to buy the brushes now, right? 😂
🙈🙈💸💸💸
@@aliciaarcher Haha! In one hand, out the other.
I love you, and your reviews.... subbed ❤️🤗
But the Anni Two is! I don’t have the eye set, anyway 🙈
Thank you for letting me know: I included a link that will at least get you to the homepage. I don’t know why the individual links don’t work 😩
Ok so I'm in the middle of watching and before I forget A) there is no brush #13 right? You mean 16 when you say 13? And B) I wish you could have shown the blending in slow motion also because although I'm learning some stuff my brush is still not dancing around fast like yours does 😔 but maybe I'll get it by the end of the video 🙏
13 exists in an un-dyed design. And I feel watching in real time is helpful, because ultimately you wouldn’t apply eyeshadow that slow. It’s definitely about practice, and developing the muscle memory to know what feels right without thinking about it.
You are awesome this is off topic but can you recommend a foundation for me I'm 44 and have some texture on my cheeks❤❤❤ thank you
I would recommend the Tom Ford foundation stick (it’s expensive) or use the Dior Forever Correct as foundation!
Can shampoo be used to clean a Wayne Goss ?
Wayne Goss Brush sets Sold!
Thank you so much for this video!!! I've been saving to get a couple a Wayne's brushes and this was so helpful to decide.
I'm trying to use your affiliate link, but it's only taking me to my browser landing page. It could be that I'm in UK and maybe it won't let me here :'(
Anyways, just thought I'd let you know in case I'm not the only one.
Thank you, Mariana! Much appreciated 🤗
I am savinf to buy a brush set, which one is your favorite? Wayne Goss or Sonia G ?
I love them both, but love my Wayne #16. I would get that single brush, and a Sonia set. Because I love her Pro Eye set, but need a fluffier blender then her blender pro. But that’s just my preference.
Thank you for this- save your $ a little- new Sephora sale coming soon - Now I gotta see if you teach me how to actually use the brush to blend my eye shadow and stuff and this video and I'll get back to you
It’s all about practice!
"Shop your life away" 🤣🤣🤣
And on and on and on!!! 🤣🤣🤣💸
I went over to your website and looked at your portfolio photographs. Hot Sugar, you are gorgeous! Knowing your drive, I will not be surprised if we see an athletic clothing line from you.
