We share feelings and react to each other based on that. So, if youre anxious or angry, sad, frustrated etc..they will feel it. And "IF" and When they misbehave ..it can often be because theyre feeling something (from you??) and if we dont like their behaviour and then we react negatively to them..it breaks trust, they dont know what to do with their feelings. @@mssavedin92 yes, it all starts with ourselves. The Trust Technique is actually simple and uncomplicated. People tremendously enjoy spending time like this with their animals. How beautiful that you have found a deeper connection with your cats. ❤
Hi Joel, The Trust Technique is a method of reducing an animal's thinking levels to promote trust, connection, confidence and communication. Another way of saying "thinking levels" is "states of mind". Applying The Trust Technique facilitates a process of letting go so that anxiety, fear, over-excitement, frustration and any other form of overthinking can reduce and dissipate. It's like taking off the overthinking glasses (how the animal perceives the world) and replacing them with calm and peaceful glasses. Behaviour cued by overthinking is different from behaviour cued by calmness. You can learn how to use it with your own animals with this extensive on-line video course: trust-technique.com/product/trust-technique-lifetime/tt/66/?campaign=VideoCourse As a jump start, you can book a consultation with a practitioner such as myself where you learn the basic method and also receive guidance on how to use it to solve specific problems. A consultation can be done in person or via video call. Please get in touch if you'd like any further information or book a session with me - mia@thedependablecompanion.com.au
