Short story. My son Nick was 22 and never moved out like his 4 other siblings. He as my best friend. Of course we would get into it once in a blue moon and he would come out with two boxing gloves and ask me if I wanted the left or right glove. We would hash it out for a minute then end up laughing together. Don't go to bed angry he told me. Nick committed suicide on Christmas eve 2021. He was transgender. He was my best friend. I wish he was here to hear this song. I miss him. I love this band. Stay strong my friends and much love. I'm in your corner.

A true return to form. I've appreciated the growth of the previous albums, but this style has always hit just right. Cozy.
when i was in rehab and i started getting sober i started hitting myself all the time to where i was black and blue. it was something i did in childhood and stopped doing once i started getting high.
the program was getting ready to kick me out because i was 23 and couldn't stop hurting myself- thats when I began utilizing this punching bag they had there. Everytime I got the urge to hit myself I would hit the bag until I couldn't breathe- staff said it was quite intimidating.
Through the gift of this punching bag I was able to transition away from causing harm to myself and feel better and feel relief. I no longer have a punching bag but I will never forget what an important item it was to me in such a difficult time.

that’s what the point of the punching bag is.
I've been struggling lately and I struggle with disassociating. I admire everyone that can keep a conversation without staring overthinking and staring off into the distance. This video reminds me of my struggles and how to continue on. Sometimes you make mistakes and get angry or down about it but it is up to us to make that choice to continue on.
