- This video I am milling 2 X 6s and showing some modifications we did on the log lifters, as well as some of my swarm traps that had honey bees in them.

Yesss! I loved watching that log roll effortlessly onto the mill. Thanks for the excellent description of the wood block insert... exactly how I had it in mind. I'll pass that on to Norwood.
As for the stripped bolt, I had exactly the same problem. I tapped the threads on the bracket up a size (from 3/8" to 7/16") and used a grade 5 bolt. I ground down the sides of the head of the bolt so that I could use a 9/16 socket wrench to turn it.
Stay safe & well, and keep the videos coming!
nice job
Good video just wondering how your deck fit together I have the same mill and some of the forming on the steel was not the same shape. Bees are quite the critters mine have swarmed a couple times not much fun climbing 60 foot hemlocks to get them back!
Hey Adam, are you talking about the log bunks or the frame with the tracks. We didn't notice a problem putting them but not fully sure of the forming on the steel that you are mentioning. Wow, 60 foot climb. Hope they are getting you some great honey with that effort!
Thanks much Adam, can you expand a little about the deck? I assume your talking about the beds?
Yes the galvanized frame doesn’t have the same curl on the top where the pieces join together
Hello! I don't want to comment on your video, but on the design of the mill. Am I the only one who doesn't find the location of the loglifter (or the logstops) right/nice/practical. IF the loglifter has to be on that side, why couldn't the logstops be on the other side? Loading over the stops could create a hazard, especially when it's cold and icy.
I guess that one can use the logdogs for insurance though it would just not feel right...
The instruction Manuel was not put together right which brought us to the problem you are seeing. There is a way to fix it, but I would have to dismantle it and reverse the log bunks and redo the hydraulics. I will do that in the future, but don't have the time or the energy to deal with it right now. I have done a few videos explaining this, but they are lost in the archives somewhere. It is a little frustrating and if I am going to continue to do videos I may need to address this sooner than later. Thanks for the heads up.
