Lol rack extensions are dope. The VSTs blow the racks out of the water but Reason doesn’t support anything. 😖
i got riffer 3 but when i am ready to go , instruments set up , midi keyboard ( set up and working) how does it play , where is the play button ?
will this randomize a midi file to something new if i drop one in using this software?

Great stream, what DAW R U using? Looks a bit like Live. I been using Riffer since it was released, this is the best version by far. Even if it was really cool before.

Yeah if you want to program chords in it sure. It’s not a chord progression plugin though. It generates Riffs, so any chords would be manually input by you. 🙂

Riffer all day. Melody Sauce is no where near Riffer.

Scaler is good for melodies but it’s specific to the performance parameters. I find that I only like a few of the options available. I think scaler is more useful as a chord plugin. Riffer is a melodic riff plugin. So that’s up to you my friend! 🙂

It doesn’t work in Reason. Reason doesn’t support midi plugins.

@@KickbackCouture I've tried to stay loyal to Reason, been a user since version 5,, I feel like with every version they missed something. I always end up looking at other DAW's like man I sure wish reason did this....
Lol agreed. I’ve been using Live for 3 years. I still do Reason tutorials because people wouldn’t watch any of my other videos. Changing soon though. 🤟🏾
It's basically an arp unless you alter it with some humanization.
Kinda just sounds like when I just randomly click and move midi notes in the piano roll takes a cupple seconds, I dont need a generator to do it.
This plugin is to MIDI what Serato Sample is to sampling

Damn, that's a bummer, wouldn't this be similar though to the PolyStep Sequencer in Players that comes with Reason?
@@NoeticJ No, I think it's probably more similar to Pattern Mutator or Quad Note Generator.
All you gotta do is use big cat and riffer will work and it's dope I use the Harrison Mixbus mixer on my vocals in reason I plan on doing some videos

The thing that sucks about melody generators is that they don't generate Symmetry and the best melodies look like symmetrical shapes in midi data form.
