those sportsters from 90-04 are basically unkillable, it just needs some clean reassembly if it has an oil leak like most other sportsters.
she sounds healthy, just to be safe i recommend resetting the carb and adjusting it to run healthy and then change the ignition timing as the timing sounds a little too far apart.
Thanks for the advice. I don’t know a lot about these things but I will try and do some videos on the tuning. I thought about pulling that car off also and just going through it.🇺🇸👍🏻
Very clean i had a 2003 that started leaking at 50k miles.
Yeah, I heard there’s certain spots that they like to leak. You just have to keep your eye out for them and if you’re handy with a wrench they’re pretty fixable.🛠️
i have a 1200S , love it ,no ordinary XL though , ive had a few standard sportsters , has adjustable front forks , double front discs , 4 plug heads , 10-1 compression ratio , high lift cams , single fire ignition , high rev range CDI , adjustable rear gas shocks etc ..... not really a cruiser ....much better than that .....your mid range will suffer with those pipes though . amazingly clean bike !!! hope you enjoy it 😀
Thanks my friend that bike is in very good shape. I had my eye on it for about a year and finally my buddy decided to sell it and I happened to be there when he mentioned it I’ve got a disease.🤪 it’s called I wanna bike -itis😂

Hardest thing to do on a sportster is install the battery .

I installed a longer ground cable on mine . Made it much easier.
