Where do you live? B/c to find something lower than that is impossible in Cali or Las Vegas, let alone in a decent neighborhood like that.
Try Boston it now costs you $2500 for a one bedroom, $3100 for a two bedroom. People still can't afford these prices in Vegas at even $1300 a month. As long as the population keeps increasing so will rents and home values in Vegas. My Aunt has been living in Vegas for 32 years (former New Englander). She tells us every time we call her just how expensive and overcrowded Nevada is getting. She lives in Henderson 25 minutes away from the Strip.

Honestly I've been here over 20 years I'm 30 now I've been on every side of Vegas. Housing in general is hard. The weeklys cost as much as a actual apartment, meaning the apartments the same price, let's say right now in 2023 is 1300 for I bedroom in a weekly. Matching that is still the " hood" plus water lighting etc.
Maybe it's time to relocate. it's a big world.😊

Smarter to stay with parents a bit longer, save EVERY penny, put 20% down on a house to avoid PMI, buy a house, move a friend in to a bedroom, and charge modest rent.

Sorry but I would never ever move back in with my parents or have a friend move in. For me I don’t mind using 3 paychecks a month for rent. It’s well worth it. I hope to buy a townhome in the next year or two though. I am not sure if I should buy the cheapest townhome I can find in cash and then save up for a few years and move into something brand new or put 20% down on a new townhome and finance it? My problem is that I tried getting pre approved for a mortgage but everyone is turning me down since I have no credit history. I do have a quarter of a million saved up between my 401k and individual brokerage account though.

I get that you enjoy your privacy in your place, and I understand not wanting roommates, or moving back in with the parents…..I get it 100%. (I once caught a roommate chugging my orange juice out of the carton at the refrigerator, then filling what he drank back up with WATER!). However, when I was young, I just wanted a house ASAP, and a rental house ASAP, and when I got them, I wanted them PAID OFF WITH NO MORTGAGE ASAP, so I was willing to forgo privacy, comfort, for money, money, MONEY. It’s all a personal choice. Just keep doing what you’re doing!! …..and SAVE!

Most apartment complexes in texas have after school programs. One bedroom at almost a grand is not good at all. That’s hella expensive

A one bedroom is ridiculous ~ 12, dollars an hour minimum wage and their top paying jobs don’t pass 70,000 grand ~ it’s seriously a slap in the face to consumers.

Very pretty, modern, hip, brightly colored buildings. They have the same kind on "University Av." (formerly Swenson Av., but changing the name of the street instantly brings downthe crime rate i guess) Go take a look at those apartments and the neighborhood now.
