He said that when he woke up the next morning his energy was back, he was once more looking forward to the day. He lost in the semis of Barcelona and Madrid but spoke positively in pressers and when he got to Rome he was once more on top of his game and when he walked into the Roland Garros draw ceremony his aura was back - I swear I could see Victory shining from him - and he was once more the God of Clay. Obviousy, this video dates back to 2 years before Rafa went back to his top level but I just came upon this video and I love it. I had always believed Rafa would be back after 2015 and the beginning of 2016 because of his real willing to get to this goal and his passion for tennis. This video simply shows that the champions never die if they keep fighting for what matters to them. Congrats to Rafa, my favourite one but also to Novak and Roger who got back to business by winning big titles after tough periods.
There was a phase in my professional life when nothing was going my way. And everyday while coming back home, dejected, I would listen to this track at least once. Kept on telling and believing in myself. Kept on doing what I had to do to go where I wanted. And finally all the pieces feel right in the perfect slot.
