Just started watching. Some great work you and your team doing
Those soft wood sleepers will rot out in no time without protection
Yep, they don't even last that long out of the ground, much less saturated with damp soil for most of the year.
Most "landscapers" aren't tradesmen but lads out to earn a few quid. If you're lucky as I have been, you'll find a reliable gang who do proper job and v cheap because they admit that some jobs are beyond their scope rather than mess you about.
pressure treated timber or not will still rot away when earth is piled up against it, needs to be dug out with concrete posts and gravel boards not wood or job will not last and will need redoing again in a few years. Cowboy builders following previous cowboy job
Are you sure your not the cowboys 😂😂😂
How can you comment on cow boy landscapers when your own work is absolutely shocking! Softwood sleepers posted at 2.4m , and soil directly on to the sleeper and posts with no dmp to protect the sleepers or "supporting posts" from rott. Give it a year and that garden will collapse into the orginal fence! Then into the next property!
Great job.
Well done.
Surely it wood have been better to install gravel boards instead of the sleepers which will eventually rot !
Just saw a few of the comments ...... Hope You're prepared for the 'Looney-Tunes' that always get magnetised to fresh channels ... And then TOTALLY IGNORE them ... Good luck with your channel 🤠
Nice Job guys😀 As one of the comments below says, "Hope You're prepared for the 'Looney-Tunes' that always get magnetised to fresh channels ... And then TOTALLY IGNORE them."
Oh, and the other category, "The Advisers & Correctors" who will leave endless helpful tips for went you are "getting it wrong"
Still, you can always hide them from your channel and let them rant away to themselves!🤣🤣
Great work. Is there a reason not to put a liner/membrane in front of the sleepers?
You class that as a massive job??? What did you actually do apart from the fence?? Took a massive dump on the owners bank account!!
How much bloody cement have you laid them flags on mate. I'd get tortured at work if I used a 6 inch bed 😂
Do you not blackjack your sleepers below ground ??
RE people telling us that wood is untreated going on what it looks like ... I was suspicious that builders had used untreated timber on my fence cuz it was too pale for my liking, then I went to the timber merchants who said that treated timber isn't necessarily dark brown and "rough" building timber is NEVER sold untreated.
This is how mad the country is now - blind leading the blind.
and if they cant find hillside to build on they get flat land and make it into hillside to build on lol
Sleepers not the right answer here team. Other than that looks ok
Do this for a living pal!! Looks good but it really isn’t pal!
No slurry on the paving? Amatures
Do you not use the mone bros just behind ringways ford . Watch them build them house crazy land they building on around pudsey
We use both. The one in Bramhope had a new delivery of soil, so it wasn't slop 🤣.
Don't understand why so called "tradesman" feel the need to film themselves at work just to get a load of shite comments.
We're all learning all the time and everyone seems to be a professional these days especially when it comes to critiquing construction work.
Just get on with the job someone is paying you to do and stop trying to be famous.
Also the turfing you did will sink, the paving should have been sealed and the sleepers will rot within 5 years. 😂
