I'm a decorator. I lived in Brisbane Australia for 5 years and working outside in summer or wet season as it is was terrible. Always hot weather rain or dry couldn't work in full sun as it was to dangerous, paint drying to quick and drying patchy, soaked in sweat constantly so stinging eyes. Better in winter when it was about 20 degrees with no humidity.

I personally don't do it unless it's a driveway or steps. Due to the weight of the vehicle or the pressure people put on the over hang of the flag. Indian stone is a porous flag so water absorbs and grips the flag. I've had my patio down for 10 years and it's absolutely fine. We always use it on porcelain as it only absorbs 0.5% of water.

Can I just ask why you don't use an activator on the back of the Indian stone. I've just laid 30 square meters and used an activator to bond with the cement. All the best great job by the way

Whatever you do they will come loose and move,far too thin for purpose......lots of trouble to come in the next few years....when people finally realise they have paid a lot of money for a very poor job....they are way too thin to stay put....extremes of heat and cold
