I just 😍my No.1! I wanted one from the first time I saw one, but they were always out of my budget. I had an original M-77 in 30-06 since I was 16. One day probably 30yrs ago, I stopped in a local shop and the owner said "I got something for you!", went in the back room and came out with a No.1B in 30-06. Another pre-warning just like my M-77🤩. He gave me a "good-customer/friend'' price and it was mine.
@@pb68slab18 I had to do a lot of “catch and release “ get the ones I’ve had. Never had enough funds to just buy what I wanted. Years in the making. 😀
Love my No.1! Got mine in '88, in 25-06, which I never sent a round downrange with?!? I promptly took it to the gun smith and had ReChambered in .257 Wby. (if you go on Ruger's website, the 257 is one of only four listed in '24) Man, what a sweet shooter,,,, but also I am guessing a flame thrower and barrel burner, so, I don't shoot much, but, when I do, I fall in love again!
@@erikwilson7622 You have a great rifle in a great cartridge!!! ❤️
I know, I can’t believe you missed either! 😂😂😂
☹️
Awww, poor fella!
Nice video. I have a few of these but only one with open sights. I would be very interested in learning more about how you did the peep sight. Thanks for the video.
@@MarcosCaminante A gunsmith in Washington state did the peep sight. It’s been many years ago now. If I can find some paperwork on it I will share it with you. Thanks.
I wish they would make the #3 carbine again .
@@mausercal65 Yes. I think that is a great rifle. 👍
Is that an RJ Renner conversion?
@@fanbatcher Yes.
I love his work. I have three creations of his: a .357 Magnum Woodland stalker, 7.62x39 Ultra Light carbine and a No 3 American Saddle carbine in .327 Federal Magnum. All have tang mounted peep sights and custom Douglas barrels.
@@fanbatcher He does great work!
