Ray thanks for the insightful information on this process. Definitely helps to have an idea of how to navigate through similar situations. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!!!
Destination weddings are always fun. This one was super fun, but it was a stern reminder every time I go to visit that the corrupt stuff is always bound to happen. As mentioned in the video, I know how to deal with my people hahahaha. but yea you see this all the time. Something similar happened to us in Mexico too. - Alex I hope you enjoy your destination gig in 26'!
Thanks for sharing this story and tips. I wonder if this was a paid gig and you applied for a work visa, permit or whatever, would customs still attempt to get a bribe? On top of the legit visa and permit fees? I’ve heard similar stories where you can avoid paying a bribe if you’re patient, polite and act like you don’t know they’re seeking a bribe. Until the authorities just give up and let you go. Looks like it worked again in your case. My big takeaway from this isn’t to just Shoot with Ray but to Travel with Ray 😉
Heyyy Marcus, You could but the process alone would take forever and probably cause even more interrogations at port of entry to make sure you adhere to the permit. - We were very patient and polite. They gave up quick lol. Love the slogan! Travel with Ray, like the ring to that!
