I ain't going to lie I cried exactly how it supposed to be you got to admit when you f****** up you got to say sorry to your homie because you got mad at him when he was just trying to help because you was f****** up
im so happy for this show. the first episode alone immediately makes up for the tragedy this is cross 2012. like id always imagine what sampson would sound like. and this is definitely it
A friendship like that beyond friends a brotherhood it feels good to see that bond beyond men we don’t have that anymore . as a human being, we get mad at one another. We may even fight it out, but at the end of the day, we should be able to come back and apologize to make that bond even tighter. Young man now do not know how to express emotions they don’t express that with their hands they expressed that in lethal way. Taken away a time to apologize to another.
@buddatree my mistake i misunderstood hes playing the same character yes but not the same one form the movies. It's another retelling for the series that will have multiple seasons.
@buddatree well I dont really want to spoil it but yes his wife does die in the start of the show. He's a single father who is a detective and he has to nagivate life as a cop and a dad while hunting a serial killer and someone also hunting him.
Long story short his homeboy has been trying to help him through some emotional challenges and he said things purposely to hurt him during one of his low points. Shit got real and he went back to his homie the only person he could trust, to ask for help. This is that scene. It's a good series I definitely recommend it.
That is the 2012 movie version he played Alex Cross. This is a new adaptation that does not have his name on it. Both are based on the book series from the 90s. Hopefully that helps change your mind 😅.
I didn't know Alex Cross's best friend was Mr. "Old Spice" himself. He was great in this show.
He was hands down my favorite character in the whole show.
Wait what? That's The Old Spice dude? Holy shit. Loved him on the show.
They even make a joke of it. Cross says Sampson smells like oldspice and mothballs 😂😂😂
If his plot is anything like the books, you'll see how loyal he really is.
thats right
Brother this was the realist depiction of two black men reconciling differences I’ve ever seen on TV. Wonderful show!
You had me a MF too 😂😂😂😂
Aldis Hodge is too fucking underrated and needs more chances.
This got all us true brothas in the feels!!😅
What do Jack Reacher and Alex Cross have in common?
They are both badasses from novels done justice in tv shows
Praying for a friendship like this

Is this supposed to be the same Alex Cross that Tyler Perry played, whose wife was sniped in front of him?
Yes
@TheFlatbushRoundtable oh ok. Does he ever mention that in the show, is that even something that happened to him in the show?
@buddatree my mistake i misunderstood hes playing the same character yes but not the same one form the movies. It's another retelling for the series that will have multiple seasons.

@ in that case I’ll try it. I do not watch Tyler Perry films that man is a weirdo and a horrible writer.
