    Great line Andy. Took me a few minutes to put those first three notes into their own note value group, but man, that line is cool. I can't speak to your Patreon, but if a person has trouble learning without tab, and you have tab on Patreon, that would be money well spent. I have 4 of your lessons from Truefire and Jamplay and they are worth every penny and more. Thanks to both of you for sharing and putting your skills out here for us to enjoy. Now to get this one up to half of your tempo to start with.

      Hey Ben, the production on the album is great! Maybe you could do a quick video talking about how you put it together. what DAW, Plugins, samples (if any) bass recording techniques etc you used and where you had each instrument sit in the stereo field to get the mix. A slight departure from the traditional Uncle Ben material but I'm sure lots of viewers would be interested.

    Ben/Andy, can you demonstrate the section of "Back to Austin" that's from 2:34 to 2:58? That's my favorite part of the whole album, I think. It's very melodic. The solo just after that is out of my league. I don't have the chops for that. Thanks in advance.

    Question here
    Been practicing Andy's crosspicking and when I do it after a while it starts feeling smooth but I'll comeback the next day and it feels like all my practice from the previous day was completely erased. Have you (Uncle Ben or Andy) had this happen to you?
    It's really pissed me off.
    Do I just need to practice more?

    • @andywoodmusic
      @andywoodmusic 5 років тому +16

      Mr. Metalhorse that’s the battle. So you are off to a great start if you can get it smooth in a session, stay on it and it will get more and more consistent. To me it’s the most difficult right hand picking stuff, so just stay on it!

    • @MrMetalhorse
      @MrMetalhorse 5 років тому +6

      @@andywoodmusic Huge thanks for the reply man.
      I actually have noticed how I can get it to work in less time each day on my practice every so it's great to hear confirmation that what I'm doing is on the right path. You're a huge influence in my playing.
      Again thanks a lot and rock on 🤘

    • @7thString84
      @7thString84 5 років тому +2

      @@MrMetalhorse, that was a really good question. I play since 20 years and there are constantly things that seem not to "survive" till the next day. But yes, it's always getting there over time. Like Andy said already: consistency is the battle. And he is so damn right...
