Winner is a masterpiece of a group . They're known for being real artists in the industry.Also, they have one of the best rappers in K-pop as their Main Rapper (Mino) and one of the best Vocalists as their leader and Main Vocalist (Yoon). They are the main producers/writers of Winner's discography.Their main Dancer (Hoony) is an actual Rapper who writes and produces and their overwhelmingly beautiful visual (Jinu) is one amazing Vocalist . Their talents/skills/personality are just GodTier.I can't wait for you to get into more Winner and their solo stuff too . Thank you for your reaction

Soso is an underrated masterpiece. WINNER is so good. They're mature, experimental and not your average KPOP group. To me, they transcend the "idol" title. Solo stuff are just as good.

When I discovered about WINNER, and then got to know iKon, and their survival show, I kept thinking: no wonder they won the survival show. iKon was awesome, but during that show, Team A (Winner) was more ready to take on the world. With three strong song-writers/producers in their team, Winner was a winner.
I agree. I never once question why Winner won. They are just different. Their song writing skills were very strong in that show which shows their artistry. Tbh, the somgs i like more in winner are those that dont have MV. The depth of those songs, their honest emotions are soo good. Im kinda sad it doesnt get noticed, “For” is such a masterpiece.
I like their music, you can tell they got heavily inspired by BIGBANG, which is not a bad thing. Lol
WINNER = ART
They are branded as the "Uncrowned Kings", "Trust and Listen" and "Summer Kings". Winner might not be well known internationally but they are well respected and well supported by the public.
WINNER and Bigbang are the only two groups that I've seen that have girls in their video always, not just a back up dancer but a part of the MV.As per Winner, you can just count on your hand their MV that has no women in it. Women are already usual to their MV that the fandoms are surprised if there is none. Well, even their debut teaser, Mino are already having a french kiss with a woman. Lol.
Actually, the controversy in SOSO is not the naked part. It was actually seen as an art. The controversy surrounded that song was the chart manipulation. All Winner title tracks been always charting #1 in music charts, SoSo did not get that feat bcoz of the chart manipulation that were accused to happen that time. It was not proven tho. But it was believed to be happened.
Thankyou so much RJ for finally checking out Winner. I hope you will check their other songs esp. their summer songs ISLAND and LOVE ME LOVE ME. They also have some ballad songs in their discography like FOOL and COLOR RING. Actually, their discography is diversed so you can hear a lot of genre in them.
You're not wrong lol, Remember sounds like a disbandment song. It's not though, it was a temporary goodbye song before the older two went to the military, but fun fact, they're actually both back already. The younger two will probably take over the torch soon, they're that age, so probably they'll have one full group comeback soon and then the younger two will enlist. So your timing is once again on point lol.

Reminds me of On and On from SF9 for Youngbin and Inseong enlistment or their whole group song for Fantasy since the time they will be split will be really long for them because when Chani the youngest enlist Youngbin will be 40
@@behindzerosp Well they just held a concert, which is what they really wanted to do. If they want to do a full group comeback, they gotta get to it soon, and we know how slow YG can be lol. But I really hope they work it out!
@@behindzerosp That is really common tho. They're just gonna go staggered. The EXO approach. This is also what Pentagon are doing. It's kinda good when you have a big age range in your group, it means someone is always gonna be around while some others are enlisted. Also SF9 just renewed their contracts fairly recently, so I wouldn't worry about them too much.
Just to clarify about the “backlash” of SOSO, it was NOT about Hoony’s “naked scene”. It was more about the song not charting high in music charts compared to their other title tracks in SKOREA. It was a totally different vibe than what they released before aka their epic fun SUMMER BOPS and overall happy/good vibes. So the general public of SKOREA wasn’t too crazy for SOSO, BUT international fans absolutely LOVED this song and MV. There was also some sajaegi aka manipulation/shady stuff going on the music charts with certain artists that was mysteriously topping charts out of no where. So that also affected WINNER’s SOSO. It wasn’t because the MV or that scene LOL.. overall SKOREA thought that MV was ART and the message of the song was understood. They just weren’t ready for SERIOUS EMO WINNER cuz they were enjoying CARE FREE/GOOD VIBES WINNER. 😂
Also, believe it or not, “almost naked/naked” moments in MVs like this has been done before. Former and Iconic YG artist 2NE1 did the same thing in their MV “Missing You”. CL had a similar scene like Hoony. Both scenes symbolizing someone being vulnerable and feeling small. Hoony said he wanted to show that idols are human and just as vulnerable. They have sides to them that they want to keep private apart from their celebrity life. They have their struggles mentally as well and they’re not perfect. SOSO is a song of many meanings and interpretation and that’s what Yoon wanted when he composed the song. It can be about a different emotions or stages of behavior/emotions after a break up, but it can also be talking about mental health in general. A kind of struggle or emotional blockage that everyone can go through when they feel like they are stuck in life where they feel numb to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows..the feeling of SOSO..the in between. That was what WINNER wanted to convey through their song and MV.👍

SOSO is in all music chart top 10, except on melon #11
@@mercado4501 yes it made it to the music charts, but not at #1 or top 3 like they usually do or “as expected” from their title tracks. As I said, SKOREA wasn’t ready for SOSO cuz they preferred their upbeat catchy music. I know getting to #11 is still a high achievement as most other idol groups dream about charting even in top 100. But I’m just saying, compared to other WINNER title tracks SOSO didn’t hit #1. Regardless of their music chart placement, it is still an amazing song and beautiful/thought provoking MV. It’s one of my favorite WINNER title tracks.

Lol Winner members were kissing girls in their MV’s from very early on in their career they just built different! Even their debut album was sooo different for a debut of a male group, where it’s usually hype and all their debut album was pretty chill! Its still my favorite album since it came out! Please do check it out!
Fun facts:
- It’s not a WINNER MV without girls!!
- WINNER originally debuted as a 5 member group with the youngest member Taehyun leaving due to mental health issue in 2016. So that’s why Yoon ended up becoming the “MAKNAE” haha he was the second youngest and he is LEADER so “MAKNAE LEADER”. Which gives WINNER a different group dynamic. Yoon takes control as leader when it comes to work, but when they’re in the dorms he definitely is treated and teased like the maknae or little baby brother of the group. This shows a lot on variety shows.. the duality though when Yoon is LEADER and then when he’s MAKNAE. 😂
- Yoon is the main composer of WINNER, but Mino and Hoony has also contributed their amazing composing skills in WINNER’s albums. Mino has helped Yoon compose some title tracks and he actually composed “HOLD” and “REMEMBER” which was WINNER’s last comeback as WOT4 because the 2 eldest members had to enlist aka due their military services for 2 years. Hence REMEMBER being a “FAREWELL FOR NOW”.
- WINNER always experiments with their music and takes risks despite the mix reactions from their fans or listeners. They are true artists/musicians who always likes to improve and try different music genres. They always do something different every time and we don’t know what to expect from them. They always be clowning us too with their teasers. 😩
- THEY ARE CHAOTIC AND A MESS!! Their dynamics as a group is just on another level and they are not afraid to throw each other under the bus. But at the same times are the most wholesome and clingy brothers ever. They’re VARIETY SHOW GOLD! Each member has been casted on their own show at one point. Mino has gotten known by being in NEW JOURNEY TO THE WEST.
- WINNER has been through A LOT mentally and physically as a group and as individuals. They truly struggled and worked non stop to get where they are today. Yes YGE is one of the top entertainment companies, but it’s not easy to get in and actually be an artist in it. It is cut throat and hard because there is that expectation because they’re from YGE. People tend to think YGE artists don’t work hard or silver spoon fed for their accomplishments/successes.
- WINNER are honestly such genuine guys and are known to be one of the most polite/kind/good personality/manners group within the Korean Entertainment Industry.
- WINNER are the most playful and supportive juniors/sunbaes/hyungs to not only their Former and current YGE artists. But also have friends within the other idols/artists as well as comedians/hosts/actors/actresses. 👍
- 3/4 of the members are actors.
Yoon being the most active in web dramas and legit dramas especially last year! He just finished filming another drama called, TOMORROW it will be in Netflix. Mino will debut as an actor in the Netflix Korean movie SEOUL VIBE too.
- 3/4 of WINNER had solo debuts/comeback
Yoon, Mino, and Jinwoo. Hoony will have his solo debut this year (hopefully.. he said he’s working on it).
Yoon debuted as a solo artist in YGE in 2013 during WIN (the survival show) aka before WINNER debuted in 2014. He put his focus in WINNER music and put aside his solo music. He finally made a solo comeback last year with the song “IYAH”! 8 YEARS! He finally released his 1st full solo album called PAGE.
Mino debuted as a solo artist in 2018 despite doing collaborations/featuring. He did release solo songs within WINNER album or MOBB unit (BOBBY from IKON). Mino released 3 full solo albums XX, TAKE, and TO INFINITY.
Jinu debuted as a solo artist in 2019 with a single album with the song “Call Anytime”.
- Yoon is the only YGE artists who became KING on KING OF MASKED SINGER. He is also the youngest idol to become KING OF MASKED SINGER. Yoon is also tied for 3rd most overall wins on KING OF MASKED SINGERS (HE WON 6 TIMES!!!)
- Mino is an actually artist/painter, that is his hobby other than camping. Yoon’s hobby is photography and he’s amazing! Mino and Yoon’s painting/photography has been displayed in SAATCHI ART EXHIBIT IN LONDON and around Europe.

Btw you are right WINNER has the most girls in almost all of their MV and the fandom are so mature of it.
When I say SOSO is one of my anytime fav Kpop song man. The unexpected soft mellow beat drop is one of the main reasons. The lyrics also help and the one shot of the member naked just the vulnerability in that scene. The mv is just great
What's great about Winner is that they have done various genres including blues, ballad, hip-hop, trap and band music apart from their well-loved pop sound. All of their music being self-produced. They are great vocalists, amazing rappers and they have catchy choreography as well. Less popular they may be internationally but they are well- known and trusted in Korea due to their talents, great attitude and friendly personality.
I’ll also add that SoSo was released relatively soon after the Burning Sun scandal, so there was pretty much a witch hunt for anything YG related. It’s also why Treasure had their debut delayed, etc. It’s unfortunate because Winner is a pretty wholesome group and SoSo was a fantastic song. Inner Circles are one of the most chill Kpop fanbases out there, along with Melodies for BtoB, and LOVE for Nu’est.
This is what I thought also. It didnt peak coz YG had a very negative image at that year. CEO Yang also stepped down from his position. A lot of things happened in 2019. It’s unfortunate really.
Winner - FOOL is one of their most symbolic and artistic songs - its amazing and the vocals~
Winner and Akmu are really different compared to what you expect from YG - especially their artistry and the different types of songs they produce. They are hometown favorites and def has a special place in Kpop in Korea even if they might not be as well known internationally. If you like more meaningful and artsy songs I'd recommend... FOOL by Winner, IYAH by Kang Seung Yoon (PAGE - Solo Album from one of the Winner boys), AKMU - recommend with Melted, Re-Bye, Hey Kid, How Can I love The HEartbreak or even their performances with baby Yedam back in the day... also recommend BODY/FIANCE by Song Mino, check out Bobby's First Solo Album has the vibe that is up your alley especially Runaway, Tendae, Swim... Ex YG artists you might also like is Lee-Hi; a solo artist now part of AOMG - but her discography is fantastic and she has an amazing voice. (Leehi - has a featuring with Hyunsuk from Treasure as well)

As far as i know and as a YGSTAN, Winner's music are quite diffrent from the other YGA. Winner are known for their summer, peaceful and like spring vibe but with a swag
I've been into kpop for about 10 years now. From my experience, I can tell you that you are correct in thinking that you don't really see certain things in other kpop videos. It's rare. But, the more you explore YGE artists, you will see that it's pretty common in YGE artists. That's one of the reasons YGE is considered "rebellious" and "controversial".
Glad you looked into Winner. They are one of the most versatile artists in Kpop. Well-loved by the Korean public due to their no skip discography that's why they have earned the title "Trust and Listen". They are not the most popular internationally but they have no problem charting in South Korea.
Everyday is a MV that was produced by Dave Meyers, a well-known MV director of Western artists probably why it felt familiar. The backlash about SOSO was not because of Hoon's naked scene but due to the change in sound of Winner. They are known to produce bops with positive vibes like Millions. Remember was the title track of their final album before their Jinu and Hoon enlisted in the military. It's a temporary farewell song before the hiatus. Mino and Yoon meanwhile got to release their solos. However, they are finally back together! They are hinting for a comeback soon so you came just at the right time.

You should check out Kang Seung Yoon’s (Yoon) performance compilation in King of Masked Singer his talent will blow you away. He holds the record for the longest winning streak among any other idols and 3rd most wins in the shows history. One of the best singers in the industry.

They’re back now and started preparing for WINNER’s upcoming comeback which is coming really soon. WINNER themselves had spoiled us since last year saying they will be back in 2022. I've been in to this channel watching your Treasure reactions and even re-watching Tmap with you. But you had me when I saw this because Winner is my ultimate group. I've only known and fell in love with them on 2017 but since then, I fall for them more.They may not be as popular as other groups internationaly. But they are widely known to SK even individually.They have surpassed the idol status because they are already artists in their own. Winner is a self produced group.The Maknaes, Yoon & Mino are official members of KOMCA. Jinu, the one you always compliment as, "georgous" is the visual but has amazing crystal clear voice. Hoony, the one who's naked in SOSO , the main dancer, also writes and composes songs and even do some of their choreography. They are known as the "Trust and Listen" group, and "Summer Kings" in Korea. But their music is very diverse that they don't have a genre because Winner is a genre. They dont have bad songs. Even their b sides are worthy to be a title track. They have a lot of solo works and all those are masterpiece. Hope you will check more of Winner. You will enjoy their discography!.
I've been a kpop fan since 2009, and I only stan 3 boy groups BIGBANG, WINNER and TREASURE... WINNER members are so down to earth and super talented...and our fandom "Inner Circle" are the most behave fandom in Kpop, I can assure to that 😉.

I love winner. All their songs are great. They've their own colours and sounds in music. And the lyrics are amazing too. Winner is very clear with their style of music. Just like akmu. Like they have their own separate genre. You listen to it, and you can definitely tell that's them. Especially their dance songs. Me personally, love their sad, emotional, slower song. Remember is definitely one of my favourite. Still tearing up watching the mv. Love it 💙

Winner is the one that go against Ikon and won in “win: who is next?”. The rapper with piercing , is Mino which pronounce “My-No”. About girls in MV, you are right, there aren’t lots of group that use girls like western MV, But YG is different. For example,You would be surprised if you watch Mino MV “body”. They’ve been featuring women in their music videos since debut hahaha they even had kissing scenes during their debut era. Their discography is amazing since they produce their own music as well so their music is very true to who they are and who they want to be as artists :)
Yasssss...Winner!! Remember is a song they wrote for their fandom inner circle since the boys were going to start going into the military . Remembering the time with their fandom, having fans not forget them, and their promise to return after military service.
As a YG stan, i expected for a crazy beat drop too but for soso, the beat its hanging. But theres was a reactor who understand music, tell the SOSO meaning lyrically and visually. That's the first time i'm really amazed with WINNER music, especially SOSO. Their artistry super incredible and i guess only some people understand SOSO song. Each member representative the feeling of 'soso', and the beat drop too. I really like that and appreciate it. From WINNER music, i learn lots of artistry in music and the beauty of instrument and lyric meaning.
For Hoony naked part, when the time that song came out, i dont know about the controversy it make. The meaning of that scene, if u see when he rap and walking on the table that show that people can act tough on the outside but whatever it is, as a human we are fragile in the inside. Hoony in his rap said, time can heal and he can find another girl but he still sad on the inside.

I will no longer explain what these songs really wanted to express cause I believe that my fellow ICs already explained it in their previous comments. I just want to say that WINNER is that breath of fresh air in the Kpop industry. They are not bound by any genre or culture. They just go all out in expressing their music.

At last you reacted to Winner. Thank you so much. They are a unique group and all their songs are bop. No skip albums, they are composers, lyricist, arranger and producer as well. SOSO is so underrated, it is a masterpiece. There are a lot of kpop groups out there, but there's only WINNER. Pls react to Island, Love me Love me, Fool and Really Really too.
REMEMBER was a song they put out for fans before 2 of the members went to enlist (all men in SK before 30 have to). Also yes, WINNER has more women in their mvs (usually there’s none or only 1), they also have more choreos with female dancers. In YGE’s artists mvs you’ll see 1 or more women.
One of a kind, that's how I would describe this group. Like I really CANNOT think of any group to compare them to, theyre so classy and unique at every aspect

Soso is so underrated. One of the best MV released that year.
Winner was in between the 2nd and 3rd generation, I think. Fans of these generations are totally different compared to the present ones. I love your insights here. You're very articulate, I love how you express your ideas into words. These boys are more artists than the usual idols, for me. Their craft and direction were very different, hence, fit them well. YG really doesn't put a suit or color as to what they like the group should show, but, they let their artists show their OWN color, their OWN innate artist self. I donno, but, I know for sure, I am a YG Stan because of that (no matter what controversy came and will come lol). Winner came after the Bigbang and 2ne1 era. They're a whole lot different. They make their own songs, and put their ARTS to everything. SOSO is my favorite MV, it's very deep and very well made. The song evoked the very relatable emotion we always encounter, not only "break-ups" but it's all about that very dangerous feeling of a "SOSO."

With SOSO, the controversy is not about the naked scene (this actually received good reception from knetz), it's about the chart manipulation that happened which caused SOSO to just chart in Top 5 - Top 10.
It was very unexpected for a WINNER title track to chart lower than Top 5 that's why it made even Seungyoon sad.

P.S.: it's actually common for YG groups to have Boy/s or Girl/s as partner/s in the MVs i think it's one of the ways they separate their artists from the usual idol images or to make the fandom get used to it and not be obsessed with their love life or something like that

Yoon is the GOAT. He is a musician. He can almost do anything. Sing, dance, write, compose, produce, act, modeling.
Mino is undoubtedly very artistic person. For me now he is the best idol rapper. Very acknowledged by korean hiphop scene. Very known for his fashion. He also paint & do art.
Hoony very underrated dance in kpop. He is very good with his expression & conveying emotions in his dance.
Jinu is the member that always have a special place in every each fans heart. His visuals godly breathtaking. Could be mistaken as a vampire lol. He did some quite of musical theatre play. He is quite good in acting. One of the most innocent looking, personality idol I ever seen.

I hope you can also react to some of their older songs. They are very well known as king of summer songs, but I really love their “darker” songs too, especially their debut songs, Empty and Color Ring. For me personally, they are one of the groups with a very good debut song. I really love Seungyoon’s voice, he’s definitely one of the best vocalists in kpop. He also won king of masked singer for 5-6 episodes (if I’m not mistaken), and his vocal performance are just super amazing! And Mino is also one of the most talented rapper in kpop industry. Even though now I don’t really have the time to follow kpop as much as before, I will always have a soft spot for Winner ❤️

Yes thanks for reacting to Winner they are my favorite kpop boy group! To piggyback on your thoughts after the Everyday video, I started getting in to Winner because they seemed to have a more "western" feel to their music and MVs compared to other kpop acts which is one of the main reasons they are my favorite. I hope you eventually react to more Winner MVs (group and solo) in the future. I love how artistic and thought provoking some of their MVs are. I also appreciate how they are not afraid to interact with females, whether it be dancing or even making out with females in their MVs and also the diversity of the females they work with in their MVs.

Anyways, Yoon coming back and releasing a single/singles album makes sense because he already spoiled/talked about it last year. He specifically said he was going to release a song early 2022 and then after WINNER will comeback with an album. Then later this year, he’s hoping to release his 2nd solo album. Plus, the latest sightings of MV filming has only been of YOON by himself and Yoon’s MUA/staff posted about filming/working with Yoon for the next 2 days. So that is already a hint there that it’s a solo project for Yoon.
As for WINNER comeback, I think the boys are still finishing up recording music/preparing the album. Maybe they already discussed concept for album/MV in that recent meeting they had in YGE. I’m also happy that they’ve been filming content together for this year as WOT4. It’s going to bittersweet again when the maknae line aka Mino and Yoon having to enlist soon. 😭

WINNER is the first K-pop Male Group to do a naked scene on a Music Video.
And that speaks volumes for me because that means they take their crafts seriously and would try their best to get their messages delivered to their audiences.
They are always so involved in every aspect of their crafts, from music composition and production to their Music Videos. It safe to say that they are so vocals about what they want and how they want it and luckily, so far, they got to meet so many great people who helped them to achieve and realize their goals.
They are very well-known for their summer bops and crowned as 'King of Summer', but their ballads are equally as good 👍🏽
