I see this every time a movie theater movie starts. The best part of it is when it has that sound effect when it say DLP with the ring right next I love it :)
Anyone else have fond memories of being deafend by this intro? Jokes aside, I wish they would bring this back. Every time I would go to a theater I would see this play and know the movie was starting (and the sound design is amazing for this intro).
I think for me it was a combo of the sound and the rumble feeling just would tickle my nerves in a way that I love and glad to see others like this too.
Wehrenberg Theatres feature presentation, Marcus Theatres feature presentation, AMC feature presentation, Dolby Cinema at AMC, and this were the ones I saw
The cinedigm one was my favorite compared to this one… this one I feel like just showcased the color/sound/resolution accuracy of the camera more than anything (I’m a videographer) so I was never crazy about it…
And at mine, the CocoaPlex Cinema in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which closed down in 2019, along with the Dolby Digital “Spheres” logo and both meant that the movie was starting!
Put yourself in a theater. The leather of the seat that feels cool to the touch because you haven’t sat it in for hours, the lights on either side are still on, the hot popcorn bucket in your hands and the cool refreshment on either your left or right side. You recline back in the seat and go through the interactive or formal ads about cars, insurance, or about the cinema. Then, the lights dim and all the sudden sound comes from behind the left the right and in front of you. The light fills the room with the “power of cinema” This is the feeling of the movie beginning and you start devouring popcorn and get excited because you are watching a movie you had seen trailers of for a month. This is cinema at its finest
Aw man, this logo was my childhood growing up! Every time I went to see a movie, this would come on and it was AMAZING!!!!! (To tell you the truth, sometimes it sneaks it’s way into my dreams. Maybe because of how powerful it is.)
My local theater has this. The bass drop in the background is amazing Edit: unfortunately, the last time I went to my local theater they didn't play this. but a theater ~50 mins away (that I actually prefer going to now) still does, along with the Dolby spheres intro 😌
Whenever i went to see a movie i prayed that this logo wouldn't appear 😆The dark theme at the beginning, the loud sound and the vocals at the end scared me as a child. Now it's cool
Same but it was mainly due to the volume. The Dolby sphere all around you logo did the same. I would wear wax or foam earplugs or wadded up paper to dampen the sound. Now I absolutely love both. Also THX would do the same.
I love this intro. They don't premiere it anymore. It last aired in March, 2018. Everytime I went to the movie, this would come on and it was entertaining. Cool.
Bringing back middle school and highschool memories. Truly being a kid was so much simpler. Edit: the movie theater where i saw these doesn't exist now. It got demolished.
That’s not true they still do these intros today there is a movie theater called *Premiere Theaters at USA Florida Melbourne* and they still have this intro every movie
This used to play before the previews whenever I went to the theaters back then. This scared me so bad when I was younger because of how loud it was and the over-dramatic soundtrack. Looking back at this, this was basically the equivalent of seeing the THX logo in theaters. Glad my theaters don’t show this anymore.
I live in Hershey and they used to have this logo at a movie theater in my town known as the CocoaPlex Cinema whose digital projectors were made by DLP and was certified by Dolby Digital and they used to show the first logo I mentioned before the trailers because that’s what first comes up after they turn it on and then the Dolby Digital logo with the balls and the voice saying “All..around…you”
a theater back in Elko Nevada used to have this before sometime later they had the "please be quiet and curteous to others" with the 'enjoy the show' logo . i only remember seeing that before detective pikachu , and im currently unsure what intro they use now .
last time i saw this was before onward on march 7th 2020, now for the first time in nearly exactly one year i get to see this before raya and the last dragon. i missed the theater so much.
They still play this logo at my theater, but a long time ago there was another logo they played before this one and it drives me crazy because I have no idea what that logo was
it gave me goosebumps because of how awe inspiring it is, i like torrenting movies and im teying to find a way to add this clip to the start of my movies 😂😂
My movie Theater got rid of this and replaced it with EXCLUSIVE ads that are the trident vibes, sour patch kids pineapple car, the Geico with the person playing a didgeridoo, a red van commercial with "real people not paid actors", the musical nose whistling, brought to you by front and center (F+C)
Same here with CineMark Texas City 12 which use commercials GEICO American Girl (Mattel) Fisher-Price (Mattel) Chevrolet Microsoft "Happy Holidays" Amazon Walt Disney World PlayStation
The intro of the DLP Cinema logo is so epic. I see this every time when I’m at The Grand Theatre.
This is the part where you can start eating your popcorn
I saw it at Barn-Z Cinemas in 2013.
I remember this when I was watching minions movie in 2015
true
I remember this every time I see a movie it is nostalgic
Indeed it is
When I heard this for the first time I was in love with the sound. And honestly, I thought I was the only person that liked this!😂
I loved it too when I was a kid. Movie theaters are awesome are they not?
DLP cinema logo is soooo beautiful
I agree

They still use it at Malco cinemas
I think for me it was a combo of the sound and the rumble feeling just would tickle my nerves in a way that I love and glad to see others like this too.
Still used at a small theater in Illinois I work at.
@@AydenYoung it was used in a malco cinema in my state Louisiana
My local cinema still uses this intro 🤷🏼♂️
THX : I am the loudest
DLP: Hold my beer
This and Cinedigm a new paradigm in cinema are before every movie I’ve seen in a theater!
Wehrenberg Theatres feature presentation, Marcus Theatres feature presentation, AMC feature presentation, Dolby Cinema at AMC, and this were the ones I saw

I watch this right before watching all of my pirated movies.
Probably shouldn’t have commented that
Well this has to be the most careless comment I’ve read all day. #noshame #fbi
Nice
Lmao, C H E A T I N G S I M P
Not funny delete your comment now
all the time, this will show in my theatre
edit: this is still the same guy, it was at showtime cinemas in newburgh
And at mine, the CocoaPlex Cinema in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which closed down in 2019, along with the Dolby Digital “Spheres” logo and both meant that the movie was starting!
I remember this so much!
You just can't watch this without at least one subwoofer.
*entire theatre vibrates*

Just here remembering what it was like before quarantine
For years (even when I was a kid), I've seen these at the movie theaters almost every time I go!
They removed these from my theater. Now all we have are lousy Chevy commercials, with "real people, not paid actors".
same here! I think they call it "front and center". It's so lame and I miss this old logo from DLP.
I know.
1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara
Movie Man well my state California still has it.
those cinema tech trailers are awesome imho. Dolby intro, projector (christie, DLP, barco) intro...
Aw man, this logo was my childhood growing up! Every time I went to see a movie, this would come on and it was AMAZING!!!!! (To tell you the truth, sometimes it sneaks it’s way into my dreams. Maybe because of how powerful it is.)
Sapphire Dolby and DLP intro was amazing...
When I saw this, my memory went back 10 years

@@HeraldoisTimehn Yup. The Barrington location. I haven't been to it in a while so idk if they still play this before movies

Coming to the theater and seeing this was awesome.
this appears before the lights in the theater go out at cinema cafe.
Brings back memories! That simple C major drop hits hard
at my theater they play this logo its beautiful!
When you watch this and your ears aren’t bleeding
This intro is my favorite intro ever and brings me so many memories of this
This logo used to scare the everliving heck out of me up until i was 11 or 12. I’m 13 now and i can go to the movies without getting scared.
me too lmao

Compare yourself now to as you were 3 years ago
It used to scare me too!
@@lumonox i am now 16 (almost 17) and i can handle seeing a horror movie in theaters 😎
Bruh can we appreciate how detailed this is
That logo intro plays at the beginning of nearly every movie at the cinema Theater! I Have Always Loved it!
Imagine cinemas has this and the include the bass drop. Woah.
Watching this made me really miss going to the movies
I see this all the time when I’m at Malco cinema in Gonzales Louisiana
This is nostalgic It’s from my childhood
This is The BEST LOGO EVER!!!!!
I miss seeing this in theaters before the movie.
I always see this when I go to my local movie theater. When the logo's loud you can tell it is going to have great audio quality
Every time I go to the movies this plays before it starts. I love the sound ❤️
This is why I miss going to the theatres!
This is literally THX in 2020
Literally!!!
This still plays in my theater lmao
I love this sooooooo much
I love this intro. They don't premiere it anymore. It last aired in March, 2018. Everytime I went to the movie, this would come on and it was entertaining. Cool.

Me too, it's been years since I've seen this glorious logo in theaters. Adiós 👋

For years I have seen this logo for dlp tech at my local drive inn that is one of the last drive inns in America from now.
i can smell the popcorn from here
This is bad ass with full bass! Dammmm it gives me chills
I miss this
I feel like I'm entering into another dimension
I remember seeing this back when I always used to go to the Premiere Cinemas inside the San Jacinto mall
Brings back memories of seeing Iron Man and Speed Racer at the Krikorian in Monrovia, CA.
This used to play in the movie theater that I go to but now it only plays the audio and not the video. I haven’t seen this in a very long time.
everytime i go to the movies the logo appears and its really loud compared to this one
Because of the movie theater speakers
Turn your volume up all the way
The sound makes feel like I’m in a movie
Just love hearing the Indiana Jones whip sound on there
FINNALY I found it!

Galaxy Theaters... they use 'em

Ill low key go to the movies just for this
i still see this logo at my movie theater today

Marcus Theaters in Worthington often showed the short version of the Cinedigm logo and this version of the DLP Cinema logo.

i heard this at emagine on 23 mile in shelby township
I FOUND IT HOLY FUCK I FUCKING GODDAMN FOUND IT OH MY GOD
Can they honestly make this shit louder I remember I used to be afraid to go to the movies because of this
It's their mission to instill fear into children using these Dolby and THX "sound tests"
I saw this in snake eyes 2 days ago
oh yes my childhood
If I was a superhero, this would be how I want to make an entrance/exit.
Every Major Cineplex has this intro
I mossmiss this intro strangly
I haven’t seen this or its other logo in my nearby theaters since Big Hero 6
I remember the first time I heard this, I thought it was part of the actual movie.
Rest in peace cinema city theaters in yorba Linda you will be missed
I heard this at my theater at Emagine in lakeville Mn
At my Emagine theater, the screen would always be black when this plays.
1 hour loop of this?🎉
I am trying to find a way to get my theater to play these startups before my movie starts in my theater.
This is way better on a big sub, then the whole road shakes
I saw that intro in Havre cinema Montana
