during my Norway trip of this season, every single morning was like that.... the coffee movivated me to continue riding thru downporing rain... and more rain... and much more rain.... El Niño....

Hahaha, learning from the best. You should really get out flipping some pancakes again Tjommi 🤩 Yeah, and the worst thing is. I have one of those Thermacell you screw on the gas canister, but I left it at home. You don't need this so late in season. Thank you so much mate. Really glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙌🏻 it is actually the first time I ever tried to have music with vocals in my videos. 🤌🏻 hope you are doing great and that your give away was a success 😍
Stunning Vlog Thomas. You and I are alike, we are mosquito magnets!! I absolutely hate the buggers and like you I get itchy. Beautiful landscape and expertly filmed and edited!
Thank you Mike, so cool to see you "here" again. I'm absolutely terrorised by those damn things. And no matter how much I put on repellent, I'm still bitten, glow up like a Las Vegas sign and smell of citrus 😂 Hope you are dong great. Stay safe mate 🤩
Hahaha, yeah. that was an experience I'm not gonna put myself trough again 😂🙈 Glad you enjoyed it my friend. Hope you are well, and wish you a happy Holliday
You need a centerstand or a Scott oiler setup. The mosquitos are more than tough. Sometime a thick white frost is welcome packing up. I get a red ring around the top of my collar and the bottom of my helmet. Sometimes even more pleasant are mosquitoes crawling and biting inside your helmet while you ride. I love the north country and have learned to tolerate them somewhat. Tough. TS your vids are at a new level of good, really good. Your efforts are paying off in quality of content and presentation. Good job my Nordic ADV friend. I share them. I hope it helps your channel grow. A click of positivity. Beautiful country. Nice cabin for the night. Many fix their pasta the same way. I don't I like a flash boil. But both ways work. Presta, tomato sauce?
Thank you Sir, i really do appreciate it.... feel like a broken record here 😂 But a center stand is not good for me when riding offroad, I normally don't lube my chain, but every now and then I give it some transmission oil when it starts to rattle. This trail jack is made so I can take of the front or the rear wheel. It takes a minute or two extra, but I can live with that. Normally the bugs stay away the moment you start riding faster than walking speed. Really glad to hear my videos is evolving and are great to watch. This is something I find great pleasure in doing, and always nice to hear I'm heading in the right direction. And I'm a firm believer that quality, content and presentation is what makes a different in the long run. Have a great day sir. Thank you for this ☕️
Hahahahaha, thank you Sven.. now I understand why they love me so much. I was sitting on the rest place, chatting with an old lovely couple there. And they had no issues. It was only me. 🙈
Great filming and editing Thomas...great effort with the drive by footage. Dam those Mossies !! Look forward to seeing the next episode. Cheers, Steve 💚
Thank you Stephen 🤩 I personally find it so much nicer to watch if there is more dynamic footage and ride past footage. It feels more like I’m there again in a way. Just POV is not my cup of tea. I will see if i mange to get the last episode out there before Christmas, if not it will be out right over new year 🔥 Cheers
Great video thank you. Sorry to see your frustration with the mozzies, but it was great to see how real it was. And yuck, on the bacon toothpaste - and on pasta?! Very funny.
Glad you liked it mate. Haha, it is not often I get this frustrated on camera, but I found out that I needed to include this so people can see that it's not always sunshine and rainbows 😂 Haha, don't try that bacon toothpaste and noodles... 🙈
@@tshansen I think it was all doubly hilarious because you’re normally so organised and quite particular. I thought to begin with you might have actually had bacon flavoured cheese or something in the tube. But no, toothpaste. Aargh. Who even buys bacon toothpaste? And who sells it? Don’t worry, I don’t need the answer on that ;-)
Wow, great work! Your skills with the cameras & editing really shine in this film. The mosquito situation looked pretty tough, but the landscapes are amazing. Looked like a great ride 👍
Thank you so much Sir. Appreciate that. The mosquitos gave me an extra challenge, that is for sure. Every time I stopped the bike they wanted to eat me alive. So rigging up and down the camera all the time was hard 😂
This is the exact reason why I went so early up north this year (mid may). Too early though, most of the gravel roads were still covered in snow and thawing.
Yeah, avoid bug season is never a bad idea. But it is safe to say, these conditions is not normal up here, not by a mile. So you are really unlucky if you encounter these kind of conditions and now wind.
Great to have some extra work in the wintertime so the dark months are not that long. Enjoy the video tomorrow and the single malt. Cheers my friend, and say hello to Erica 🙌🏻

Hi Tomas, mosquitoes and sand flies are the bane of motorcycle travel here, in the South Island of New Zealand 🇳🇿, so I feel your frustration brother!! Had me laughing with the bacon toothpaste too!! ❤❤
I'm not sure if sandflies and horseflies are the same or similar. but we have mosquitos and horse flies up here. Absolute terror for us and camping. Glad this is relatable in different areas of the world. Hahaha, the bacon stuff was horrible 😂
Greetings from So Oregon brother another great adventure we have our share of those little blood suckers! They make camping out a challenge its been rainy and cold here i have been getting day rides in on my GS and old harley stay safe thanks for the adventure
Good morning David (morning here) glad you enjoyed this mate. Haha, yeah, those bastards sure knows how to take the fun out of camping sometimes. Cheers
I have the same ones stored under my seat (over the battery) absolutely genius and so well though trough. The tire levers with the bead braker is incredible as well. 🤩
Hallo, vielen Dank für das Video. Ich finde es sehr gut gelungen. Es ist sehr inspirierend für mich. Die Mücken sind die Hölle. Das habe ich schon vor Jahren erlebt. Aber gute Mittel senken das Problem entscheidend.
Hello mate, and thank you for the nice comment. Really glad you liked it and find it inspiring. That motivates me to be better as well. Mosquitos are hell, without a doubt. Next time i will bring my thermacell. Cheers ☕️
Hello T .. matspetterssontravel here ... In Sweden we are fighting for mosquitoes - most in the middle of summer. I have a tip - buy allergy tablets. A mosquito bite causes an allergy reaction, so you are helped .. Thanks for nice videos .. M
I will try this tip mate, i have tired zyrtec earlier, with no success. But i got a tip from another swede that can work. Or i will check if i can get them here in norway.
Benadryl anti itch cream is good, rub alcohol dabbed on, man tough. Some cheese paste, tomato sauce is fast easy to carry squirt flavor for noodles. A small container of spices mixed in a toiletry or food bag as well. Something besides plain on the run.
That is actually a really good idea. Just have a small bottle in the jacket alongside my fork to spice up the fast food if needed. Thank you, I have to look into this. I do think I have some old Camelback bottles that are ment for this.
Absolutely love getting a “tshansen” notification on my YT feed, gotta be one of if not the best MotoVlog Channels. Quality content with real world realities……………damn them mosquitoes 😂
Hahaha, thank you so much Peter 🙌🏻 Always nice to have your comments and support mate. Not sure if I'm even close to the top, but thank you for thinking so. I just do what I love and share my views on it. To get this amount of support and love is just incredible. Hahah, those mosquitos is nasty and irritate the living crap out of me 🙈🤣
Your movies are amazing - so professional. This year was exceptional regarding mosquito´s in Sweden after this rainy summer. Nice to see you were in the surroundings of my country house in Säter close to Torsång and Stora Skedvi. If you keep the root of the onion it keeps together while cutting it 🙂. Love the sound of your bike btw.
Thank you so much Johan 🤩 Yeah, this year is the worst thing I have ever experienced here up north. Holy crap it was intense for a while there. And so late in season as well. So you are from these parts of Sweden? Cool. Truly beautiful area. I keep that in mind when it comes to onions. I really don't have any skills on the kitchen 🙈 Cheers ☕️ And Marry Christmas to you 👏🏻
Thanks for amazing videos that are you making. I have a question. When are less mosquitos there? I am planning a trip this year from Romania up to Nordkapp, maybe I can skip the mosquitos period 😖. Thanks
Glad you liked it George. Noramly there is not mosquitos like this so late in the season. I'm not sure when it is less or more to be honest. I guess june and maybe late agust should normaly be fine.
LOL, dude, there is no way i would have tried that tooth paste on there, but i'm glad you did lol it made me laugh.....yeah, i would have given up on those mosquitos before you lol sláinte!

Thank you Haugen 👏🏻 I stored this comment, and will see if I can make this a separate request video. 🙌🏻 See if I manage to pack it in to a nice and not to long video with all my tips regarding your questions. Cheers ☕️
Hey Thomas, loved the video mate! Here’s a quick tip to get even better tasting coffee. Place the filter in the GSI and run some hot water over the paper filter prior to putting the beans in. Dispose the water from the mug, and proceed as normal. That will get rid of the ever so slight paper taste that the filters give to the coffee. It’s a small difference but a connoisseur like you will appreciate. Be well mate :-)
Hello Petros 🤩 thank you so much for the tip, I actually do this at home from time to time, but never on my trips. I really should start doing it to elevate it ever so slightly 🤌🏻 Stay safe mate ☕️
Frigging fantastic video. Man, everything over there seems so civilized, even the gravel roads seemed groomed. Over here is way more raw, and at camp, you are always looking over your shoulder for wildlife that may be interested in your camp. Why not use mosquito repellant? I always carry it with me on my bike. Although our summers lately have been hot and dry, so very little of an issue, unless near water. Love that cabin you stayed in, amazing. I'm building out my T7 this winter, exhaust, suspension (done), fuel tank, tail, grips -- the list is very long. and $$....That is such a cool part of the world, I feel my stress leaving my body as watch...again, great vid!🍻
Thank you so much Shane 👏🏻 Really glad to hear you enjoyed this 🤩 Yeah, the swedes do groom their gravel roads and maintain it regularly. Absolutely fantastic, but much easier to ride. Haha, wildlife over here is nothing to worry about. Some areas you may encounter wild boars or bears, but that is so rear you normally just forget about it. I normally bring with me something you can screw on the gas canister. called Thermacell... these works really good with the mosquitos over here, but I forgot It at home. I never dream of this situations so late in season over here. that is the best winter activities. Can't wait to hear how that goes. I'm doing some minor upgrade to the T7 myself. I want a new fuel map, change the levers to smaller two fingers and some other minor things. You need to come visit us one day mate. 🤩
@@tshansen Funny you mentioned that I was looking at the cost to fly the bike over. My wife has friends in Switzerland and wants to go for a visit this summer...would work great to bring my bike for a tour. The cost is pretty high compared to pre-COVID, definitely in my mind to figure something out.
That is the million dollar question my friend 😂 Because I had left it at home, I had no idea it could be this bad, this late in season! So it was my own dumb luck... and buying a new one never crossed my mind. 🙈
Thank you mate. No, it is actually tubed cheese with bacon flavour. I’m not sure if they have this in other parts of the world, and it has the call name of bacon toothpaste over here. 😂
That is absolutely true... but keep in mind that one Kanelbullar has the same amount of calories as a grown up person need for one day 🙈 I know, it takes the fun out of it... but holy crap those things are made to eat more than one. 🔥
Don't the repellent work there? I'm also a victim of mosquito's, so in the summer outdoors i cover my self with repellent... 😅 For the trailjack i bought a walking stick from Lidl, and made one.
Well the repellent you can buy here in Norway are so environmentally great it wont work for anything other than smell. And that is a combination of wiper wash fluid and citrus. A Thermacell normally works good, but I forgot to pack it, because I had no dream it would be this bad so late in season. I see many people do the same, with the trail stands. Absolutely genius to do that or a old crutch 🙌🏻
Hey....great as usual, thank you very much! Question.......did you ever use the alcohol burner with your Trangia? Or did you go directly to the gas burner? Thanks and all the best from Canada!
Hello Kenneth... thank you so much for the nice comment. Yes, I use the alcohol burner all the time at my cabin or when I'm just out cooking on local trips. When I'm doing longer trips with my bike I prefer the gas burner because it is so much more effective and use less fuel. Cheers
I find them using the Stegra.io route planner. It is an automated travel planer that takes you on adventurous roads or in between the points you set. I dont have a gpx file for this trip alone, sorry
Great vidéo as always even if mosquitoes are taking so much place in it :p Is it motorcycle chain lube directly sold in this little bottle ? If so I wonder where I can find the same one.
Well... it was the topic of the whole trip, I can assure you that. But I think that is what keeps it real. The everyday struggle that bugs you even if the whole day is superb. This will be edited to a long video in the end, so then it will make more sense than a stand alone episode. No, this is just an old bicycle chain lube canister I have put some transmission fluid in. that I use to lube my chain every now and then (when it starts to make too much noise)
@@tshansen thx, I'm thinking about doing the same thing with the canister and seeing you with that I was wondering if a brand sold this. Wy worry is about the big metal bottle of chain lube spray finishing in the trash. Could you find something like big 5 liters cans of chain lube to then empty the canister ?
Hi Thomas. I have a question. If you place your camera next to the road and you drive by, the image zooms out… Do you do that with an action cam? And if so, how? Thanks, Bart(NL)
Thanks Thomas! I am at the start of making (motorcycle)video's myself and have just purchased a DJI osmo action 4...... I was wondering how you did that...
Excellent video with an outstanding attention to details. The drone fits just perfectly on the low altitudes shots. Again, well done Thomas. As italian myself I am not going to comment about the pasta mix 😁 but I am glad you gave up on the noodles & bacon experiment😉. Those mosquitos are really an issue. I am just wondering if the situation will be the same on TET Norway next year (august/september).
Thank you Christian... I really appreciate the nice comment 🤩 When you don't have a mountain or hill everywhere, you can be much more creative with the drone. I quite enjoyed it actually. Hahaha, yeah... the pasta Is a whole other talk, (I don't do this at home...just when camping) 😂 Damn that bacon cheese and noodles was horrific 🙈 No, you will not see this level of mosquitos in Norway. This was absolutely extreme because of flooding. Normally most of them have died in august and September. So you should be safe. Cheers ☕️
Thank you Thomas 🤩 The eMTB is going great, it is probably some of the most fun I have had in a long time, and I'm really looking forward to the snow goes away. Yes, that was down from Monkebotn to Eidsvågen. Great little local trail. You know the area here? 👏🏻
Helt krise.
Yes! I absolutely love it. So easy to turn on and off, and you still can move it even if it's locked in. It is an absolute must on longer trips for me. Thank you mate, appreciate that. Much more to come 🤩
Tabbe!
every now and then the chain start making sound, giving it some oil makes it quiet again. And no, the oil does not go away after a few km, it stays for longer than you would expect. And I use transmission oil 🔥
@@UndCon yes! I started a series about this way back, but never got around to do more of it! That has to change 👏🏻🤩 i will make a few new ones to see how people like them
This was last autumn. It had rain for weeks and then it got ”warm ” agin. The mosquitos loved it. And they were very aggressive. Not normal With so many and so aggressive so far south in Sweden. Now in december they are all gone, -9 celsuis today 100 km south of Stockholm.
Thank you so much sir... well, no, there are normally just active for a short period in the summer, but because of some flooding, there was extra intens in the autumn as well. Not normal to have it like this up here.
@@tshansen Thanks for the swift reply👍, I am a good way through planning a trip to Norway/Sweden next year and would hate for it to be ruined by bugs! 😳 unfortunately it’s going to take 5 days just to ride there, which is going to limit my time to explore your stunning country! But I can’t wait! 👍
@@LatexMallard Don't let this scare you off... in many cases there is more wind as well, so the mosquitos won't be this bad even in high season. Cool to hear you plan an adventure up here. Yeah, it takes some time to get up here, but trust me, it is worth it 🔥
Hahaha, I would give the same advice... the bacon flavoured cheese did not work well with the nudels 😂 But I had to try 🙈🤣 It depends on the season and where you go, in most of the northern countries it can be this bad, and more bad the longer north you go. 🙈
When you truly enjoy what you are doing, can you really call it work. Getting paid for what essentially is a hobby, what better way to spend your time.
Hey Thomas, love the video as usual, however I said I wouldn't just shower you with praise.... So I've got a question/comment: it's extremely common these days to see UA-cam footage (and other social media video footage) jump directly from edit to edit without any attempt to hide the edit point - specifically when the subject is speaking directly to camera. Hell, even Sterling Noren has started doing it! This isn't something that we see in cinema, nor in television traditionally, but it seems to have become acceptable on UA-cam and elsewhere. In this Episode I noticed you did it at the 1:15 mark, but a couple of seconds later you did a traditional cut to B-roll (the cobweb)... so this would suggest you have enough B-roll to play with, but you are deliberately making jump cuts. I'm curious to know why you wouldn't try to hide the edit point (I assume it's an edit point)? [Apologies for asking you to explain this on behalf of all UA-camrs!!!!]
I think this has become acceptable on UA-cam because of the short attention span we have. and one of the reason I do it because flow in audio is more important than flow in video/pictures. And since English is my second language, I have periods where I stutter, miss spell or just say stuff that I recapture a little bit later. And there is no b-roll at the time I feel is correct to overlay when I'm talking about this subject. When I'm on trips like this I try to edit as chronological as possible so you have a feel for the day and how it goes by (if that make sense) And there is maybe an other reason for it as well that I don't think about., it feels more human and not so polished? It is a great question I really don't have a good answer to on the top of my head. 👏🏻 Thank you, appreciate that. Would love much more of these kind of questions in the comment section 🙌🏻
This is my exact thoughts as well, but some Italians goes NUTS if you do it 😂 Hahaha, i actually did, but i did not include the footage of it. You can never have enough cheese, or bacon 😂 That is a famous jungle word.

Incredible storytelling! Bravo and thanks! 👍
Thank you Pål 🤩 Appreciate it 🙌🏻
👍 great to see some motorcycle trip on a snowy day
I absolutely love having material like this to work with during the winter Kim, snow has hit hard here as well. Not much to do about that 😇
Amazing Content..Great Views every thing your camera capture..👍
Thank you so much Sir. Rally appreciate that 🙌🏻
Superb video Thomas! Really enjoyed everything about this one!
Mmhmm hmmm No, not gonna happen 😀😀😀 I liked your reaction on the bacon paste ! Love the video Thomas
Thank you for this ☕️
Nice ! You know mosquitos love the smell of coffee ? and noodles 🤣🤐
Love these videos. Feeling inspired, Think I’m gonna buy a T7 WORLD RAID.

Hello T .. matspetterssontravel here ...
In Sweden we are fighting for mosquitoes - most in the middle of summer. I have a tip - buy allergy tablets. A mosquito bite causes an allergy reaction, so you are helped ..
Thanks for nice videos ..

I really should start doing it to elevate it ever so slightly 🤌🏻
Stay safe mate ☕️
Why don't use Thermacell? I had it on our trip to Scandinavia and it was great.
That is the million dollar question my friend 😂 Because I had left it at home, I had no idea it could be this bad, this late in season! So it was my own dumb luck... and buying a new one never crossed my mind. 🙈
Hi Thomas, another giid video😊 .
Was that real toothpaste that you had with noodles? Didnt know toothpaste can ve eaten😅
Thank you mate. No, it is actually tubed cheese with bacon flavour. I’m not sure if they have this in other parts of the world, and it has the call name of bacon toothpaste over here. 😂
healthy food... certainly! But nothing.... nothing beats fresh Kanelbullar with Cardamom-coffee in Sverige !
For the trailjack i bought a walking stick from Lidl, and made one.
Cheers
How do you find those great gravelroads? Do you have a GPXfile?
I find them using the Stegra.io route planner. It is an automated travel planer that takes you on adventurous roads or in between the points you set. I dont have a gpx file for this trip alone, sorry
Great vidéo as always even if mosquitoes are taking so much place in it :p
Is it motorcycle chain lube directly sold in this little bottle ?
@@tshansen You have to speak about the mosquitoes for sure, but the trip seems to be great anyway ;) Waiting for the following ;)
Hi Thomas. I have a question. If you place your camera next to the road and you drive by, the image zooms out… Do you do that with an action cam? And if so, how? Thanks, Bart(NL)
Hello Bart 🤩 this is done with my Sony camera, placed on a tripod and i use digital zoom in the editing software 🔥
Cheers ☕️

Fungerer denne manuelle cruisecontrollen greit?

Tabbe!
why oiling the chain in the middle of the trip instead end of a trip? the oil is already gone after driving a km
every now and then the chain start making sound, giving it some oil makes it quiet again. And no, the oil does not go away after a few km, it stays for longer than you would expect. And I use transmission oil 🔥

Another great film! Mosquitoes look like a bloody nightmare! Are they a problem for the whole year?
Yeah, it takes some time to get up here, but trust me, it is worth it 🔥
My advice, stick to the pesto instead of liquid meat flavoured things 😜
Is the amount of mosquitoes only in Sweden that bad?
Hahaha, I would give the same advice... the bacon flavoured cheese did not work well with the nudels 😂 But I had to try 🙈🤣 It depends on the season and where you go, in most of the northern countries it can be this bad, and more bad the longer north you go. 🙈

When I'm on trips like this I try to edit as chronological as possible so you have a feel for the day and how it goes by (if that make sense)
And there is maybe an other reason for it as well that I don't think about., it feels more human and not so polished? It is a great question I really don't have a good answer to on the top of my head. 👏🏻 Thank you, appreciate that. Would love much more of these kind of questions in the comment section 🙌🏻

Glad to see you enjoy my content Morten 😂
Our pleasure. Wouldn´t miss it for the world! 😉
Turkish subtitle please 🙏
Let me see what I can do about this. 🙌🏻
Starting pasta in cold water changes nothing. Result is the same. It is just religion :) The only big mistake: You did not empty the pack of cheese.
This is my exact thoughts as well, but some Italians goes NUTS if you do it 😂 Hahaha, i actually did, but i did not include the footage of it. You can never have enough cheese, or bacon 😂 That is a famous jungle word.
Thank you 🤩
"bare" skin.
That was the word I was looking for 🙈👏🏻 Thank you 🙌🏻
@@tshansen separate the words when you pronounce them otherwise it might sound like bearskin 😉😊
