I have the last gen model bought in 2022.
The product is very good but Toyota service is a far cry from what high paying patrons expect.
The parts are usually not available locally, takes anywhere between 3 weeks to 3 months to ship them from Malayasia to get even menial issues sorted.
Also, the staff that caters a glanza customer, caters to camry as well; not greased enough but sometimes outright unprofessional.
A recent issue I've been dealing in Pune, a torn boot cap which should cost no more than 5k required a half axle replacement costing 40k because Toyota doesn't just keep a boot cap. It took them 3 months to get it shipped since it was detected.

Toyota did a fantastic job by launching new Camry. We need quality cars for Toyota. If they launch rebadged cars from Suzuki with better build quality then that would help them get back that Safety tag which the earlier generation of Glanza lacked in India

just imagine people buying Fortuner like crazy at similar price that guzzels fuel just because of SUV craze. Similar case with thar as well, 99% of them roam in city and put one time offroad accessories like they go to off road trial everyday.

Get your facts correct man. That may be the case with Germans and Americans. Japanese brands are nowhere dying . Toyota and Honda still hold the top position in global automobile industry followed by Koreans. And this Camry along with the new Prius have become the headache of ev makers with their market leading fuel efficiency .

Its sells for about 40 lakhs even in US. Look at Camry alongside a 20 lakh Virtus and you will see the sheer difference in size.

While the car performs well, I find its design to be quite outdated and reminiscent of styles seen in developing markets. My expectations from Toyota, as a global leader in the automotive industry, are significantly higher. Unfortunately, it seems that the brand has not been introducing advanced and contemporary designs comparable to competitors like Mahindra and Tata.
I must admit, I am disappointed. I believe these models might be better suited for markets such as Nepal, Pakistan, or Bangladesh, where there may be a different demand for such designs. I hope Toyota considers innovating and aligning its future designs with the evolving global trends.
