They’re to common and too powerful the best strong weapon was Zeus thunderbolt as it was easy to shoot but also useful in the right situations now everyone just spams fists

The cars really did need a nerf. It's kinda sad they aren't at full power anymore, but i'm definitely still gonna have fun with them.

Once again comp players fucked up the game so they can be the all important gods of the game. Honestly the season was fine as it is.
The cars were tanks.
They were some high level Uncharted enemy vehicle status.

I’ve said it once and ill say it again, they should just nerf the vehicles in competitive not for casual players, this way it’s not just a normal plain and simple battle royal every season and it actually has a theme

The cars were near unstoppable tanks. The slight balancing that was done was definitely needed.
The competitive players proving how strong and capable they are once again by crying to mommy and getting their way...
Or fortnite doing a regular balancing of things in game after week.
The vehicles were tough, they needed to be balanced out slightly.

@@tomgames8616I play a mix of the two, and everyone seems to be very closed minded about the opposite mode. ZB and BR are both super strategic, ZB is just more environment and aim based.
That's cool, for a couple weeks BR was fun....back to build spam.
It's been a week. Balancing changes after a week are to be expected. It's normal.
Anyone could see the cars were extremely difficult to counter.
(In zero build, don't use the "you can't hide in a box" line because I literally can't do that in my primary mode for battle royale)

Boogie’s return is great but those car nurfs are something.
Boss cars not healing is something I’m not sure off maybe if you had to get out of the car for it to heal could solve the problem.
Boom bolts are already kind of strong since they damage the player inside as well.
Reduced health in solos is actually wired. In solo you can only use one part of the car at a time while in duos, trio and squads you could have some use drive and the other battle so they should be nurfed in those modes not solos.
Everything else I’ll wait and see if they where good or bad changes
boombolts doesnt always dmg the driver, it depends where you shot the arrow, if its at the windshield yea its gonna hit em but if its the hood or the back its not getting in

its just a nerf if you can't get any kills without using cars you should quit the game

The nerfs aren't horrible but they really shouldn't bring back EMP's. It's going to kill the entire theme of the season and make cars useless.

honestly I wouldn't have thought that cars were broken if some guy wasn't repair-torching their car while attacking me. I was actually managing to fight the car on foot like a matador, but the car basically had infinite health because the repair torch. Thank god for the increased vehicle damage on boom bolts though. But at the same time it sucks that they nerfed the gauntlets
Fortnite should just make a madness ltm with like tons of mythics, vehicles, abilities, and maybe even 3 lives per player because that would be really fun and chaotic!

Dude the gauntlets already took forever why??? I also notice that the NPCs are noticeably worse, like I'm getting shot and the person is clearly visible to the hireable and they'll just stand there and not help anymore. It's bogus and has costed me several matches.
Tbh I agree with the cars being OP, if you aren't in a car, you're screwed. It makes it very not fun to play (no I'm not a comp player, but I feel like I don't enjoy it nearly as much this season).
I hope they got rid of the glitch that makes you stay still and not take damage

Yall sweats, pros and comp players really gotta take the majority of the player base into consideration. I can tell you now that most of us adore this season so far and I'd personally place it among the top 5 at the state it is in at the moment. You also don't need to spend the best years of your life grinding comp, just play casually for like 1 season

Everyone's kinda overstating how extreme these nerfs are, like yeah cars are a bit weaker, but they're far from a dumpster fire that shouldn't be touched. And for the record, I'm on the side of this season being great.
oh man, this was actually one of the most fun and refreshing seasons probably of all time. Yeah it was unbalanced and different but thats what makes it fun after all. Competetive players again ruining a game just like overwatch

Increasing nitro gauntlet charge times is really stupid because they already take pretty long to charge in the first place
Ok, all the nerfs sound fine except that the boss cars don’t automatically heal, now I have to use a space for a repair torch that won’t even last more than 5 minutes
Really the only thing that needed to be nerfed were the boss cars as it was significantly harder to win without one beforehand. Ig also increasing the accessibility of car mods on the upper half of the map. But BOOGIE BOMBS?! Why?
I mean, they're still very good. I for one loved the cars being as broken as they were, but I can totally see why some wouldnt dig with it. Epic took the best approach trying to make everyone happy.

Two glaring problems I’m having is the nitro fist nerfs, and the boss car automatic Health regen. I don’t ever go to boss cars cause I never needed them to win. But now they’re EXTREMELY unrewarding. Low fuel has never been a problem, and nitro is all over the place. Regen health was the only reason they where ever used, cause they’re not customizable. I’m betting people are now gonna run around with SUVs, machine gun, and spiked bumper setups. High health and damage cars.

I haven't played today, so I'm hoping this isn't too bad of a nerf, but I guess we'll see how this goes.
It probably isn't that bad.
Remember, the fortnite community as of late has not been charitable to Epic recently.
All that was done is vehicles do reduced structure damage (entire areas on the map could be leveled by vehicles), cars have reduced health in solo mode (they are brutal to fight alone, particularly the turret), the crossbow gets a damage buff against vehicles (something that was needed), and the gauntlets take longer to recharge (they can't be spammed now, each hit was 55, it was needed).
These aren't terrible changes. These are actually some needed balances to the game.

I played somewhat comp, the cars were fun, but at the same time, when you didn’t have it, it wasn’t fun. Boss cars were without doubt broken. Also Nitro. No person should be able to kill them with a shoulder bash. But they shouldn’t nerf casual. Sweats complain cause they can’t play the game their way. So regular should be basically left alone, ranked and comp should be met with these changes due to lost peoples play style.

Ideally, players should know how to adapt and go along with the season, I mean the only reason that they keep dying to cars is because they ain't taking the cars for themselves 🙄

I can't stop laughing at this. This is how it always is.
Level playing field is an objectively false term, a boss car is a near unbeatable instant win condition without these nerfs, now they might actually be fightable so every player can have fun, not just comp players and not just casual players

The cars needed a nerf, they were overpowered. Most of this has literally nothing to do with comp. It was insanely overpowered, and they nerfed it like they should have. That's literally common sense, nothing new here. Yall are the same people that get Mas at overpowered weapons but the second it benefits yall to have overpowered weapons you guys cry when it gets nerfed like overpowered weapons should. 1 item that takes no skill shouldn't mean the difference between winning and losing.

How to keep your PvP game alive: NEVER prioritize listening to the competitive players. They are a small minority of the playerbase who play one specific gamemode so much that their perception of the rest of the game is completely warped and skewed. All they know is winning and nothing else. Not every player is like that, and most certainly not the majority. You don't want to over-tune your game. That can lead to the fun being sucked out of it.

I do have to say, I hate how the comp players are ruining the fun, but at least we are getting a way to fight back if we dont have a car (either from people stealing them as soon as the driver gets out and they take one singular peice of damage, or people sticking in cars for the whole match). It is a fair reply to do stuff like reduce Nitro bash and add a temporate counter to the cars until more items to counter the car get introduced later on... but removing the fun of actually playing with the thing the season is based around, and nerfing the fun weapon called the Nitro fists (it seemed like 8 seconds were good enough for a cooldown, but the fun police called competitive players had to make the weapon almost useless to pick up), Competitive players have just made the game a bit more on their side, while the casual players could end up being the ones skipping the season soon. Fortnite has been a little lackluster this year when it comes to having fun by goofing off with friends and having a good time, but now when a season that seemed to allow a good time goofing off comes here, the competitive side started to rebel/complain without giving the thing a whole week of being up. Sure there are a lot of features that kind of "frown" upon build fighting (Nitro, cars, especially with cow catchers, and I geuss Nitro fists), but like a lot of people are suggesting, "Adapt"

These balances were so you could survive out of a car.
1: there is a new sniper arriving who will do great damage to the vehicle
2: the boom bolt does more damage
3: the boogie bomb returned
4: they will add the EMP grenade
but they still lowered the HP of the cars + removed the regeneration of the boss cars... I'm sorry but are they stupid?
