- The Proton X70 Executive AWD is the hidden gem in the Proton X70 product range. I would choose this variant over all other variants.

A very compelling car for the price! Well specced, well appointed... very affordable yet it doesn't feel cheap in any way. But I still want the panoramic sunroof (love driving with the shade open), so I'll still go for the 1.8.
Then you'd better get it now, because they will be eventually phased out.
AWD. A worthy SUV 👍🏻👍🏻
If AWD spec same like premium gonna great
If Proton were to install this 1.5l turbo engine and AWD to the X50 Exec model and market it around the 90k level, then it will be a hit!
Alalalaa
Hahaha, it's nice to dream.
That would be pretty sweet, but I think proton would need to fabricate a new rear floorpan to house the rear diff, since Geely doesn't have an AWD variant of that car
X50 awd?
AWD 走山路就非常美,可以进园丘也无需担心
AWD真的会比较适合那些有时会去越野的人使用
Boss, I would love to see you review and test drive the latest Proton Saga MC2 premium S. Very excited to see how you feel about it😎
We have not been given a test car yet. Mechanically it is very similar to the previous variant, which was quite good to start with, so this one should be good too.
Hi, I really love to watch your video. And I'm about to buy X70 premium. But can i ask What is the better point compared to X50? Because i don't see much different between them. And i feel that X50 has better design. Thank you in advance. 😊
The X70 is a C segment SUV, so is bigger. If you need the size, take X70.
Sadly there is no ADAS suite for this 119k++ price
Welldone proton x70 turbo comes with awd... If x50 turbo also come with awd more fun
Waiting for honda hrv review
Uncle Khong, when are you going to test drive hrv? Is it soon?
Mr. YS Khong. I have heard from many X70 and X50 owners that there is a spare part shortage and depending on which part, it could take as long as 2 months to get it replaced. What is your take on this? Please comment.
I think Proton is doing something to address the issue, if any.
New car hit from back. Waiting for spare parts … rear bumper and back body panel. Approx. 2 months delivery :)
@@khchan8341 2 months is average waiting time for all brands. So that's kinda fast lol. Mine is a week ( side mirror gone)
I am waiting for proton x90, but it has no awd. So too bad
Uncle, what do you think about the cabin noise for x50 or x70?
Actually it is quite impressive.
I am from Pakistan. We get x70 as well. Why don't they spec AWD to fully loaded instead of FWD as the top version?
Good question to ask your distributor.
Hi Uncle. I'm curious about the fuel consumption between the AWD and normal 2-wheel drive X70. Thank you
Plus minus 10 percent, depending on how you drive.
Uncle Khong, compared with Honda CRV 1.5TC, which one is more powerful and picking up speed faster?
Would be quite close.
My 1.8 tgdi dct vanquishes it every time.
I don’t like the P-button on the gear knob. As a former manual gear driver, i have a habit of resting my hand on gear knob. Many times accidentally pressed it. I’m also wondering about something … when i lift my foot off the accelerator at very low speed e.g. in parking level, i noticed engine braking more obvious compared to my previous cars. Is this due to the turbo engine? Thank you sir.
Probably due to the inertia caused by the awd system, happend when wheels are turned, right?
Hello, 66, retiring soon. What is a suitable car to buy? Not much driving except a once a month 4-500 km trip from the north to KL and back.
Please pm me 0163350609. We will help you find the right car.
any differential lock uncle?
Sorry, no.
Uncle which proton sales center did you get the car from
We have two.
@@YSKhongDriving can I know the places uncle
Hi uncle ☺️ , What would you recommend between an X70 or a Subaru xv ? 🤭😊
Depends on what you want. The XV has a permanent AWD system that is quite unique, while the X70 has more power and torque.
Too pricey. For about the same price, you can get a full 4x4 systems like the Triton and Hilux mid spec, with diff lock and stuff. Why would Proton creeping into this particular well-contested segment is beyond me. Beside, the appearance looks too 'china'.
Perhaps because a pickup truck is not a SUV.
@@YSKhongDriving Theres a blurry line between pickup trucks and SUV these days. Remove the bucket from a Hilux and you get a Fortuner: an SUV, same tech, same electronics.
@@royalfinest So you want a RM185k Fortuner equivalent for RM115k? You'll still complain coz it's still not a Toyota.
@@kkhalifah1019 A basic 4x4 triton is around RM118k. Thats a full blown 4x4 system. I believe severely lacking X70 is around that price.
they need to solve the spare part issue first. keep doing videos like this wouldnt help
Fyi, uncle YSK is a car review @ youtuber. Its not him who need to solve the sparepart problem. Ask Proton for that issue
Correct. I review cars. I am not Proton, and I am not in any position to tell Proton what to do.
Wow, stumbled upon your channel and man! your driving up the genting is very exciting! Uncle Khong, could you possibly do a review for the new HRV RS eHev? I understand that the hybrid is not going to be as powerful as as the 1.5 Turbo version (in high speed) but how much worst is it? All other reviewer just drive around town normally and don't really test for higher speed driving much, everyone's is saying the car is more sluggish compared to turbo version (again in high speed). Which is obvious, but is it really bad?
It will have the exact power train as the City RS or the Hatchback RS. The turbo will be more powerful.
@@YSKhongDriving if its the exact same, then i guess turbo would be more fun to drive. Gotta leave the automatic boot then
