Watching this in 2020 : it's mindblowing ! It is one of the best best brickfilm I ever seen, while it is 13 (almost 14) years old ! It proves that it's not the gear that count, but the lighting, the framing, the animation and pace. All this was succesfully done ! Awesome job !
I just had to watch this again, today. UA-cam recommended it, and I hadn't seen it in a few years. Great watch! "Driven" is just another of your films I could watch endlessly, again and again. The cinematography, pacing, and sets in this one are superb, as is the overall atmosphere. I like that it's essentially silent, too. Only the music & visuals "drive" the story forward. :)
This has to be the best Lego film I have seen in some time.. The camera work, animation set design and attention to motion was inspiring. This is going in my favorites!
I must say that every your brick film is an inspiration to the onhr brick filmer to thous ho are only the beginers or to thous who have lost hope thank you
Hi My name is Ryan Hudson I'm working with a rally that we are making and after seeing 10,000 Lego shorts i am amazed with this one i am sending your video to our Lego shorts contest in the rally you are number 6 in our list you have talent with Lego thank you for making this short for people to enjoy your talent I'll rate this a 10/10
Its like one of those really good movies that no one has heard of, like equilibrium-- great movie! yet no one i know has seen of it, yet alone heard of it. very touching storyline
He used the Logitech QuickCam 4000 AND a Canon Powershot A85. Every one of his films before this was shot with only the QC 4000, and all films after this was shot with the Powershot.
RE to razorxxlego: That sprayer piece isn't custom, its a fire hose, and I'm pretty sure the was an added on affect, since they seems to be used a lot in this video. Great movie anyway!
The government dictation had supposedly decreed that everyone had to wear blue. And that they couldn't have cars or motor vehicles. And that it was only in that city.
amazing to say the least. nice cinematography and camera angles, especially seeing the main characters face through the spinning spokes. love the lights on the cars and all the other added effects, very smooth. what program do you use to add your effects may I ask?
my guess is he got the Lego police-man set that came with a officer and a motorcycle and the painted the motorcycle black..idk where u would get a black one
At the start with all the people wearing the same clothes except for the main guy, was that symbolism to show how different and 'driven' he was from the rest?

The song is "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Chill Bill.
He was the one man, who had the drive.....to defy all odds

Aah, an old favorite. Still enjoy watching it after all these years.
I must say that every your brick film is an inspiration to the onhr brick filmer to thous ho are only the beginers or to thous who have lost hope
thank you
This reminds me of Half Life 2, the strict police force, the same clothing and the main character rebelling.
One of the best stop motion movies I have ever seen

Its like one of those really good movies that no one has heard of, like equilibrium-- great movie! yet no one i know has seen of it, yet alone heard of it. very touching storyline

I liked how you changed the face colour from flesh to yellow as he went into a different region
I think the settings are the best part to this film.
He used the Logitech QuickCam 4000 AND a Canon Powershot A85.
Every one of his films before this was shot with only the QC 4000, and all films after this was shot with the Powershot.
If this video had been long enough, it would make a great action film!
it's 1984... except Winston gets away!
I definetly think that his story lines need some work, but his animating skills, and fx skizilz are awesome!!
I love the lights and wheels. XD
nice lighting great music awsome animation great job!
RE to razorxxlego:

Wow. Absolutely amazing! This acctually must've taken you forever! You are a complete genius, my friend!
LOVE THE BIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd recommended the Logitech QuickCam 9000, it's a huge upgrade from the QC 4000 and it's what most brickfilmers use, including me. :)
I like this movie.
you truly are the lord of the lego!
The government dictation had supposedly decreed that everyone had to wear blue. And that they couldn't have cars or motor vehicles. And that it was only in that city.

Very tight, excellent video, well worth the wait. V.cool.
Very nicely done, Nathan. It was definitely worth the wait. :)
No, it is a Lego chain, like in the Hailfire droid set.
I think u should make a "Driven 2", but make the main character have a car. Otherwise great video!
awesome animation mate, good work
I noticed that he used the cars u see on the street he took apart ant put in the junkyard. Smart so he didn't have to make new cars for that shot.
Great. Very good animations.
Awesome LOTL, better than I expected.
Bravo! That was an amazing piece of work! It was worth the wait!
this was uploaded 07/07/07
my guess is he got the Lego police-man set that came with a officer and a motorcycle and the painted the motorcycle black..idk where u would get a black one

Set at 2:29 rocks! Also, great video!
It's a flashback.
This is REALLY awesome! what program did you use to do the special effects?
Alright, look in to it! Thanks for your help! :)
that was truly a brilliant video 5 stars
Great presence to it, nice not having sound effects and just letting the music do the talking.
At the start with all the people wearing the same clothes except for the main guy, was that symbolism to show how different and 'driven' he was from the rest?
Awesome dude! Keep up the good work!
