i think the reason why you stick to walls is because the "programmer" made the movement speed when pressing toward a wall "0" in all directions, instead of having "0" horizontally and a vertical falling speed
i really don't know, you're probably right. there are a few simplistic programs floating around, and some of them just seem too similar when it comes to minimal-quality games like this
