I know for a fact that the mascot giving him the certificate was the highlight of the season for Ellis 😂
Was it you in the mascot costume?😂
goattt
@@Myles-Sherlock i worded this poorly. I meant it was the highlight of the season for Ellis lol. No I was not the mascot 😂
Honestly a bit disappointed the final scene didn't have it hung up on his wall. Would have been the perfect visual gag.
For real though. Best mascot interaction ever.
Instant classic, one of the best awaydays if not THE best. The mascot being a fan of awaydays, Exeter fans bringing the energy, the fan saying he’s gonna off himself, the penalty save, the certificate, the Exeter fans arguing with a player and just the whole vibe of blackpool. Absolute all time classic video, cheers Ellis
christ mate he's not going to sleep with you.
@@HeathWPi see we had the same line of thinking 😂
Come on Exeter!!!!
@@HeathWP a man can only dream of being with a hunk like Ellis
Typical of most holt benders @@VilladsBk
Ellis, I'm the "Dry Pastry Guy" and think I've got the best method ... upside down, inside first, crispy top last which is coated with a little spread of filling ... no mess, end with the best bit! SCONES:Cream1ST, PIES:Inside1ST 😁 . Also, Jon Beer is a legend, love the MNFC POD and someone tell Dave Q11 should've stayed in because going to Away Days is the best advice!
This is amazing
I’m so glad you saw this comment Ellis.
This method should be in the national curriculum.
The police at the beginning was there to protect everyone else from Ellis
😂😂😂
Afcon cup is on.
Asian cup is on.
Where’s Ellis?
Blackpool.
Good on ya!
As much as I enjoy other international leagues and competitions, it's nice for the lower-divisions of football in Britain to get coverage too.
@@ReeseJamPiece. yep
Went to Blackpool the weekend before you Ellis, walked into what was apparently the best pub in Blackpool. Within 2 minutes there was a guy threatening the barman with a pool cue... Kinda set the tone for the whole weekend
53 on the mascot's shirt is for the famous Stanley Matthews FA Cup final win over Bolton in 1953 I reckon
"famous" LMFAO
@@don_chan3638it's quite famous mate for football fans who've actually read a book

Blackpool isn’t really a violent place, it’s just a tourist destination for traditionally working class people. And as with any tourist destination, you just naturally end up with more crime because the tourists are often very drunk and at the same time you get more people trying to scam them. Meanwhile if you’re a local or just someone going about your day it’s a perfectly safe place like basically any other British town.
Well said pal. I'm a visitor of blackpool and love the place.
I went last year first time going as my friend moved there and i quite enjoyed it more then i thought i would
This. And given there's virtually no tourists there in January, Blackpool is virtually empty and very safe.
Clickbait title sneering at the northern working class.
Offer me Blackpool over parts of London every day of the week!
Problem with that theory is that most of the violent crime I hear about comes from locals
Afternoon. Part of the family who do the mascot at Blackpool (brother messaged you on instagram). Make sure you get that certificate in a frame! Was a pleasure meeting you and Ben, hope you had a decent trip!
As a Rangers fan, I have always liked Blackpool due to our close ties, their history, and passionate fans. I usually only follow the SPFL and J.LEAGUE but I've watched every Blackpool game since 2021. Probably my most favourite awayday video so far.
Rangers fans always welcome in Blackpool
769 violent crimes per 10k residents is insane. I live in a town that’s considered bad, and it only had 229 violent crimes last year and I’m in Florida and they are almost equal in population
Ellis and Ben that was simply a laugh and great video. Just gets better. Those Exeter fans with their beach shirts cracked me up, and your pre game look at Blackpool was a killer. There are videos on UA-cam also showing the plight of Blackpool as a resort, because they have lost sight of the times. Grimsby, once the worlds, yes the worlds no1 fishing port, is the same. Luckily, a few towns in england have realised that they just cannot live in the past. One of your funniest videos so far
As a reporter on Sunday newspapers in the late 1980s/early 1990s football violence was viscerally real. I know I saw it. Better policing (primarily keeping known trouble makers apart/banning orders/etc, have changed the picture and (I hope) the younger generations are more interested in the beautiful game than a melee. But football-related violence was (and is) a thing.
unfortunately there's some young fans who idolise the 'old school', but they're a very little minority - for the most part, football is the priority
A lot has changed since you were on the terrace 😂
I think it’s the CCTV that’s everywhere that stops a lot of it from happening. A lot harder to go and have a scrap at the football and get away with it than it was 40 years ago
@@stanwilliams4 And their parents/guardians need to have a hard look at themselves if they're encouraging it
Proper enjoyed this one mate, the editing is amazing, and the content is always class, those fans were mint, keep up the great work 👍👍
This has to be one of the funnest football blogs Ive seen in years. Fair play to you guys for bigging it up. On the violence side I take the light heart humour and the sensational titles, its all about click bait and getting subscribers and likes. Good to see what you put up as an adventure as if we just relied on the football the you might just get 60 seconds worth. Anyway well fine keep it going and maybe your make a million subscribers one day... I did all of this sort of thing 40+ years ago, I'm now chilling out in Asia content on watching you guys earning your stripes.... in my time, violence was at every corner, that just as it was way back then... good vid worth several laughs
love the channel, keep it up.
PS my grandparents live near there in lytham, I've been to every place in the video!
This is one of your best ever videos! Perfect combo of your new style and old school AwayDays!
Keep up the good work Ellis!
Absolutely class video. Was gutted I didn't get the chance to meet you as your my favourite football UA-camr. Once again the content was incredible and a good laugh. Hopefully you come back to Blackpool 😂 even though it's not the nicest of places. Anyway keep the content up. UTMP🍊
As a Millwall fan, I just want to say, this is one of the best football Vlogs I’ve ever watched. Well done lads. You made me laugh. Keep up the good work. Love the humour. COYLs. 🦁🦁🦁
Brother, right when u saw u uploaded. I jumped out my seat lol, thanks for great content homie
Im the guy in the brown coat next to Ben. Was unbelievably cool to be stood with you guys
Lesssgooooo
Been waiting for it haha
Gotta love some Ellis in Blackpool 😂😂
One of your best this, really enjoyed it!
Love the content, wish I could travel to random games every week but it’s just too spread out in the US unfortunately
Hiya mate as a Blackpool season ticket holder I would not call Blackpool violent , disappointed as i didn’t see u at the match and the Bloomfield bear is number 53 because we won the fa cup in 1953 👍
Brilliant once again Ellis what a game!
Love it Ellis! Up the Away Days!
Blackpool’s mascot wears number 53 because Blackpool won the FA cup in 1953
This vid was amazing!!
Basically this is just Ellis Platten: The Real Football Factories 😂
Great concept for a video!!! should do the next one in Slovakia or Albania 😂
I was hoping you’d stay local, thought you were heading to Great Yarmouth 😂 looked similar to be fair!
Jon Beer should be a repeat guest. Top guy
Thanks for teaching me what a stick of rock is. There is an old song by judge dread, where he uses a stick of rock as a euphemism.
That Troy Deeney edit cracked me up😂😂
I'm glad you were proved wrong about blackpool, to be fair the area you stayed is absolutely horrid but when you travel 5 mins away from that area its a nice place with good people those stats are probably the town centre alone... glad you had a good trip mate 👏
Blackpool crime rate is also higher then London but it also depends what area you go to also the popular english seaside rock sweets apparently come from Blackpool
This is GOLD !!
Give you guys a Victoria Cross EACH and a Knighthood.
From the many times ive been to blackpool I've never found the people who live their any more violent than in any other town. Most of the violence comes from the visitors who drink excessively and cause problems galore, especially in hot summer months.
Always liked hearing some djent in Away Days videos!
👏😀loved the video lads
Need to come to Gainsborough trinity! Not the best time 😂 but they do have the oldest stadium in the world used by one team! 😁
Big up the Mascot. That's class
Bloomfield Bear is fuarkin class mate
Come to the shay! Halifax town! Surely that one’s still on your list 😊
Absolutely based of the mascot to present a certificate. Nice stuff ellis!
I was sure I saw you when I walked out the games wish I would of stopped to talk now, us tangerines have some good fans
Congrats on your first game at Bloomfield Road 😂 when’s the Bradford vid??
You should do a series checking off the rest of the 92 stadiums
Funny how Blackpool wouldn’t even crack the top 20 in the U.S… St. Louis is 3x those numbers. Step up Brits!
1:20 best part of the whole video 😂😂
Did you applaud the goal?
"Yah hell of a finish" 😂😂 proper relegation moment
😂😂😂😂😂
"Bring in the violence"
*cuts to a guy wearing a light blue jumper with a polo underneath*
you guys are making me want to do the 92. These videos are awesome though!
Great to see me inspiring other creators again
The curtain pull back 😂😂
Great video
The funniest AwayDays video by far 😂😂
Love this episode dude- wow. Blackpool looks like a badass town. But hey thats coming from an American.
shithole
Problem is Blackpool is living in its past heydays, and times have changed
It looks like a shtty depressing version of Atlantic City. Never knew that was possible.
Looks like Jersey Shore
I grew up on the coast of Maine- I guess thats why burnt out coastal towns resonate with me :D@@shawnesgate9599
It's Great Yarmouth up north
Bet most of the violence is down to alcohol as it's a big stag and hen party location
There own fans arguing with their captain was jokes 🤣🤣
Maybe come to an Exeter home game!
You’ll love it! It’s about 10 times better and I’ll be there!
And they sell retro shirts in club shop
Exeter Fans Are Wild. Love It.
(waiting for you to come to euro 24)
I’ve been watching since the Aston Villa vs Norwich City 7 years ago
Class!
I would say Elias you should come down to Devon and watch the Argyle/Exeter derby but Exeter have to be playing the same division for that to happen
Or the Torquay Vs Exeter in which you can see another Torquay 4-1 win
Your pushing the envelope fella !
My dad was born in Liverpool, it was depressing when I visited there in the 80s though.
If you want to watch a football match in a dangerous town come to watch a San Telmo match in Isla Maciel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
15 minutes of a 20 minute video before a ball is even kicked! My favourite football channel!
Panionios is a Greek team and is playing on third devision. They used to be good and had an amazing youth facilities. Then didnt have money to carry on and they got relegated.
I was at burnley vs Blackpool last year and a blackpool fan came into a pub where the Burnley fans were allowed came in and attached people and then the blackpool guy got karma then got stabbed sadly tho he died but blackpool is super sketch near their stadium
I seen Exeter play twice one hole and away and fans were class both times
You’re right to say it’s a hole
That certificate is like the one I got for Wolfie when I did a stadium walk round with him
It’s probably mainly due to people going to Blackpool and getting pissed up !!
Come on the Pool, come on the pool! ❤️ Nice video
Hey away days! I’ve got a question….. where do you buy your football shirts? (Any one can response so please tell me any one😅)
I would imagine most problems would occur in the high season in Blackpool, you would get a lot of groups of lads out getting pissed up & from different parts of the country. Blackpool & Torquay are the biggest seaside resorts in Britain & are very busy between June -september,the rest of the year these are ghost towns with nothing much going on & most things are closed,I don't believe it's got much to do do with football.
Tell u what Ellis.. Out of all your vids I have never seen you smile as much. 😊😊😊😊... Great to see you had a wonderful time.. Blackpool is a cool place.. Is like Margate of the North... Plus that's not the best fish and chips. Bensons is.. So next time please try there.. Topman.. Good to see Ben back.. Get him on with the posh kid. Be a great trio... This channel is far better than thogden.. He bores me to death...
This actually might be your best video yet, the boys were fucking buzzing!
All time classic this one 😂😂
Mascot if you read this, LEGEND!
Thanks for visiting us Ellis UTMP 🍊🍊
Its all the drunk holiday makers causing crime,
I live in Norfolk before anyone starts 😂
I have been waiting 2 years for you to go to home park in plymouth,, oneday it will happen
That cinderella troy deeney edit was goated 😂😂
Is that bloke who started the red army chant wearing orange ? 😂
Great video, Blackpool however, me and my wife went in 2021 for 3 nights ,couldn't come home fast enough
Go to the Black Country Derby on Sunday!!! WBA vs Wolves, atmosphere will be amazing!
Got to like Blackpool it's
like the crap boozer that you went in because they would serve you when you are 15 .
Also had dodgy pool table .
Memories lol 😅
Blackpool's pop is 142,100 don't know where you got 620,000 from.
Critchley was a pioneer of the ‘manager fist pump to crowd’ to be fair.
Thought you’d come back to Selby for a sec
Stellar effort covering up the stick of rock 😂
instead of basing these experiences on the quality of football... Maybe more about stadium history and team history. Im in the states now and the more of the stadiums and teams u visit the better. Great videos watch every single one! I wrote this when u said the last few videos have been meh...
Ellis is a Grecian🔴⚪️
The Summerville chant xD
The last time I was in Blackpool there was a man outside in the car park smashing seagulls to death with a hatchet. He then proceeded to chase me and a couple people with the hatchet
