I really wish we had such platform for rescue where normal ambulance and heli can not land. Searching forests and landscapes, being able to transport patients and materials while having hands free on patients and conducting triage and other tasks would be so valuable.
I really want one of these. Keep the neighbor's dogs outta the yard, protect the house from burgurglars, cruise me and my tube down to the river for floatin', haul stuff around the yard, blowup the nasty blackberry bushes before they can take over, etc. Just too cool for words, Milrem!
@troll oracle I don't know about you, but here in India, 50 BMG or larger caliber HMG are used to provide long distance but fairly accurate fusillades on Pakistani bunkers in mountainous regions. In fact, that is the only time I have seen Indian Light Infantry units use HMGs at all. For most other purposes, they use MMG/GPMG.

I agree that 50 BMG won't penetrate bunkers and that grenade launchers are better against fortified positions. In Indian Army, Infantry soldiers tend to use Carl Gustav recoil-less rifles against fortifications. They are widely available across all 350 Light Infantry Battalions of Indian Army. This is despite the fact that these Infantry units also carry AGS 30 mm grenade launchers and 40 mm grenade launchers. On rarer occasions, Light Infantry Battalions also use their older sanctioned SALCOS ATGM like Milan 2T to target Pakistani bunkers that are out of range of Carl Gustavs. But this practice might reduce after the induction of newer, more expensive 3rd generation ATGM ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPATGM ).

Emps are not practical weapons at the moment,as no one wants to detonate a nuke in our atmosphere.
