Intro:
Drama. In the world of UA-cam, the word “drama” is typically used to refer to a conflict regarding a creator, or multiple creators at that. It’s a pretty central theme to the current content that I make on my channel, and is a focal point for multiple commentators alike. We tend to associate most drama with a more contemporary era of UA-cam, originating from the mid 2010s, spearheaded by many commentators, and really popularised by the Content Cop series, but drama has existed since the dawn of UA-cam. I remember all the way back in 2012, when I watched a lot of Call of Duty content, because, as always, I am a gamer, and there was a very renowned callout video uploaded which obtained well over a million views, and probably would have obtained many more if it had not been deleted. In an environment like that, that was hugely impressive.
However, with the constant manifestation of communities, and lack of real culture surrounding the nature of drama, with it more seeming like an unintended side effect, nothing ever seemed mould its way into UA-cam history, and we tend to reminisce about the early 2010s on UA-cam with the innocent nostalgia that we have since assigned to it. That’s not a facet that can be considered with commentary, and since its rise, every major conflict seems imprinted on this beautiful platform, for better and for worse.
Yet the sensation that drama provokes ever remains the same. It was still one of the most iconic feelings when that Call of Duty drama in 2012 was transpiring, it was a rush, someone being exposed, conflict within the community. The truth is plain, many creators, and audiences alike, thrive on drama, the appeal of it is indisputable, and as it has grown out of its reputation as a byproduct, and into its own genre, it becomes more powerful, and people feel less afraid to indulge their more dramatic side. On top of this, with the increased mobilisation of online communities, it has been granted additional consequential value that we can observe over the past few years.
One of the most noteworthy outcomes of this is “expose culture”, when a person makes strong or revelatory claims regarding another individual, and their behaviour, typically with the intent of depicting a character that had not been previously shown to the audience. You might find someone sitting quite sternly, glaring at the camera, before going into details of whatever they wish to disclose, or you might just see a neatly posted Twitlonger. The overarching message will tell you, this person isn’t who you thought they were, whether its mere business malpractice or something more sinister, there can be very real ramifications.
The mid 2010s weren’t just for sewing the seeds of drama, and commentary though. No, in fact many new genres rose to UA-cam prominence, one of those being mukbangs. Mukbang is another delightful portmanteau whose literal translation would be eatcast, with such information you can probably take a guess at what I’m referring to.
Yes, the videos where we have an individual consuming portions of food, often accompanied by them making casual chit-chat with the audience. It originated in South Korea at the end of 2000s, but only really caught fire in 2015, when a few larger channels began to pay attention to it. Since then we’ve seen a wave of creators all over the spectrum take part, either engaging in it as a side venture, or as their dedicated pursuit.
So we have drama, and mukbang, simultaneously emerging into the limelight… two, seemingly quite distinct genres, but what would you end up with, if you merged the two together…

That Stephanie "expose" he did is the absolute worst example of that type of video I've ever seen. You can't just talk for 90 minutes about the fact that you don't like her (especially due to the nature of her video), and the only evidence you provide is "Oh, also, my friends don't like her". Yeah, no shit.
Exactly her video was so much more well built, she included literal camera footage from her house, text messages between her and the other person involved in the situation and dissected it so well in her response to him
im going to be honest, i originally clicked on this video just to put on as background noise while i draw, but i found myself more and more enthralled in your video. its amazing that you took a topic that i wasn’t very interested in, put it into well edited, well researched and easily digestible chunks, that i then (by at most, halfway through the video) became very interested in a topic i originally would have brushed off. you really are a talented creator and don’t think all the hard work you put into videos like these go unnoticed! props to you!!

Seeing him being so happy in his early days with those collabs with other vegan creators is so heartbreaking
it reminds me of myself a little bit. I was in pretty good shape in my high school years, and i had a generally OK disposition. And then depression hit me like a ton of bricks. Junk food quickly became my best friend and i gained a ton of weight

Perhaps watching the dominion documentary that’s free on UA-cam would give you some insight as to why the term is quite fitting. Cows going through the entire slaughter process fully conscious or having their full term young cut out of them while they’re hanging before slaughter is quite gruesome/ but burying your head in the sand is always a good way to combat cognitive dissonance and using terminology as a way to argue against something morally superior also helps people cope with their actions..
@Donkerz Here's an ACTUAL argument as to why it's wrong: It clears forests to make farmland, far more so than animal agriculture does (you need more space for crops than animals), which theoretically does more harm to our atmosphere than animal farms ever could (Because if you chop down all the trees, the plant that absorbs the most CO2 on our planet, then there's nothing to effectively absorb CO2 and turn it back into oxygen). you also don't get the nutrients you need that you would get from a balanced omnivore diet, which often leads to being malnourished. That, and a good amount of vegans love to force their veganism onto their pets (IE their dogs), which leads to them being malnourished as well. the list goes on and on.

I personally am not vegan, but I am against factory farms, local butchers are fine though.
Aria Britton while some of these are valid points, you need to also keep in mind that more forests need to be cleared for raising cattle as well as all of the extra agricultural crops needed to feed those animals as well. If meat consumption went way down there wouldn’t be as much of a need to clear out so much extra forests for feeding crops + cattle. There are also new invocations being made in the fields of micro farming agriculture (such as micro greens) that are much more environmentally friendly to grow and use up much less water, energy and most importantly MUCH less land to grow.
Aria Britton it’s also not really fair to judge the entire philosophy of veganism based on the handful of misguided extremists who do things like force dogs and cats to be vegan. I’m well aware that those people exist and they are horrible, but they seem to be a rather small minority that tend to get more attention than vast majority of normal, level headed vegans precisely because their actions are so extreme they command so much attention.

There are still holocaust survivors alive who still have to cope with the trauma of going through such an event and are still separated from their families after all this time. Antisemitism and other forms of discrimination are still big issues, though things have improved since then.
I encourage you to do some research on the topic. It is a major event in history that I doubt will be forgotten or that people will stop caring about any time soon.

She stated she had been assaulted in her home. Nicks remark on “what was I going to do steal a lamp” just was a blow to her. She made a very clear big mark and he rolled around it. That man is absolutely insane and seriously needs to help.

It’s pretty much everything else that he does - the drama, the lies, breakdowns, overall disgusting behavior… I don’t know, just the amount of vitriol fat people get just for being fat saddens me sometimes. You can absolutely live on a vegan diet and be comfortable and healthy, without missing meat. But you have to educate yourself on nutrition, what your body needs and where and how to get it. I did a large project on veganism, the sport industry and how much more profitable and easy life would be for the planet if we would all go vegan. There are huge sport aces out in this world, influencers who document their vegan lifestyle while performing amazing in sports and shit.
I admire vegans who show the care and love our planet deserves. I don't count to the vegan popularity, I love animal products and will continue to eat them. But it is possible and even healthy to be vegan. You just have to do your research.
