Finally! I've been wondering about the pronunciation of "har." I'm American born and don't roll my Rs as part of my normal speaking. And in other videos about this meditation, it almost sounds like they're saying "hard" or "hart." So I've been going crazy wondering if I can just say "har" as I normally would in American English, or should I be trying to pronounce it in some other way. I'm so glad you explained about rolling the Rs. I'll have to practice doing that just to be able to say it easily but am glad to know this.
Salimah, I love your guidance of this meditation. I keep coming back to it as I enjoy the way you present it and feel myself more relaxed and at ease when I complete it earlier in the day. Could you make a full 11-minute version for the days where we have more time to practice?
I am wondering how many times does the sound Har should be repeated here? Is the number here important or is it the time that should be taken into consideration? Thank you for letting me to understand :)
Hi there good question. It’s the total time that is the focus in this meditation. Anywhere from 3 to max 11 minutes. Chant hat each time your strike the sides of your hands together.
