Hey watch it played, do you know of any star wars miniatures game that is similar to dust tactics in style. I already have x-wing but I want surface battles too.

Thanks for the clean explanation of the game. I was looking for another family-ish game (hehe) for 6+ players and this looked really cool and fun to play. Very easy to learn and easy to play. Thanks Geek & Sundry!

This is crazy, I saw a video with Matt Mercer so I decided to look around on here and here's Ivan! I remember watching Ivan on King of the Nerds with my mom, he was mine and my mom's favorite contestant from that season. It's so cool to see him doing videos! :D

This game was really fun, but very chaotic to learn if you've been drinking. Just a warning to other people that haven't played it yet.
    Great video Ivan!

Great video, well made and entertaining. Yet, it doesn’t explain what happens when there are 3+ players left (not eliminated) in the end....

I think you are early, but yes they do not get a lot.
Most people think it is a new episode of TableTop and when they see it is not, they stop watching.

La'roy Jnknz I think it's because the editing is annoying and Ivan is creepy.

The problem with the ambush card is that it's futile. If everyone agreed that a player had to be eliminated at all costs, then they can get a simple majority of votes on another player, and tell that player to ambush. If the victim follows the crowd, they can be killed by the ambusher. If not, they are killed for not following the majority vote.

year, he said there should only be one, two or zero suvivors. i guess when there are more surviving people they play another round?

  • @TheAgentTexas

Now the problem is trying to get people to play this game instead of that over played game mafia.

I like a good round of mafia, but here in germany we usually play the nearly identical game called werewolf.

Super shallow gameplay, one round game with "gold" added to give the feel that it's more than a single card played per game. Nope.

these videos arent worth the money you spend making them.

I don't think you understand the purpose of my comment. I didn't have trouble understanding the rules of the game I don't currently own, rather I was giving proper context for geek and sundry to understand that this style of video is horribly irrelevant to anyone who doesn't own the games they feature. They already have a tabletop boardgame show where they feature different board games, so a show just about learning the rules to some obscure game is a bit redundant to be featured in their programming. That's why I said they aren't worth the money the spend making these videos.

    • @faytail
      @faytail 7 років тому +5

Your comment wasn't really filled with any context what so ever.
And actually, it's so far from irrelevant to anyone who don't own the games. It's actually very relevant.
I watch these How to Play to find possible future board games I'll be buying. It's a short and easy way of getting introduced to new board games.
Also you have to remember that while they do indeed have Table Top.
      1. Those episodes are quite long (ranging between 30-50 min episode roughly, with two parters sometimes). Which makes it not the best thing to look through a afternoon if you're looking for possible board games to buy. Watching a bunch 3-10 min long videos is much easier and faster.
      2. Cause of how Table Top is set up, will a LOT of different board games never appear on the show. Too long games and too short games are example of games that rarely makes it to Table Top. But the length of the play time doesn't matter when it comes to How to Play. So that's not holding the choice of games back. He can show games that takes hours to play and games that takes minutes to play with no fear of having to fill out a full episode or keep it down to just one or two games that takes several episodes to play.
Just cause YOU find this series useless doesn't mean it actually isn't worth anything.
