It may be an unpopular opinion but for me they really screwed up this time. One of the best things that arma had was the advanced mode for helicopters in arma 3, which was actually quite realistic (best one I have found so far, and I'm a real helicopter pilot). The physics of the Huey (Praire fire) in A3 are just perfect. Now what i see is arma leting you do barrel rolls and stuff that any helicopter is miles away from being able to. To do this unrealistic things there were already enough arcade war games.
At the end of the day bro, nothings more annoying than taking the time to kit yourself out and wait for a squad, just to die to some idiot helicopter pilot. I can see where you’re coming from cause I prefer realism too, but I can also see where the devs are coming from
Hey to be fair, you can absolutely do barrel rolls in arma 3 aswell, any video games flight model can and will be abused by those with too much time on their hand. Though I do completely agree, reforger flight model feels like a step backwards. As somepeople have pointed out this is meant to be the in between/tech demo for arma 4, which makes the flight model even more concerning imo, I hope there is still a lot of work planned in regards to the flight model before arma 4, cause if this is what they see as the finished product, that kinda blows

Same This owner changes maps all the time and now server is dead I dont understand why he does that. Server was full af with Fallujah map. People loved to play this included me. Best map ive seen. But it seems the owner dont care how many people play on his server., I mean if i would be him i would keep the Fallujah map 24/7 but yh it is what it is
Unrealistic. The helicopter body is not strong enough to withstand the impact of the blades and continue to fly. At least the runners would be partially torn off and the skin would be torn off. What I mean is, it’s either at least a parody of realism, or an arcade game. In GTA 4, it was also possible to break the rotors with another helicopter or an obstacle. But if this is Armagh, then the physics must be appropriate.

Playing DCS-World and flying Huey over there aswell as the Mi8 .. And both Helos are really hard to master

Just here to tell you reforger is not the successor to A3. It’s just an in between till A4
Amen. the AFM in arma3 was bliss ♥ its one of the reasons i cant watch squad heli pilots, the flight model is just too pathetic

The helicopters aren't done yet, so maybe proper damage models might come around down the line.
Unfortunately... this is the kind of damage you cannot easily model without BeamNG level softbody physics.
