      @@lifebyjustin I earned my BS with WGU in HR Management, and now I will start the Masters in Management & Leadership. I am watching your videos again this week..... very helpful to me. I'm the type to get that initial writers block.......

      @@paulabradberry9943 Very cool. The leadership masters was one I was toying with but then went with the MEd instead (though, if I could back in time, I might have chosen the leadership MSc instead). I'll be curious to know how it goes and if it's worthwhile. Feel free to leave a comment on video sometime in the future to mention what you think of it

    Sounds like you should do the EdD at South College, it's the first CBE Doctorate

    I am the final year student. I got the lecture who is my academic supervisor. He holds four master degree. Master in commerce, education, business studies and philosophy. That's unbelievable achivement. No lecture in our campus have ever got four master degree. Learning never stops.

      Wow, four degrees is a lot! There's this quirky professor on UA-cam, Tara Brabazon, who talks about the ups and downs of going to grad school, along with strategies for navigating it. She's a hardcore learner and last time I looked her up on LinkedIn, she had finished like 4 or 5 master's degrees, a few postgrad diplomas, a PhD, 3 bachelor's degrees, and a bazillion certificates. Some people just love to keep learning I suppose !

    Congrats on your achievement, Justin! I have 4 master's degrees (MBA, management, corporate communication, and executive coaching and consulting). I studied at an accredited university in Spain because the tuition cost was significantly more affordable than the USA.

    Hi Justin 🙋‍♀, I have a question about the last master's you completed (Learning and Technology). Was that program a mix between OA and PA, or was it mostly Performance Assessment? Writing is my stronger point 😌. Thanks for you videos.

    • @lifebyjustin
      @lifebyjustin  Рік тому +2

      Hey Lita, thanks for the comment! During my time in the MEd in Learning and Technology at WGU, there were two objective assessments or tests, and the rest were performance assessments. Most of the performance assessments were academic papers, but there were also some that involved designing a visual presentation and creating a website in stages. So, the majority of assessments were PA-based.
      I am not sure if they are still running that program. My understanding was that they were sunsetting it and moving towards the Learner Experience Design masters only. But maybe you can still enroll into the Learning and Technology program; they just don't advertise it anymore. Hopefully, that helps!

      @@lifebyjustin Thanks for the reply. Yes it was helpful. When I looked on their website, they have a master's program called, "M.S. in Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology." I was thinking this was the same program you had completed. I'm going to investigate it some more, but I'm nervous about creating a website 😭😭😥.

    • @lifebyjustin
      @lifebyjustin  Рік тому

      @@NurseLita3541 Gotcha. The program I completed was older and different from the Learning Experience Design program. It probably had different courses and assessments. If I were to enroll, I would call an enrollment counselor at WGU and inquire about the assessments.
      My favorite part was the website! It wasn't meant to be too over-the-top, but it was a cool project.

    I can definitely relate. I also have 3. Masters in Management, Higher Ed, and HR Management. I recently completed an Ed.S and just defended my Ed.D. I too work in Higher Ed. We do it for us!
    I can say that when it comes up, I do get that look.
    Them: “You have a masters? In what?”
    Me”Yea, which one”.
    For me, I’m a lifelong learner…but the military fronted the bill.

      Congrats on defending a Ed.D. degree! That's a big accomplishment. I'm with you on the lifelong learning bang wagon. You are embodiment of that with many degrees under your belt!
      And great videos on your channel explaining the benefits of being educational funded through the Navy. Sounds like it afforded with many learning opportunities by giving you the space and resources needed to do them.

    No way not in nursing you can’t complete a BSN that quickly. But kudos to you. I’m entering my last term in the prelicensure nursing program w WGU and I will sooo glad to be done and over and I won’t be returning for the Masters. My experience has left much to be desired. But then again that’s nursing school perhaps it’s the burnout. No cohorts no lectures poorly instructed tasks. I need time away

      Nothing wrong with taking time away from school or putting a period to schooling. I get that. I've experienced burn out as well, and it can be a lot. Must be a good feeling knowing you're nearing the end of the nursing program. Congrats to that!
