    Can't remember when I have seen a Junior so comfortable with the puck under all situations. I was thinking of who it reminded me of that could almost be standing still and yet create space and or opportunity with checkers coming at you. Can't imagine he won't make the team right out of Junior. Thanks for this video. I'll try not to miss another Sweden game!

    Some Wings fans have this notion stuck in their head that ASP needs to work on his defensive game alot. I pay to watch SHL games and I keep telling them his defensive game is not an issue at all. The only thing he needs is a bit more size which can be fixed easily.
    You aren't bringing him up to play shut down. You're bringing him up to be an absolute offensive nightmare for opposing teams. He's also a rotating quarterback and that one of the best one timers I've seen from a defenseman.
    The kid could make a jump to the NHL next season. Whether it be opening night or mid way through the season. He has shown north american ice is not a problem for him.

      even then, we already have the guy who can mitigate ASP's size. His name is Simon Edvinsson, he was made to be the perfect partner for ASP.

    Can NOT wait to see how this kid plays in Grand Rapids. One season on NA ice before joining Seider and Edvinsson, and Detroit's D-core is going to be lovely

      @@gp2031 I wish he would, but I think it would be wise to see how he copes on the smaller pad in GR before the leap. You never know, he might bounce into the Wings before the end of next season.

      @@gp2031Certainly not as David said he still needs to work on his defensive game before being able to play a significant role for the Red Wings

    ASP fantasy card owners in HUT chose wisely lol. Dude started at an 85 OVR and is now sitting at a 91 after that hatty.

    Probably the closest prospect to Quinn Hughes since the 2019 draft year.
    This could fulfill that second line pairing RHD for LHD Edvinsson who is more of a blue line defender.
    PP QB is ASP's #1 priority being that right hand shot and speed to pinching in on the puck when opponents try to clear the puck.

    Just remember rafalski came into the league and then played himself right back out of it. Had to go to Sweden for a few years.Then finally came back when he was older. Small player similar skill set. Let's hope that that's not the case with this young kid. Red wings definitely need him now!

    • @BrentNinedorf
      @BrentNinedorf Місяць тому

      Would be OK if his lower end of possibilities is like Rafalski. Too bad he had back issues. Love Rafalski.

    time to come west young man. should go right to detroit in 25/26 but maybe a half year stint with GR. should stand out nicely with Seider and Edvinsson and the eventual fourth guy in the top two pairing. fun prospect who has more size than height which will help him. only scratching the surface here.

      What does that mean the right way? He is playing in Sweden for a reason bud.
      He is coming up next year. This over rip the prospects only works on goalies.

    • @mustus71
      @mustus71 Місяць тому +1

      @ let him get a season of North American hockey and get a call up here and there you already got seider. Or rush him like the oilers did with broberg. Quite frankly idgaf what y’all do. Rush him from the big ice then bud. He’s a smaller player too 🤷

    Wings had Ghost on the half wall to start last year and he went on a tear, i think they'd use ASP the same way not up top

    • @miketython8827
      @miketython8827 Місяць тому

      He would have more puck time and agency up top though. Being on the side would limit him more. I think he would create a bigger upgrade up top over Mo than on the wing over Cat or Raymond. My analogy would be that you wouldn't put Steph Curry in the corner and hope he gets open for a 3 when he can create so much more by handling the ball as much as possible

    • @dgwow
      @dgwow 21 день тому

      But who cares, we have Hutson who is better than all these guys (except Michkov), don't think you want two smallish similiar offensive defencemen. And we have no one like Reinbacher in the system, who will be perfect for Hutson.

      @Plastpackad Місяць тому

      well... Seider played one season in AHL and one in SHL before NHL and Raymond had one season in SHL before the big league. I'd rather see him grow a bit more before going to NHL. I think SHL is a better development league than AHL.

    I don't think prospects should be over ripened. That is a huge flaw of the detroit red wings and has been for years. I do however think that they should be ripened, just not over ripened ! So yeah, play it by ear in camp. Play in GR if necessary. As soon as he looks comfortable moves on to the n h l asap !!!

    If Detroit is a train wreck for this year and next season and finally gets some draft lottery luck. Detroit's future line-up could look like this in 2029-2030 season:
    Kasper Mckenna Raymond
    Mazur Larkin Buchelnikov
    Lombardi Danielson MBN
    Finnie Plante Kiiskinen
    N.D. Nilsson
    Edvidsson Seider
    Schaefer ASP
    Buium Tuomisto
    Wallinder
    Cossa
    Augustine

      With how Yzerman is working there's almost 0 chances that McKenna would be a Red Wing.. there's still a possibility this year for Eklund-Smith/Hensler but next year I don't see them being at that spot anyway..

    • @holliefitzzz
      @holliefitzzz Місяць тому +1

      mckenna has a sister who plays so hopefully a PWHL star of the future too. the only nhl/pwhl duo i know are the compher siblings, one of whom plays for wings of course
