Fight of the year is a tough one, you could honestly tie four them accept Curtis vs Allen. Strickland and dricus pushed each other really showing how good they both are. Jiri and rakic is one of the most exciting nerve wrecking fights I've ever seen. Max and gaethje needs no explanation. Poirier and Islam was just a banger, really made me put respect on islam's name taking it to Dustin at his own game.

Ko of the yr so far is alex v jiri 2... no one has EVER shut that man down. No matter what he did it was met with a left hook, calf kick, or squat jab. Knocks him out at the end of r1. Polishes him off in r2. Plus all the talk of black magic made it even better.
Another reason I agree is because a lot of people thought that this fight was never going to happen (myself included); even though everyone wanted to see the rematch. People thought that Alex would defend against Hill at 300, and then lose to Ankaliev. But the MMA Gods graced us by braking Conner's toe.

Now all of a sudden he's khabib. Everyone has forgotten jones last 3 wins against those guys and how horrible he looked. Alex is constantly improving on his takedown skills and as long as it takes jones to actually fight, by time he's ready to fight alex, alex would be more than ready to fight him
Gaethje vs Holloway is better in my opinion, but that is a great pick. Pereira managed to beat him that easily after everybody thought the last fight was an early stoppage and that Jiri wouldn't lose that easily if the stoppage wasn't bad, but then he got dominated in their second fight...It was insane. But I'm worried about Jiri in his next fights...He might turn out like Tony Ferguson. He got knocked out TWICE in the same fight, he could have taken too much damage.
