C. G. Lilly - Twilight Desert Sky (20250125)

I just wanted to do a video of part of my journey to relearn how to play piano over. I haven't played one since 2006 (started Dec 2004) and had a stroke in 2022 which left me partially paralyzed (left side) so I had to relearn how to do pretty much everything all over again, without medical assistance so it was an uphill struggle for me and my wife. I was concerned that I wouldn't remember anything but I do remember some things I learned way back then but it has not been easy really. I'm not all that confident yet playing like I am on Delilah (my custom Schecter guitar). The fluency is definitely not there but for starting back out, I'm feeling pretty good about that. It's been 3 weeks of my just practicing, writing, and recording some things...and doing final processing on Still Fighting, an album I am releasing. I know (based on experience) that when I practice and work on something, I improve and usually more than I anticipate so that to me is something I look very much forward too on this piano. Until then, I will continue writing based on what I feel (generally chill on the piano) and will most-likely continue putting out imperfect videos of my learning journey. I did this on the fly based on ideas I had in my head and I wanted to see if I could feel my way like I do when playing other instruments. Anyhoo....hope you piano lovers out there who like chill (hybrid classical / easy listening, kinda like dramatic soundtrack type) piano enjoy this tune....feel free to subscribe and share to keep the dream alive.
