    With its strikingly robust design featuring a crown-less case, the stop2go watch encapsulates the true essence of the iconic Swiss Railways station clock. The classic white dial and 41 mm brushed stainless steel case are paired with a black vegan grape leather strap. Equipped with the exclusive and unique Swiss Made stop2go movement resembling that of the Swiss Railways clock it showcases a 2-second time stop. The watch also features the patented BackLight technology that lets the underside of the hands glow and allows the time to be read in darkness. The watch comes with a time setting pen to easily adjust time and align hands.

    Some clarifications on the origin of this watch. As correctly stated, this is the official railway station clock for the Swiss Federal Railways and can be found in every railway station in Switzerland. SBB CFF FFS references the names in the three official languages in Switzerland. SBB = Schweizerische Bundesbahnen in German, CFF = Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses in French, and last but not least, FFS = Ferrovie federali svizzere in Italian. All the same company. And yes, I know there is a fourt official language in Switzerland, its Romansh. Greetings from a Swiss residing currently in Texas.

    Very good design, love it. Simple and elegant, with a touch of fun. 250 bucks is not bad, cause the quartz movement has the wow factor. I am seriously considering buying one of these. No one in Montana will know the origin of the design, but it will make a slick conversation starter. Fantastic revue, thanks!

      If you're looking at the quartz swiss watches for less than $300 I'd suggest Tissot, over something like this. You can get much better looking Tissots for the price as well. Or even look at some cheaper brand automatics. Throwing $250 on a quartz watch that doesn't look any better than a timex easy reader is crazy.

      @@figodwnnieto2581 I'm guessing the Stop2Go would be more like $700, This is like no other watch and has that iconic look. I would really like one of these, I can't think of any other affordable quartz model I can say that about

    Always found this watch interesting since I learned of it from Ablogtowatch 6 years ago or so. Mondaine makes other versions of this style, but, I would want this stop2go version to mimic the Swiss railway clocks it was designed after. I was also inspired by the backlit line on the handset I did a mod on one of my Seiko Presage watches to initiate that effect. Worked pretty good, too. I blue colored the handset while I applied bgw9 style lume on the handset backside. So, it lumed a blue outline glow around the handset over a white enamel dial. Very cool get around having what looks like no good place to lume at least the handset and keep the original look in the daytime.

    Have a Simply Elegant quartz model, 41mm white dial, milanese strap, sapphire - ultra thin .
    The back case is bevelled so the watch sinks into the wrist and seems even thinner still.
    Gets more admiring glances than any other of my watches - style, unique and under £300.
    You could read the time on this huge clean dial (minimum bezel) from the moon !

    Strange to think that the seconds hand on a Stop-2-Go must take 58 seconds to rotate from 12 to 12, as it then pauses there for 2 seconds.
    So it must be always inaccurate, apart from when it is on the very point of leaving the 12.
    I think the station clocks were all linked by cable to synchronise the seconds hand restart.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  9 днів тому

      Technically yes as every second on the dial is really 1.03 , So a difference of .03 which is about the same time it takes to blink. Yeah I think I say in the video the rail clocks were synchronised by a master clock and reset with a pulse at 12 which is were the pause comes from 👍🏻

    • @palemale2501
      @palemale2501 9 днів тому +1

      @@ClickSpringReview No biggy but every second on the dial is 0.97 seconds - so the error accumulates during the rotation up to it reading a maximum of 2 seconds early, on arriving at 12.
      Just a strange thought that a super accurate clock is actually inaccurate 97% of the time lol.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  9 днів тому

      I wouldn't say it's supposed to be super accurate quartz model Sir , I didn't get to test it, I find many quartz models are only good to 5 or 10 seconds a month. I do have a COSC rated quartz model and thats good for 10s or less a year

    • @palemale2501

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  9 днів тому

      All I mean is when you check your watch you never say its 7:15 and 24s and when you meet somebody at say 7 o'clock its 7 o'clock and not 7:00 and X seconds. When checking you watch you need a month really 👍🏻 PS my Seiko Tuna is pretty good for around 20/10s a years but others I have do that a month

    Terrific watch. But...
    This is a quartz watch which loses 1.5 seconds EVERY minute. How does it make up that time? DOES it make up that time?
    I've got a G--Shock which I didn't have to correct for more than two months.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  12 днів тому

      If you watch the second hand it ticks faster thats why it can holds at the 12 o'clock so it doesnt loss any time Sir , Most G shocks are radio controlled so should be prefect

    • @marcusrodriguez9992
      @marcusrodriguez9992 12 днів тому +1

      I actually wondered this myself so I timed the Mondaine with a chronograph during this video for 30 seconds which turned out to be 29.25 seconds on my chronograph. Therefore for every minute of elapsed time the second hand on this watch is actually ticking 58.5 “ticks”, not 60 as every other watch. Although the movement is certainly unique and fun to show off, I wouldn’t use it to accurately measure the elapsed time of anything under 60 seconds as you would have to adjust for the 1.5 seconds differential between this watch and every other. My brain hurts.

      Yeah its a very cool system as you say it get round the dial in about 58s and then holes, so you can only time things to the minute. Its true it does take a bit of getting used to I guess thats way in time setting it goes to straight to 12 o'clock

    I always liked these watches cheap and iconic, sadly without a crown seems a bit of a gimmick, to much fluffing around just to set the time, its a no from me.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  11 днів тому +1

      They used to have a sort off crown but this is more in keeping with the original design clock, you only have to set the time twice and a year and with this is a real joy use Alan

  • @wtfmrb293
    @wtfmrb293 12 днів тому

    Don’t like it. Kinda gimmicky isn’t it. The setting of the time. What happens if you don’t have the tool. Will a pen work just as well. 30m wr is a big no as well.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  11 днів тому

      A pen or anything like that would work plus you only have to set it twice a year and its so much easier than having to wait for the second hand to reach 12 o'clock like on every other watch out there 👍🏻
