Brings back some wonderful memories. My father was a grader operator for our rural parish (county) in Louisiana. Later he became the parish road manager. When he graded the roads i would ride with him on the grader. Today that wouldn’t be possible. I was 11 years old when he let me operate the grader. My father passed away in 2011. Every Time I see a grader in think about him.
WET / SLICK / SLIMY Looks like MUCK from Minnesota Swamp land township roads, [ JUST SOME "BIG" ( ARE THOSE CYPRESS ) TREES ] we don't have up here. Seems to be some magnificent trees for logging from what we saw in the rain. BE SAFE - GET THEM CHIPS FLYING 😍😍😍
That bridge oughta do just fine , only half a load on it at a time .Two flatbeds and two straight truck beds , yall bad as us lol . Thanks Tim .Have a gudun .
Tim, that was great directives you gave to the truckers, the bridge flexed very little on each side of the interior bent. Also, the columns and the bent looked like they held strong. Some 4" minus rock on the road surface would work nice. Thanks for the video! ....13
HI CT there should've been ties put under that be 4 the trucks are off the bridge there should've been I beams put under the bridge it would've been better and they would whole more weight 😮😊 OMG 7 17 2O23
If you have to bridge alot of creeks look into a Bailey Bridge they can be assembled really quickly. The military uses them to span wide spots. According to google the can be used to span up to 100ft. they came in 10 foot sections that 6 men can lift.
Good afternoon. Push comes to shove. Could ya'll take saw an cut a log then put it underneath where you were standing while talking to one of the drivers. Itd cushion a lil bit on the ends. Just my opinion. Have a good day.
Great video Tim. Just wondering. Would guardrails be a good idea on that bridge? Something like one log high on each side to keep from sliding off. That would be a bad day. Later
Tim maybe a center pull hitch on your vehicles might help with a pull out or even three pull points on the front will help pulling vehicles back onto the road
Looks like the rain is messing with you too!! I am not sure if you knew this, but you can send an invoice through paypal via email to anyone- they do not have to belong to paypal. They would then have the option to pay with check or credit card. Hope this info makes life easier for you!!
Tim I was thinking about the bridge if you put a truss handrail on it it would strengthen it up and it wouldn't bow in the middle something to think about good luck

Your videos are always great, but this was one of the best of logging/construction I've seen on UA-cam.

Love the song in the beginning! and great video gotta love them peterbilts!
Caution, caution bridge performs well. Nice job on a raw road, Cheers!
Always a different challenge every day when you work in the elements. Great content as usual,Tim.
I hope it dries up for you down there. The bridge looks good. I hope no one goes over the side.
Old school music to start video. Lol Tim was jamming.
This is a very important safety video for the drivers! Driving 300 80,000 pound truck’s across the bridge would be interesting.
Great Video Tim, Look's just like an ice skating rink of mud, Have a great day Tim..
Mud mud all a part of working in the woods good video tim enjoyed watching hope you are having a great Sunday
The rain alway wins. Cool video as usual 👍
Good job getting the trucks out that bridge may be a problem before this job is all finished

I'm looking forward to seeing the bridge install footage. That was my first thought that I'd really like to see that too.
I like your video's ,brings back the stories my dad told me when he cut timber
At least you always have something handy to pull those heavy service trucks out.

That stuff slicker than quail snot
Looks like that bridge is a 50ft tractor trailer made that's pretty cool
Good video
need the CT3 branded box of mud, just add a little rain! Without the heavy equipment there, I'd think chains might be the only thing to save you.
good morning Tim.
Cool!
how come you dont close the grapple around the cable it would help with the sway when pulling?
I’ve waited a long time to hear someone say what you just did about tires not making a measurable difference in those kinds of conditions.

What about a rock crossing,? Don't know cost ratio or what Creek bottom is like. Definite pucker factor crossing that.

You can get a piece of like railroad iron and drive on each side of the bride to keep it from moving side to side
Tim I was thinking about the bridge if you put a truss handrail on it it would strengthen it up and it wouldn't bow in the middle something to think about good luck
Not sure why they didn't put in a big pipe and fill in around it instead of the bridge?
My dad would call that gumbo mud when I was growing up.
Cotton maybe if u would have hooked your chains down lower coming from the skidder would’ve pulled more level
OMG. NOT EVEN A FLEX
hi from norway
who,s bridge is it
When you say "raw" road, you really mean it. A steak that raw would still be mooing.
looks like they need a few truck loads of 4" crushed rock on the (road)?
You can run anything, I didn't see it move in the video.
Wonder what the driver was pointing at? Tim just said i know, i know
Sand, you need sand on the roads
Old flatbed trailer
Chad aka useless thinks he's cool in a GMC truck
