He lead with the arm and it hit his arm, not the head or shoulder- the same arm that he pushed in front of a defender who would have headed it away had he not used his arm. So I'd be annoyed if it was given
@@kicka11 remember two seasons ago against Brentford- the ball hit wilson further up the arm and he knocked it down, scored and it was disallowed- I can't understand the fuss.
Usually I generally agree with you guys!… but that’s exactly what VAR is for. You might have an issue with the definition of hand ball but this is the correct application of the law… you can’t subjectively choose to ignore it when it’s an injury time winner. The officials have to take the emotion out of it… and apply the rules whenever it happens.
VAR intervenes because the ref could nit physically have seen through two bodies to see that it hit the strikers arm. It went straight into the goal off his arm - whuch us hand ball. You can't score directly iff your arm. How is that decision controversial?
It was a handball, just read the rules. If a ball hits the arm (bicep) even accidentally and goes directly into the goal then it's a foul. Also Newcastle had 60.7% possession away to a very good side and got a draw, so why all the doom and gloom?
The goal was chalked off because it was handball. Clearly his head was nowhere near the ball, his arm was all over Burn (I think) impacting his ability to jump
Outrageous comment, Jolinton is one of our most consistent players, but guys 3 of 10 is ridiculous he did not have a good game very rear for big Jo he was maybe a 5
He guided the goal in by his bicep, which I always thought was ‘handball’. Jo didn’t play well and dallied far too many times in dangerous positions. Pope is a great shot stopper but his kicking was worse than usual and must worry his defenders. Toon for most of the game were not pressing either at all or not as effectively as Bournemouth (pronounced Bornmuth by those that live there) Very lucky point but if we beat them at SJP we will gain 3 points vis a vis last season.
Usually in agreement with you guys but being in the stadium and not seeing the replays means you haven’t been able to see what we’ve seen, same for Howe’s comments. VAR was right. That was a handball. You’ll see it soon too.
You need to check out the handball rule lads! Anything level and below the armpit is handball and correctly chalked off! You seem to be going down the Talksport route by winding up your target audience to encourage interaction?
Yes. He gives an utterly bizarre argument here. He says that by the letter of the law it's a handball, but it shouldn't be and it's 'against football' because it will upset the Bournemouth fans because they thought they had a last minute winner. That's literally mental.
Murphy and Longstaff both scapegoated for the poor performance of others when they got hauled off. Gordon was a blunt, bland flaneur. JoeLinton just wanted to arm wrestle everyone and Bruno seemed to be crushed by the intolerable weight of captaincy. We looked so much better with Willock running in the midfield. It pulled BFC out of shape and gave room for Barnsey to flourish.
If I was a Bournemouth fan, I’d be frustrated, but I believe the ball hit his outer bicep and was a handball. Joelinton should be benched for a week for the hit on Neto. Great job by the subs this week, especially Barnes and Trippier.
If Newcastle scored the disallowed attempt you might want it to be a goal, but in this day and age you can’t give goals for attempts that are factual handball. Handball
From mins 15-65 it was nothing like the performance of a club aiming for Europe. They looked so off it, for the second week going. They play so much better by being aggressive and front footed.
In soccer, a handball occurs when a player uses their arm or hand to illegally handle the ball. This includes the player's fingers, arm, or upper boundary of the arm, which is in line with the bottom of their armpit upper boundry under the armpit was where it hit

Hope not because who's going to get more of a tune out of players like Murphy, Kraft, and all the other avarage players we have than Howe? You've got to realise this is a team full of players that we had in our relegation seasons under Bruce, with a handful of talented players but not many.@@juliogeordio7358
Trippier, Barnes, Hall, Willock and the ref got us out of jail. We shouldn't be playing out from the back because we haven't got tthe keeper, full backs or centre halves to do that without Schar and Botman. Only Trippier has a basic understanding of that style.
Barnes had a good performance but he is no better than Ryan Fraser on a good day. Anthony Gordon didn't look happy to me. His celebration was very muted.
Prime Ryan Fraser was brilliant
Sean Longstaff is one of the worst players I've ever seen play for the club. I'll now be insulted and told he runs around alot, but Newcastle need to wake up. Joelinton and and Guimareas are litterally on thier own.

petty as fuck
100% hit his shoulder.
Absolutely ohsyically impossible for that ball to fly in if it his his arm.
Usually in agreement with you guys but being in the stadium and not seeing the replays means you haven’t been able to see what we’ve seen, same for Howe’s comments. VAR was right. That was a handball. You’ll see it soon too.
