About the composition:
With this one the musical idea came first. I was just playing around with one of my favorite musical concepts: the polyrhythm 3 against 2. I wrote the first chords bouncing around each other and realized that the sound was like a musical idea I had already written down, which was "droplets in a puddle".
From there I continued to add the melody and some extra gorgeous chord progressions. My personal favorite chords go from 0:39 to 1:07 ( I definitely will be using these in a different song soon). Other than that I put the rest together from there.
Oh I almost forgot the extra ringing sound. That sound was made using a violin and a lot of reverb added on to it. It almost didn't make it in because I kind of liked the idea of another plain piano piece. I debated adding that instrument and a pizzicato upright bass, but decided I could keep it a nice piano piece with the extra spacey rings for depth
