Fantastic video. Cheers for sharing. I did this run 20 years while my teenage son was skiing on Mannlichen. It scared the life out of me as I was the only one on the mountain and the bad weather started to come in. I was so relieved to make it down in one piece. There are loads of other good sledge runs in the area too, and we did a night time run from Bussalp. Happy memories. Thanks for rekindling them😊
you should definatelly do this next season! also the "Holenstein" trail from Männlichen it's worth it, much faster, more fun. :) check out one of our latest videos and thank you too for your kindly response!
@@patrikfusko Thanks for the tip. 😉 Not sure if I would dare doing Holenstein trail as we sled with a toddler and fast is not what we’re currently want from the sled trails. 😀 We did Eiger run few years ago (before having a kid) and was brutal. 🙉
Thx for the great video guys. I used to go skiing there sometimes, but I decided sledging/schlitteln is much more fun after watching this video and less hassle with renting ski's etc.
you could also sledge from first to grindelwald, without any hiking,.. but form first to faulhorn takes about 2 hours minimum I always hiked, from Bussalp..there you can get from Grindelwald by taking bus, which is cheapier as taking cable car to first, but the hike to faulhorn takes minumum 2 hours.. depends on your physique check out the never video of this run o my channel in 4K!!
thanks.. I also do have newer video of this run on my channel in better quality and4k, if you want, just check it out =) and yeah End of January, should be around best time to go there!!
@@patrikfusko how long did it take to go from Bussalp to Faulhorn? I am going to to Interlaken in a few days and would love to do this. I am going to Bussalp with my girlfriend and would love to do the sledge run and have a nice view. I heard the view from Faulhorn is the best but that is like 2 hours walking from Bussalp, do you have any recomendations that don’t require a long walk but have a phenominal view? Btw, I appreciate your response, thank you!
@@ImTheWhizL yeah its about 2 hours.. Or you could hike from Grindelwald First to Faulhorn and then sledge down to Bussalp.. This is good alternative.. On website you can also check if the trail is open, also good for chcecking the how snow conditions are

Hello, did you go with cable car or you had to walk?
Awesome ride!! Could you tell me how far is the walk from the First station till the sledding starting point?

Where did you rent the sled? I'm going to Grindelwald next week, will try this route 😊
Dope!!!
How did you get up there easily with your sledge?
From Bussalp on our feet.. 1000m gain height.. From Grindelwald First is it shorter only about 500 gain metres.. but more frequent..
