I think that this was Loki one true unselfish act! He did this in order to save the people that he cared about! Now I wonder will he get tired of just sitting their, watching, preserving and protecting the multiverse timelines. Just like "He Who Remains" got tired of doing that same job for millinium!! Also " He Who Remains" got exactly what he wanted for Loki to take the Throne!

I absolutely love how they adapted Loki's God of Stories arc from the comics. It's so well done. And the thing is that while He Who Remains held the multiverse together (or rather just the Sacred Timeline) by using time, Loki does it by using stories. He's weaving together the Tree of Life/Yggdrasil/multiverse by taking all those threads of timelines that, to him, are stories and bending them to his will. Also, I think that the TVA's purpose now is to track down and keep an eye on all the Kang variants, not pruning timelines.

To me, idc if this is right or wrong, any & all mcu movies or shows to come. In the back of my mind while watching, I’ll be thinking “don’t worry loki, is watching over everything” & no matter what happens in the movie/show I’ll feel at peace knowing Loki is watching over it all

I was very sad myself, realizing Loki, after coming so far, found friends, and love, chose to save them all, and universes, and be all alone. I can't accept we won't see him again, and someday finally reunite with Thor. And I loved Mobius, Loki's first true friend and partner. Beautifully done series, in every way.

Ravonna was sent to The Void after being pruned and Alioth is coming for her.
Sylvie gets to go wherever as she pleases and not be on the run.
Mobius doesn't seem to feel at home at the TVA or in his place on the timeline. Content in the moment to just feel time passing. Loki made sure it would be his own decision as to which direction his life goes from here. Maybe a brand new one. Loki heard him say 'let time pass' and smiled.
The newly revived timelines ended up forming into the shape of The Tree of Life from Norse mythology. All the branches are growing upward. Like branches on a tree.

Best show of the MCU by far. Possibly one of the best MCU properties to date. Right up there with Endgame.
Best character progression in the MCU. From 1-off villain to charismatic returning character to THE LORD OF ALL FREAKIN TIME. And earning it every step of the way. Credit to Tom Hiddleston. This would have been a 1-movie character if not for him being as good as he has been from the start.

This was an outstanding season. Using a reversed Marvel Studios logo to begin Loki Season 2, Episode 6 was creative and symbolic. It was a way of foreshadowing the chaotic and unpredictable nature of the episode, as well as the season's more prominent themes. The logo was also used to represent Loki's journey throughout the series. He'd always been an outcast, never fitting in. In Season 2, he was forced to confront his chaotic nature and how he harmed others. The ending of Season 2, Episode 4, was replayed from various perspectives in Episode 6. This was an ingenious way of demonstrating how events can unfold differently depending on the observer's point of view. It also showed that Loki's time-traveling abilities were becoming more unpredictable. Season 2, Episode 4's ending was replayed from various perspectives in Episode 6.
He Who Remains tells Loki that all Lokis will fail no matter what he does. Lokis are chaotic beings who constantly try to break the rules and subvert the status quo. He Who Remains also informs Loki that the multiverse war is unavoidable and that he is the only one who can end it. This is due to Loki's unique nature as a god and a trickster. He can see the world from various perspectives and is unafraid to question authority. Finally, Loki disproves He Who Remains. He chooses to save the multiverse even if it means risking failure. This demonstrates that Loki is not doomed to failure and can decide his fate. It's a solid and essential message. It reminds us that we are not helpless victims of our circumstances. We can shape our fate, even if it means going against the odds. Loki is prompted to visit Mobius in Loki season 1, episode 1, because he wants to know what it is like to be a Loki. He wants to know why he is doomed to fail and what he can do to change his fate. It's interesting to see how Loki's views on the TVA and the multiverse have evolved since season one. Loki was suspicious of the TVA in season one, believing they were attempting to control the timeline. However, Loki realizes in season 2 that the TVA is required to prevent a multiverse war.
The scene also serves as a reminder of Loki's character development. Loki was arrogant and selfish in season one. On the other hand, Loki is more humble and compassionate in season 2. He is willing to give up his life for the greater good.
He Who Remains said "See you soon" a few times. This could be interpreted as a foreshadowing of the creation of various Kang types, in keeping with the episode's broader themes of reality, free will, and destiny. The number of times He Who Remains said, "See you soon," can now be used to predict the appearance of multiple Kang variants. This is an extraordinarily clever and subtle way of hinting at the MCU's future, adding a new layer of meaning to the episode.
The fact that the Season 1 premiere and the Season 2 finale are titled "Glorious Purpose" is a clever way of setting up the scene in the Time Theater where Loki visits Mobius. It suggests that Loki's journey is circular and that he is constantly learning and growing. Loki's return to where he began his journey is also significant. It demonstrates that Loki has come full circle and is now prepared to face his fate, whatever it may be. In the Time Theater, Loki's visit to Mobius is a well-written and well-acted scene. It's a pivotal moment in Loki's character arc and an emotionally and visually powerful scene.
Loki gets a new outfit that alludes to his past, present, and future. His new look combines his traditional green and gold costume, TVA prisoner uniform, and Sylvie's black and green ensemble. The green and gold represent his past as a trickster god and a villain. The TVA uniform represents his current situation as a TVA prisoner and his journey to redemption. Sylvie's black and green ensemble symbolizes his future as a hero and leader. Loki's new outfit is a complex and visually stunning representation of his character arc throughout the series. It represents his development, transformation, and potential. Loki's transformation into the God of Stories is also a metaphor for storytelling's power. Loki's journey to become the God of Stories reminds us that we all can tell our stories and shape our destinies.
At the end of the episode, Loki is shown sitting on a throne in the middle of a vast expanse of branches. These branches represent Yggdrasil, a massive tree connecting all nine Norse mythology realms. The Yggdrasil reference is a necessary and satisfying progression in Loki's character arc. It describes his acceptance of his new role and responsibility in protecting the multiverse. It also serves as a reminder of Loki's transformation into a hero.
Mobius telling B-15 that they encountered a Kang variant in a 616-adjacent realm alludes to the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. This is an ingenious way to link the two projects while hinting at the MCU's future. I'm excited to see how the Kang storyline develops. Kang's mention is a more significant trend linking the various MCU projects. This trend will likely continue as Marvel Studios prepares for a powerful Kang-centered storyline. He's an intriguing and complex character with the potential to become one of the MCU's greatest villains.
The title "Glorious Purpose" is perfect for Loki Season 2 Episode 6. It pays homage to the series' first episode by focusing on Loki's journey of self-discovery and redemption. Loki believes his glorious purpose in the first season is to enslave those he considers beneath him. He considers himself superior and believes he has the right to rule over others. By the end of the season, Loki has realized that his true purpose in life is to help others. He has learned that everyone deserves respect and that using his powers for good is his responsibility.
Loki finally accepted his glorious purpose in the second season's sixth episode. He is now the multiverse's protector and willing to give up everything to keep it safe. He's come full circle and is a better person as a result. Using the title "Glorious Purpose" again is a unique and significant way to conclude Loki's second season. It serves as a reminder of Loki's journey and a promise of more.

    @Married2theReal,
11:50 This story right here, just explained Sylvie's story! Ravonna was sent to prune Sylvie because of something she would some day do, the thing she did at the end of season one, and the last few minutes reminded us of, killing HWR and dooming all of life everywhere!
Sylvie did what she did because she wanted revenge and she wanted freewill, but all of these Phase Four stories have made one thing very, very clear: no matter a character's story, their story is the same as their variants because all universes in the Multiverse rhyme! We saw it with the Doctor Strange, Peter Parker, Wanda Maximoff and even the numerous Spider-Man Variants and villains in the Spider-Verse movies. It wouldn't have mattered if the TVA waited until the moment Sylvie was supposed to do because she was always going to do, as this story showed.
Her pain and selfishness is a critical part of her character development as the Battle for New York was for Loki--it has to happen, it had to happen.
14:16 That's his story, and it was foreshadowed last season with Classic Loki; he spent eons in solitude, and he got pruned because he eventually wanted to see his brother. Universes in the Multiverse rhyme.
16:34 the God of Stories. Loki has the ability to rewrite the stories, and we just watched him rewrite season one and the last episode. Before this story ends, we'll see that he rewrote D90's story, Mobius' story, the TVA's story and Sylvie's too--we don't see Dox and her team, but if he rewrote the other stories, he probably rewrote theirs too.
18:12 They aren't on their way; they are already here! HWR confirmed that, as did Quantumania.
20:09 Alioth is the guard dog, blocking passage to the Citadel at the End of Time, which is where Loki now sits. Alioth's domain is the void, and that's where Ravonna is.
20:22 She and that version of the TVA are out! She was HWR's right hand. Loki aims to do something different. I think Loki, and all of us really, are going to find out that HWR isn't the bad guy we think he is, and I think his conversation with Loki proved that. HWR already faced the Problem Loki was going through and he tried, and tried to save all of the branches and couldn't. What he could save were the roots, and that's what he wove together with his loom. The TVA and his loom were designed to protect the only thing HWR could save, the Sacred Timeline, all of the universes that are the original parts of the Multiverse. Even though HWR couldn't save the Branched Timelines, he didn't let all of those lives die, he brought them to the TVA and made him his agents to protect all of time along side him. HWR cared so much for time, that he removed himself from it, his variants save for Victor since he lived in an era that wouldn't allow him to become what the others would.
Loki succeeds in doing more than what HWR could because he is a god, but is this truly his end? Loki's solution is based on the information he was able to gather from the known universe, what happens when he gets infinite knowledge from all the branching other universes? Kang became Kang because of his shared knowledge with all his variants.
20:45 This is a happy ending for Mobius. His wife is still gone, but his family isn't broken. Look in his garage, there's only one personal watercraft.
21:52 He's with everyone. He gets to see all of them every chance he gets, kind of like Heimdall.
This was epic! I hope Thor gets a send of like this when his time comes. This will be very hard to top, but I certainly hope they try! I want Thor to see his brother one last time.

I HATE when people say, "MCU died after Endgame," when they have been complaining about the MCU since the beginning. They complained about Thor being funny when THEY WANTED HIM TO BE LESS SERIOUS AFTER THE FIRST! They crapped on Iron Man 3, etc. It's not the MCU that's changed. it's the mindset of the fans that are mad cause it's no longer about Cap or Iron Man. If it's not about a straight white male, they'll say it's pandering and woke and "forced".

It’s subtle, but one of my favorite part is when Loki is doing the perfect pep talk to Victor when trying to “fix” the loom. It shows that he’s starting to take his place as a “nurturer”. During the whole two seasons, he barely took things into his hands, leaving other do their specialties.
Also, in a way, yeah, he can’t interact with them, but he’s not quite alone. He *know* what his friends do/experience. And he knows they are living better lives now. And he’s damn well making sure they will continue to.

I'm not complete unless i watch one of your reactions and Tre going "Oh SHITTTT"
As far is I understood it, that scene with Renslayer was written in a way to show that the old tva and those attached to its old ways will now be devoured out of existence by Alioth to make way for a fresh start, a new tva. However, it can be also be possible that Renslayer tames Alioth somehow. I still think the writing implied the former though!
Loki basically created Yggdrasil and perhaps at some point, Yggdrasil trembles (Kang Dynasty) and it warns Loki Who Remains of an impending multiversal Ragnarok. The new TVA currently allows branches to grow and their goal is to prune only Kang variants that may cause issues. At some point though, they likely won't be able to keep up.
A last thing to note though as well - Since the new TVA lets branches grow and flourish, Loki's file no longer has to end at Thanos. Lokis across many new branches may have more stories that lead to new paths and I'm sure Loki Who Remains has probably monitored several where Loki eventually reunites with Thor :]

Like I was with everyone else seeing if each time it would work out for Victor, but when he finally did it, and then OB said they increased the scale, I was like “no, you can’t do that, because the branches are forever multiplying and growing.” And then Timely said they’re expanding indefinitely. I’m no genius, trust me, but they are. For them to fix the problem they would have to make a scale that grows with the multiplying and growing branches. It’s weird because when I’m watching things like this or The Flash, everything they explain, actually makes sense to me.😂

“Idk how they can top this” I think that’s the problem a lot of ppl are having w the MCU & the MCU itself is messing up. Not everything has to be topped, not every show & movie has to be a competition to see which was better. It doesn’t always have to be BIGGER & more grand
Appreciate the movies & shows for what they are (unless it’s terrible) & enjoy the ride. MCU fan’s expectations are set WAYYYY too high, expect disappointment & you’ll never be disappointed, when it’s good you’ll just be that much happier with the result

So many good points about the anti-marvel stuff online. I was literally just telling someone that if some of the phase 1 and 2 movies came out today people would be pushing this “Marvel fell off” narrative just like they are now. MCU has ALWAYS had some movies that were mid or even bad, but people weren’t hating then like they are now.

    We die with the dying:
See, they depart, and we go with them.
We are born with the dead:
See, they return, and bring us with them.
    T.S Eliot
Loki has created a timeline where Secret Wars will happen, but through all the death and destruction we will endure. Maybe Tony's message to him in the Avengers tower in the Avengers in 2012 really resonated with him here. "If we can't save the world, you can be damn sure we will Avenge it".

This has been the best from mcu for me, I think the kid mobius was supposed to prune but couldn't was kid loki at the end of time. Also lokis tears in that last scene were real, they had all been saying their goodbyes on set right before filming this scene, i also feel the gold appearing in his throne was almost like odin was giving him his approval

Exactly all that happened in season 1 & end of season 2 was in the matter of seconds compared to the way time works on a timeline.. it could have happened before the battle of endgame type shit if you think about it they went back in time Loki escaped & they came back & Loki could have been sitting on the throne by then

    • @struggleskywalker1025
      @struggleskywalker1025 10 місяців тому

Yeah I think once Loki officially sits on the throne WandaVision’s post credit scene has happened with her hearing her children screaming throughout the multiverse. Then during the AFTER period since Loki ascended the throne, everything up until and including Ant-Man 3 has happened already and that the flash of purple we see from Renslayer’s perspective is actually the version of Kang we thought we saw “die” in Quantumania showing up in the void.

20:24 At the End of Time, all people and nonliving things that get pruned wind up there ‘somewhere’ (which is ‘probably’ supposed to apply to all timelines that get pruned as well? In which case, several worlds of people and structures have been there at some point or another). Whether they survive Alioth or not (mostly ‘not’), the buildings tend to remain or fall apart.

  • @rpierre777

So, if you recall from the fist season, He Who Remains told Sylvie and Loki that, by killing him, the war will start and he will end up right back there. Everything that's happening is exactly the way He Who Remains said it would. This is was the crux of the conversation with Loki during this episode. This was supposed to happen. Remember when Loki said he will change the equation, He Who Remains dropped his head and was like "and round and round we go" (or something like that). A call-back to "and I'll just end up right back here anyway. Reincarnation, baby!".
He Who Remains also told Loki and Sylvie Alioth (?) was created FROM all of that chaos from the timelines. I believe when Loki destroyed the Loom, that created Alioth. This is (imo) what He Who Remains meant when he said the found the solution in both Loki and Sylvie. He needed Sylvie to kill him and Loki to ensure the war started. Sylvie frees the timelines and Loki maintains them because, "without the TVA, it all burns".
Loki being on his throne at the end is what brings the war. The war causes He Who Remains to end up in the Void meets Renslayer and Alioth. From the void he goes to the citadel to reset and manage the flow of time through the loom maintaining the sacred timeline. Loki time travels during the events on the sacred timeline because the Avengers were supposed to time travel but he wasn't. Loki Season 1 starts all over again. Rinse, dry, repeat.

  • @13apierce

Whether they are still pruning or not, the void still exists. However, that shot of Renslayer in the void was to show what happened to her after she got pruned in episode 4, she's officially dead now.
And the mention of 616-ajacent by Mobius was in reference to Quantumania, not doctor strange, as they were talking about He Who Remains' varients.

That pattern at the end looks like the tree on Asgard. Roots at the bottom dead and bringing them to life. Up top. Loki will be back to help the Avengers secret wars. Do you guys watch New Rockstars? Them guys break it down. Ant man handled the one Kang variant. Rensselaer was sent back to where people were pruned. That the color was purple the color of that monster.

The Void at the end of time still exist, because the people and timelines that have been pruned are already in the Void, (including Renslayer).
Alioth was purple and that is what Renslayer was looking at.
I can completely relate to Tasha’s feelings about Loki.
It’s bittersweet. I love that Loki has finally obtained his Glorious Purpose, that he has become the hero, that he has his throne.
However, I don’t want Loki to have to be alone.

I've seen/heard other reactors and critiques straight up tell viewers/listeners to not 'waste money' on another Marvel property currently in theaters just because they didn't like the movie. To me that's crossing a line and I have no respect for them. Giving your personal feelings is one thing but telling me to not watch it is another. Tv and film is there to be watched and people individually determine how they feel about what they watched. Funny how like you said other previous phase movies that weren't good didn't get the same type of hate. Ya'lls real talk towards the end of this vid plus your reaction won me over. Just subbed
